The beef and chicken fajitas for one was split between me and my better half, glad we didn't do 'fitas for two. We always have to get a ground beef enchilada on the side when we rate a new place. She enjoyed a tamale on the side, i enjoyed it too. The 'fita plate came with a side plate loaded with rice, refried beans ( my choice) and guacamole and pico de gallo. This is an absolute gem in southwest Houston. When we visit friends here we go here almost every day. The breakfast- migas con chorizo, bacon egg and cheese taco, the refried beans, guac. The flour tortillas. My son loves the steak fajitas. EVERYTHING IS SO SO GOOD. We've been going here for 15 years. We don't live here but wish we did. I was working in Stafford. A friend who lives there and I had made plans to meet for a margarita during National Margarita Day. She suggested Eduardo's. The salsa is warm and not too spicy. The chips are not greasy. Big frozen margaritas are $5. They're pretty strong. We arrived at about 3 p.m. Lunch specials last through 4 p.m. That's great and rarely heard of. I order spinach quesadillas. They're $10.50 you get four with sour cream and a little bit of guacamole. They're pretty good. Our waiter was really nice. Hidden jem in Stafford! Very friendly staff and cheaper prices than I've seen in awhile. Beef fajita chimichanga was $13.95 - at least $5 cheaper than anywhere else. Honestly one of the best restaurants to find or even go to despite my initial thoughts on our pick of this place! My group and I were deciding on a place to get dinner for a meet up. With a group of 10, we made a reservation and was seated easily for dinner. The dish in the food was $10.50 plus tax and for that amount and cost, it's well worth it! This hidden gem right at the corner of 90 and Murphy, behind the Urgent Care is a family favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is always fresh and the servings are plentiful. Their various platters gives you a taste of a little of everything because surely looking at the menu, you want everything. My go to selection is the Taco Salad with the fajita beef. The bowl itself is fried to perfection and slightly flaky just they I like it. What impresses me the most, oddly enough, is the lettuce! It always taste so fresh and clean! I'm not much of a salad or healthy eater but the salad tastes so good! Lol. Doesn't taste like it's been sitting there welting or soggy. The Sylvia Platter is another one we order often for my kids as it's gives multiple options to satisfy their bellies and mood. The complimentary chips are delicious and the kids enjoy it as well. The red sauce has a good spicy kick to it. Since the pandemic, we have not dined in. However, they are open for dine in. We have been ordering to go and the food is still amazing. I grew up in and around Houston and South Texas on old school Tex Mex. I found Eduardo's about 20 years ago and it reminded me of the original joints that defined Tex Mex. After two decades, I still find myself appreciating Eduardo's for the fantastic, often perfectly-executed food and unpretentious atmosphere. Enjoying a meal at Eduardo's and really soaking in everything about the almost nostalgic experience is often a highlight for me -- from the restaurant decor to the classic country music sometimes playing to the warm and friendly owner and staff. It's an experience that was once so common, but sadly is becoming increasingly rare. Thanks to the owners for their hard work. Highly recommended. Tip: The menu is extensive, but there are many gems. For breakfast, try the Machacado con huevo (a la Mexicana). For lunch/dinner, try the carnitas on corn tortillas. The soups are also excellent. read more

Totally decent place. We weren't blown away like other reviewers, but the place was ok. We went on a Friday evening and it was busy! Definitely not a quiet place and it was filled with lots of families. The service was good. The queso was a little thin but it was good. One person had a peach margarita and enjoyed it. She mentioned that she had a frozen drink in the past at Eduardo's and it was very alcoholic/strong, so they don't do wimpy pours here. My flautas were good. My husband's enchiladas were good but spicy which was a surprise since he had the verdes sauce. The burrito here is large enough to feed a small village and is packed with the full range of Mexican food items. Everything was served piping hot which was great. We were satisfied with our dinner and for $57 it wasn't a bad deal (4 adult meals, 1 alcoholic drink and queso). The only thing I really didn't like was the seating. We sat in a booth and it was extremely uncomfortable. The booths are very old and are physically breaking down. Our booth seat was high in the front and low in the back so you sat with your legs dangling above the floor and your butt stuck farther down. I felt like I was in an ejector seat. If we had been alone, my husband and I would have moved, but my dad was settled so we endured. I hope they can change out the seating to something less contorting. I'd go back and sit at a table. Eduardo's was recommended for lunch by one of my good friends. The restaurant is tucked back in a small strip mall off Murphy Road and easy to miss if your not looking. The restaurant has an old world Mexican theme with many 4 top tables and booths throughout the restaurant. My friend and her mother said they have been coming here for 28 years. Affordability, quality and service has kept them returning. We began with a large bowl of delicious Queso which was a touch spicy. Jalapenos were served on the side for those wanting more heat. The large was enough for us and still take some home. The Salsa and Chips arrived moments after we were seated. The server was ready to take our order immediately but I wasn't quite ready. He didn't just disappear but came back promptly to take our lunch orders. Our food arrived very quickly on super hot plates! One of my friends ordered a beef taco, rice and beans. She was very disappointed with the spice level of the meat. It was very bland, no seasoning and she only had two bites. This has happened in the past with the tacos but she had forgotten. She'll order something different on her next visit. My other friend had the Beef Fajita Tacos served with rice and beans. The portion of tender meat and veggies were generous. I had the Chicken Enchiladas which were stuffed with a very flavorful, shredded chicken. The rice was very fluffy and the beans had a touch of spice. The server was great, kept our drinks refilled, brought carry out containers timely and was very polite. We had a very enjoyable lunch with the exception of the taco situation. read more

Eduardo's is definitely one of the top mexican restaurants in the Stafford area. Their prices are great, food was tasty and service was excellent. I came with my colleagues and we are now putting this restaurant on our weekly lunch rotation. We started with the regular salsa and then I requested the "hot" salsa and they brought it out complimentary. The hot is a smoother sauce and I found it to be neither hot, nor chunky....and kinda boring. From now on, I'll stick to the regular salsa which has a fresher taste. I ordered the two crispy taco plate, one of the many lunch selections for only $5.50. Mine came with well seasoned ground beef, crispy taco shells that were probably store bought, homemade refried beans and rice that was just ok. Taste was great, my only complaint was that the beef was too watery and caused both taco shells to become soggy and break...ewwww! My colleague's two dishes looked really great as they both ordered items with their homemade flour tortillas, especially the fajita chicken plate which came with 2 tortillas and grilled peppers and onions. Next time I'll try the fajita beef and see how they rank among houston finest tex mex joints. Their lunch fajitas, beef or chicken, at $7.95 is about as cheap as you will find in Houston. read more

We have been coming here for many years. Decided to get something to go since we had been working in the yard and didn't want to clean up and come in to dine. Ordered the beef fajitas for two. The meat just wasn't flavorful. The beans were ok but the rice was sub-par. I have had beef fajitas from both El Tiempo and Gringos fajitas recently and they were both head and shoulders above what was received at Eduardo's. Not a month ago, I ordered the beef enchiladas here to go and they were excellent. Bad night or a trend? It will take another visit or two to be certain. read more

Oh. My. Goodness. Got this restaurant's name from a friend and it did not disappoint. My husband was looking for some good menudo and this place delivered 5 quality menudo for an excellent price. The serving size of all the food was large for the price and the food was definitely fresh. I chose some breakfast tacos off the "all day breakfast menu" and they are freshly made to order, the eggs are real not powder and the meat component to the taco is generous. We ended up having plenty to take home. I'm told the margaritas are amazing (every table around us had some) but we didn't try them this time. We will for sure be back!! read more

I have been coming here since it was a four table hole in the wall on Dairy Ashford. Food has always been great, and prices have always been reasonable. The menu is quite unique with dishes named after local neighborhoods, very cool. Came here as a group from work once and they gave us a couple of platters of bean cheese nachos on the house. I was really craving chips and salsa and fajitas. This place definitely satisfied that! The salsa was good, although more liquidy than I prefer. It has a nice kick to it. We ordered the frozen house margarita, which was very strong..but after letting it melt a bit, it was a little better. We ordered a bacon, potato, and egg breakfast taco. It comes with 2 tortillas, making it perfect for a taste test and to share! I enjoyed the taco a lot. The only thing I wish is for the potatoes to be cut smaller, but that's just being nit picky. We also ordered Elly's plate which comes with some enchiladas and a crispy taco. I wasn't too impressed with this. It comes with a lot of food, but I would definitely pass on this next time. We also ordered fajitas mixed with chicken and beef. The flavor was on point! The sides were also good. I replaced the beans with fries, which were surprisingly crispy (random for a Mexican restaurant but glad they had it). The service was great! The waiters were attentive and very sweet. I was impressed with their mannerism. Overall, I would rate this place a 3.5. The food is decent and workers are nice. They weren't overly busy on a Sunday afternoon and their prices are cheap. I can never find enchiladas where i like the cheese and the chili gravy, I had the cheese enchiladas here and i loved them! This will definitely be my go to spot for enchiladas now.
