Woah!!! I tried Raizes for the first time last weekend, and I had such an incredible experience. The restaurant looks unassuming--the strip mall was pretty dead around the time we came (8 pm), the sign was flickering, and there was no one else in the restaurant. But we were not deterred. As soon as we came in, we were greeted with a smile. The menu is fairly small, but it still had so many great options. We ended up ordering the Enchiladas Suizas and the Enfrijoladas. Both were incredible--so flavorful and rich. We also received a complementary rice-based soup before the entree, and a complementary rice pudding after. I also loved both of those so much. Overall, I highly recommend. Probably some of the best Mexican food I've had, and when combined with friendly staff, quick service, and great prices, you can't beat it! read more

This is a an authentic gem of a place, y'all. My brother recommended this restaurant and he didn't disappoint. We stopped by an early morning, and our breakfast was authentic Mexican, full of flavor, and at pleasantly large portions for the price. I got simple bean and cheese breakfast tacos, and they were large, packed tortillas - they didn't hold back. Same with my husband's, he commented that his chorizo and egg taco was great portion and not oily, which chorizo typically is. He loved their menudo, and couldn't stop raving about the flavor - and this is a rarity for him. On the way out I noticed they have their own blend of coffees and they even sell it, how awesome is that! The gentleman who took care of us was fantastic from beginning to end, and something about his service reminded me of home in the best of ways. This truly feels like one of those places I will happily share the word on so more people try this place out. Best Authentic Mexican Food in Texas!!! Their menu is simple yet so damn flavorful! We ordered the Chilaquiles with Arrachera Breakfast Plate and the Raízes Classic Breakfast Plate. Went here because a friend of ours recommended them to us because their food was good and sauces were excellent. We stop by on a Tuesday for lunch and it was quite busy for a small shop. The service was good and the food didn't take too long to come out. I thought their dishes were ok. The meat dishes didn't have much flavor but it was very tender. Sauces helped a bit but we want to come back and give them another try on different menu items. The queso and chips tasted kind of bland and water down. Best item was their broccoli and zucchini soup. It was delicious. We will be back to support again. read more

Love this place. We recently went to Chunks for a burger next door ( quite good) and noticed Raize's. After look it up and seeing great reviews we popped in for lunch in a Sunday. Yum! The staff is very sweet and the food was quite authentic homestylye Mexican. They served a lovely soup (zucchini cream I think). We ordered empanadas which was served with an incredible sauce. I had the Alhambras and my husband had something I can't pronounce let alone spell haha but was basically chicken enchiladas with a bean sauce, quite spicy, which he loved. The different agua frescas looked divine but we made the rookie mistake of ordering iced tea (great but we didn't look at the drink menu). We will definitely return. read more

I'm the "Room Mom" for our daughter's dance team. They had an EOY party Thursday to celebrate their successful season on Thursday. I helped cater & organize the party. The Coach asked me to grab the breakfast for the girls from Raze's. I had never heard of the restaurant and it was very hard to find! I called for directions & the owner was very friendly, stayed in the phone with me to guide me there, and when I pulled in he had several employees load the breakfast tacos into my car. Breakfast for 20 girls was a lot of food. He even gave me paper plates to bring to the party! The short drive back to the school was pure torture! Smelling the fresh tortillas & bacon!! I had to go back after the party and purchase a potato, bacon, egg, & cheese taco! It was delicious and did not disappoint! I took a picture of their menu & will be using them to cater other parties in the future! The shop is kind of hidden but is in Dulles Plaza directly across the street from Dulles Middle School. I did get a little frustrated trying to find the place but it was 100% worth the drive! Highly recommend this place! read more

The service was good. The coffee was good and the staff were friendly. After 4 days with our dad in the hospital we did look pretty rough. But I think she thought we were homeless. After our order was taken by a waiter another worker approached us wary and asked if we were going to eat. It was awkward and maybe a little funny. This little restaurant has been there for a while...just a hole in the wall kind of place. It's not a big restaurant, just a few tables. I've dined in several times and also ordered breakfast tacos to go. The food quality is so good, the normal tacos (only around $4.50-$5.00) is large with a lot of meat!!! I also love the breakfast tacos which are smaller compared to the regular tacos (~$2.85). The Barbados, Chorizo and egg, Pastora are all so delicious!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. One can easily order online through their website and go pick up. Food is high quality, portion is large and taste is consistently awesome!!! I ordered the chorizo and egg, but it was far from actual chorizo. My son enjoyed his pancakes until he found a long piece of plastic in them. We saw all the great reviews and had to try it. My wife enjoyed the Aristo's plate, beef skirt steak, grilled chicken, shrimp and guacamole. She had a choice between rice and beans or grilled vegetables, she picked the veggies and they were as good as the entree, the skirt was a little chewy for her so I non-reluctantly ate it....very tasty. I went with carne guisada with rice and beans, super tender and full of flavor and more than I could eat. We both did flour instead of corn tortillas. They carry and serve Katz coffee, they even have their own blend of beans, from Indonesia and South America, tried a cup and had to bring home a bag of whole beans. They have two thermos's of coffee, one flavored...today's was Tx Hill Country Pecan, the nonflavored was their own Raizes House Blend. We loved a couple small salads with cilantro dressing. The young man/owner brought us three different salsas, the clear plastic squeese bottle had a green mild sauce, the red was the medium heat and the yellow was very hot and tasty, try a drop and enjoy carefully....they brought us a small plate with lime wedges and I completely forgot about them. We'll be back. They do breakfast, lunch and dinner except for Sunday and Monday...they close at 3 pm those days and open every day at 7 am. read more

I found this restaurant while looking up reviews on Yelp. It lived up to my expectations. The server was so nice- I told him that we were visiting his restaurant for the first time after seeing such a high Yelp rating. The chicken enchiladas were yummy as was the other dish that my spouse ordered. More than the food, the server was very welcoming & friendly- This makes such a huge difference.
