Getting answers, having calls returned, and getting clear information about what was happening became an ongoing struggle. What was especially upsetting was that I rely on this attorney to properly handle an important real estate transaction, and I feel that his lack of knowlege and attention to the matter resulted in significant unneccessary costs and stress for me. I should not have had to repeatedly chase down information or question whether things were being handled correctly. The entire process left me feeling that my interests were not being adequately represented. For the amount of money I paid, I expected competent legal guidance, clear communication, and someone who would take responsibility for my transaction. All of his numbers on prior closing statement were incorrect and not in my favor. Even post closing when everything was supposed to have been handled, I am incurring costs. I would not use this attorney ever and based on my experience I would encourage anyone looking for a real estate attorney not to look at his 5 star review, instead ask for his references from clients.

The original fine was about $300 in October, which I returned, checked off stating I was going to contest it, hoping I could get reduced fine. Now the fine was up to $955 for my August court date. 10 months and $700 of interest! WTF! John told me that I could NOT go there anytime I wanted to fight the ticket, but he could becaues he is a LAWYER. He said he would be in there for an hour and it would cost $450 for his services but would do it for $350. Thanks John. I call Dennis B. And he said the fine should be around $80, so about $180 total. This is exactly what I did and I only paid a $85 fine!!!! So don't trust THE SNAKE IN THE SUIT that goes by the name of John Caffrey. Do yourself a favor and visit an HONEST lawyer Dennis B. He found several errors in a will, errors in the description of assets and just shoddy work that would have caused delays and complications during probate. He had to get the previous attorney to sign affidavits explaining the issues.
