We go to this Halal restaurant, by the Jordanian owner, regularly. Their speciality is the whole chicken that they cook over charcoal. They cook it upon order, so expect 30-45 minutes delay. We have tried their kabob one time and it was okay but nothing special. They don't have regular tap water and you have to buy bottled water which is fine with me. What I don't like is when asked for shatta/hot sauce, a small container will be brought in, and then they will you charge you for that without telling you about the extra charge first. Almost all mediterranean restaurant never charge for any shatta, in my experience, but this restaurant does! On top of that, extra charge for shatta is not mentioned in the menu or anywhere or verbally said by the server. Not sure how hard is it for the restaurant to be transparent with the pricing with the diners. Their Richardson location website also doesn't work and I am not sure why it is then advertised on Google. The other thing I don't like is that they now have new items on the menu like rotisserie chicken and other items. It is not mentioned by the server and also not listed in their restaurant menu. How would the customer know about these new items? They also do catering and have varitey of different items only available through catering. Again, how would customer know about their catering service and about those items only available through catering? Not sure what the thinking process is, but they surely are losing interested and potential new customers to other bunch of similar restaurants in the area! They have to improve their communications if they want to survive and thrive. read more

Love this place. Their hummus is on another level! The only drawback is the food quality is never consistent and It takes an unusually long time to get take out or even longer if you dine in. The chicken is sometimes juicy and other times so dry! I'd rather have it overcooked than uncooked though! Service is ALWAYS friendly. read more

Overall, this is a pretty good restaurant. At first I really wasn't impressed. The restaurant itself is not very polished and when it's busy can look a little messy with dirty tables from previous customers. I would also avoid using the bathroom. The server was kind and quick to bring our food and take our order, but I was not a big fan of watching our server vape in the corner while I was eating. The reason this gets a 4 star is because the food is quite exceptional. Everything was well seasoned and cooked over charcoal fire. All their meats were really juicy and tender and their hummus with pita was super smooth and delicious. It was only $50 for 3 people to eat their fill and have leftovers. I probably wouldn't bring people here to show them the area, but could see myself stopping here again to get food for takeout. read more

Possibly my new favorite place to get kefta kebabs and hummus near my house! Ordered the kefta kabob with hummus. The kefta here is so good! Not only do they cook it to just the right internal temperature for a juicy, tasty meal, but they have actual charcoal pits they cook over! That adds so much flavor to the meat compared to a griddle. The hummus explodes with flavor, rich in chickpea taste, as well as tons of tahini and olive oil. The pita bread is the standard crappy pita bread you get from the grocery store. While I dont hold it against them for using it, like a lot of other places, I wish they would use slightly better pita bread. It helps if you can heat up the pita bread at home if you do take out. Their rice is super fragrant and has lots of flavor. The texture of the rice is just about perfect in consistency. My girlfriend has ordered lamb chops and the lamb kebabs here and both were fantastic from the one bite I tried. The only downside is when they get busy, the servers get quite overwhelmed. And believe me when I say this place can get busy. An unassuming afternoon can bring in multiple large families, along with to go orders, that strain the resources of all the servers and cooks. The first time I was here, there were at least 30 people eating. That doesn't sound like a lot, but this place only has a few people running the place. They arent the best at multi-tasking, so you may have to remind them several times for the check or for what you are waiting on. read more
