We did the Boos and Brews tour and all 6 of us thought it was the cheesiest thing ever. Our tour guide was really rude when we walked up, informing us that we had 1 minute to go inside and get a drink. Then when we tried to get a drink, they were out of most of the beers on tap and my seabreeze was more a vodka and cranberry juice. Our tour guide just kept telling everyone to take pictures, take pictures and look for orbs. One person kept getting what she thought were orbs, but then she cleaned her lens and it was gone! From the sound of the other reviews, they must have some better guides, but based on our experience I would not recommend this tour. read more

Thank you Tara Haunted Tours for a great night out!!! Winding through the streets of Savannah with tour guide Chad was an absolute blast! We enjoyed the mix of ghost stories and city history very much, and the bars provided great stops along the way (and all included great haunting tales of their own too, who knew?). We couldn't believe how cool the experience at Moon River was. I got chills just walking up the stairs to the haunted second floor...we never would have gotten this experience without being on the tour! Chad was very kind to give us easy-to-follow directions back to our car at the end of the night. This was a very safe, well organized, and FUN adventure!!! Both my husband and I were pretty disappointed by this tour. We were hoping for more spooky stories about the town, ghosts, etc. but in reality it was more of just a walking night tour of Savannah. The most disappointing part of the tour was our tour guide, Wendy. She was not a good storyteller, couldn't keep anyone's attention, and the "equipment" she brought for ghost hunting didn't work because of dead batteries. I get this tour is all in fun and we aren't ghost hunters, but I think the tour guide should at least come prepared. She frequently forgot what she was saying and would trail off in the middle of her story. We were really looking forward to this tour while on vacation, but definitely did not live up to expectations. The bachelorette party on tour with us agreed and didn't even end up finishing the tour! (Mostly because Wendy decided to leave them at the last bar.) Save your money! read more

Being our first time in Savannah, we had a friend recommend Tara Haunted Tours. I even checked a few extra places out, and felt this was going to be our best option- and boy was that right! We took a Thursday night tour and wound up as the only people on it! Stephanie was amazing. She was super friendly and welcoming, and very knowledgeable when it came to all the history and stories- including answers to all the inquisitive musings my husband had. She even gave us extra stories, including personal encounters she's had at certain places! She suggested certain drinks at each bar, and even brought us to a cool bar close to our hotel at the end of the tour for us to end our night! I was really amazed at all the details she knew about the history of Savannah and some of the more well known houses. I was in awe the entire time. Stephanie even sent me a reminder text to look up a video she had mentioned on the tour (which was worth it- creepy!). I highly recommend the Boos and Brews tour if you're looking for a fun, spooky night! And ask for Stephanie- she was the best!! read more

It was my first trip to Savannah and I couldn't have been more excited. When I found Tara Haunted Tours and their Boos and Brews tour I called and booked immediately. We had a blast! Our guide was Dale and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had tons of great stories and personal accounts as well as every silly question I had. The highlight of the tour was definitely Moon River Breweing Co. Visiting this spot was a must have for a ghost tour in Savannah and Tara Tours is one of, if not the only, tours group that visits the Brewery's basement and 2nd floor. We took tons of photos but sadly didn't capture anything. However, we felt TONS of spooky things in the Moon River basement. It is not to be missed! read more

This was our 2nd Savannah ghost tour. We did the haunted pub crawl tour. It was actually really good. Our guide Chad was concise, believable and entertaining. He carried a photo album with photos taken by people on previous tours and they were pretty convincing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a Ghost tour in Savannah. read more

I do not have enough good things to say about Tara's Haunted Tours. I booked a Boos and Brews tour with Tara's for a bachelorette party of 15. She was rated highly on several blogs I read so I figured she was the best of the best. When I called I was able to get right through, no waiting or having to call back or leave voicemails. I booked the reservation immediately and pre-paid to guarantee our reservation. Payment went through with no problem, la dee da we are all set to go. I call 17hundred90 to make dinner reservations for before the tour only to learn that it is a stop on the tour which was pretty exciting. So we go to dinner at 17hundred90 (which I also HIGHLY recommend) and I get a call from Tara saying that we got a private tour and that our tour guide Jackie would meet us at 17hundred90 so we didn't have to walk all the way back across town only to come back again. It was such a pleasant surprise. The tour was the perfect length and Jackie was an AWESOME tour guide. She shared the historic ghost tours as well as her own personal paranormal encounters. It was great. All around A+ from all parties involved. We had a GREAT time. 100% recommend Tara's Haunted Tours. read more

We were absolutely wowed by tour guide Jessica's knowledge of history and haunting tales from beyond! We toured the most frightening locations as well as enjoyed craft beer along the way. Definitely recommend this to all who are seeking ghosts that say "boo!" We chose this tour because it seemed to get the best reviews but we were not impressed. Too much time in the bars and not enough "ghost story" We could have easily gone to those bars on our own and googled the stories. Our tour guide busy taking care of her dog she brought along and was a distraction. I would have liked more ghost stories along the way. Showing pictures on the iPad was a little tacky also, hard to tell if anything is photoshopped, could easily see that on the Internet for free. read more

We experienced a rather dull lack-luster tour duirng a Saturday evening (11/16/2013) in Savanneh. Although our guide was knowledgeable about the area we really saw nothing that was even remote 'ghost-like'. About half-way through the tour we clearly lost all interest and informed our guide that we were heading off to another venue. If you are a history buff who likes hearing about the history of Savannah--then this tour may work for you--but I wouldn't characterize this tour as a 'fun' or 'exciting' night out on the town. read more

I booked a "boos and brews" tour for 16 girls traveling from MA for a bachelorette party. Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Matthew our trip got cancelled. But, the people are Tara Tours were fantastic with their customer service. They made booking easy and refunding us just as easy. If we ever get the chance to end up in Savannah for another trip I will certainly be contacting them. read more

This was a great addition to our weekend. We came to Savannah for a bachelorette party but not everyone was 21 so we did the Happy Hour tour from 5-7. Although it was sooooo hot, we enjoyed the trip. What made it was the tour guide, Steve! He was quite entertaining for our group. It wasn't really scary since it was still daylight but he did give us some interesting information as well as answer all our questions! Thanks Steve! We had a great time!! read more

I have to say I was so disappointed in this tour. While waiting for all of our group to show up we noticed that we were part of the 3rd tour group for Tara's Tours that night (they are definitely busy). My tour guide told me that since I'm female and booked my group of 8 they assumed we were a bachelorette party (which we weren't). So when the 18 person bachelorette party joined us a half hour late we were finally able to leave. The first bar we stopped at was full and we could not go in so we ended up standing around for 15 minutes before we left. This would have been a great time for a ghost story from the tour guide but she never did that - we just all stood around waiting. It was 9:30 before we actually heard a ghost story (an hour & a half into our two hour tour). The other thing that really bothers me is the group size. Our tour had 26 and one of the other groups was 35. I know I read somewhere that this company prides itself on smaller group sizes (of 20) so that you have a good experience but that was clearly not the case. Unfortunately that is one of the reasons I had booked Tara's Tours. In the end the bachelorette ladies left for a show and we got some extra time with our guide. She did try to make things better later but unfortunately it was a little too late to recover the evening. read more
