Can't go wrong with the Tried and True. Homemade tortillas and salsa are great way to elevate any taco bite beware....some tacos like the Nash have so much potato to make them seem fatter. The egg cheese papa and chorizo mush together into a weird concrete paste consistency that looks like you can make a New Mexico Adobe house out of. Don't plan to eat inside because it's small. Breakfast tacos used to be cheap... what happened??? These are some pretty substantial breakfast tacos but $15 for 3 tacos is kinda steep. And that's without cheese. They were good and filling but I don't think I'll be making this my regular breakfast spot. Maybe just once in a while if I'm in the area. read more

Got the Eric and Nash. Food is okay but price has gone up so much that it does not justify coming here. The Nash is 95% potato, cold shredded cheese, and no guac visible. Could not tase chorizo in the Eric. I gave Soliz another chance after a couple year hoping they would turn around. Safe to say will not be coming back. read more

This place has been around since I was in elementary school. The service is always amazing. They don't stay open late so whenever you have the craving for some good tacos, you have to get there early because the line is normally long and I believe they close at 2 PM. I love the Nash. But you can also never go wrong with a basic bacon egg and cheese breakfast taco. Their tortillas taste like they were handmade and they are so soft and fresh. I love this taco spot. They do have chairs for you to sit if you'd like, but the place is very small so I recommend ordering ahead of time and picking up for to go. read more

Stop by for the first time this morning and was going to get tacos, but the tamales were calling my name. I got a half dozen thinking I could eat a few and save the rest for later. Tried out this hole in the wall, place seemed pretty busy for morning, excellent customer service by Eric. However their breakfast tacos were sub par. Tortillas were thick, definitely not freshly made. Eggs were not cracked, seemed like they are using some pre-made stuff. Been coming here for 12 years now. I get the Darlene and a soda everytime and it never steers me wrong. The bacon they use is so thick but crispy still, flavorful. You can tell the tortillas are homemade which I love and the service is also so pleasant and quick. I've watched them evolve as a business and am so proud to see how far they've come. I recently started working in the area and I have to say it is definitely dangerous being so close to Soliz. My usual go tos are the Nash and the Darlene. I also like their Barbacoa and menudo that they have only on weekends. The tortillas are so soft and tasty. They also don't skimp on the filling. I don't know what it is as the ingredients are so simple but it's just a tasty breakfast taco! The service is also always top notch. I usually call in my order ahead of time in fear of a wait but their phone lines were down the other day (I still had to go because I already promised my coworkers Soliz so I couldn't let them down) and my food was ready in less than 10 min! read more

The tacos were great. I also ordered the menudo, and the flavor was very good but it did not have a lot of tripe (meat). It was majority broth. The salsa for the tacos was ok and not very spicy. The service was very friendly. We were greeted coming in the door and thanked when we left. The ambiance is as expected for a small taco house. We have gone here for years. The only thing I dislike are their potatoes. Instead of using diced, browned potatoes they use mashed potatoes which I think ruin a good taco, so I make sure to order tacos without potato. read more

Had the Darlene & Nash breakfast tacos. I was absolutely starving at this point, so the tacos filled a huge void for me. For $3.50, they're an excellent value. The tacos are quite large for the price, with plenty of stuff inside and a nice-sized tortilla. The tortilla itself was just a bit too thick for me, but any thinner and it might've or been strong enough to hold all the goodies inside. They include salsa for each taco and it does make it better, but I'd need more. Otherwise, the tacos are quite "meh" in taste. The exact ingredients that you see on the menu, just that it lacks in overall flavor. However, these tacos definitely helped me overcome my hunger at a desperate time. read more

This is an awesome spot to grab some hearty breakfast tacos. I've been quite a few times, but narrowed down a singular favorite menu item. Each option for me at least seem to lack one thing I want from another variation. For example, the Eric has everything I want except a proper meat protein. And the meaty tacos, while still tasty, don't quite hit the same level of satisfaction. Sure, you can load up with additional toppings, but that can push up the price a bit, and we're talking about breakfast tacos here. They only take advance orders by phone, which can be a bummer during their peak busy hours. It'd be great to be able to have the option to order online so I'm not waiting around for them to pick up. But I gotta hand it to them... orders are made pretty quickly around 10-15 minutes a sizeable order of 10 tacos. Just be aware, parking is a bit tight, and so is the interior space. read more

Tortillas are sub part which is a critical part of a breakfast taco... especially an overpriced breakfast taco. $4 is entirely too much for some potatoes and eggs. Anyway, I don't come here often and was reminded again today why that is... waiting 25 minutes for two tacos is completely unreasonable. Most other taco shops around have everything cooked and ready to go so it takes 5-10 minutes max. Furthermore, service is subpar. I get that the cashier is running the entire front of shop but you can at least greet people when the arrive at the register. Ignoring people standing in front of you just shows a complete lack in understanding of customer service. I ended up leaving without even asking for a refund or update on my tacos. Not worth my time, won't be coming back, won't be bulk ordering 50 tacos for work there anymore either. read more

I haven't tried the breakfast tacos like everyone else but did order a couple of lunch tacos. I got the soliz special which had carne guisada, rice and beans and the hughie which has grilled chicken, bacon, beans, and cheese. The beef tips in the soliz special was a little dry for me but had good flavor, especially with the rice and beans. The hughie was so so for me. The chicken was seasoned but somewhat moist and I felt like the bacon was too crunchy. I think the bacon should have been more tender for the taco. The tortillas were a little thick for my liking but were freshly made so they were nice and warm. I still plan on trying the breakfast tacos being that all the reviews I've seen say they're bomb. After I give them a try I'll let you guys know. read more

Who wants some tasty breakfast tacos and excellent customer service? The customer service loyalty is real here. When I came here over the summer, I overheard workers asking customers about their gardens, plans to return to school, and other little personal details you wouldn't know if you weren't a regular. The quality of the tacos were good compared to other places. I enjoyed the variety and the fact that they had a restaurant quality feel to them from the size, ingredients, and taste. They weren't bad tacos for it being a little taco stand. Negatives? Parking is atrocious. You either get one or two spaces, maybe three, or park on a street next to a ditch. It literally took me longer to get out of the street, hoping I don't fall into the ditch then going there and giving them my order. I didn't know this at the time, but online ordering is faster, otherwise you'll be stuck in a long line. For a Stafford place, this was pretty good. I'm impressed to say the least. read more
