Toum and eggplant salad were stars of the show here For entrees, we got the beef kabab, chicken kababs and shish tawook. Chicken was also good but beef tasted pretty gamey and definitely not as flavorful. Arrayes were disappointing. Not nearly enough filling and beef also tasted gamey. Apricot juice and the Gilgamesh juice were both pretty good and refreshing. Water is NOT free so be prepared. Service was good as well. Was really looking forward to having some Iraqi food and As upsetting as it is for me to say this, but this place needs lots of work. Food was priced up there with the top restaurants and the food and service were not good at all. Half the items on the menu were not available. When we ordered fish we were told it's a "Redfish", it's not a redfish at all, it's actually a pompano. Fish was literally burned and served as if this is normal. Every chicken dish we ordered was unavailable. To make matters worse the manager or lead in the restaurant was treating the employees like trash. Yelling at them, ridiculing them, even yelling at them for not telling us a dish we ordered was not available. The kebab I ordered was totally dry and seemed to have no salt. Anyway, I hope this place makes some drastic changes soon. You really need to visit some of the other Middle Eastern restaurants and seeing what they do. I really want this place to succeed because Iraqi food is some of the best on the planet and this place needs to work with being a better representation of it. read more

Initially super excited to eat at an Iraqi restaurant- but was quickly disappointed by some large gaps. Not all the menu items had pictures so it was difficult to know what to order-and with the price difference being $100 on some items it really would have made a difference. Thankfully we had a great sever who suggested items and quirky brought out our appetizers and main course without any issues. We stopped by Gilgamesh on a weekday afternoon. They serve a complimentary soup which is yummy. While I really enjoyed my food, my fiance was not a fan of his. I did a mixed grill half order. It comes served with a giant fresh piece of pita with rice and middle eastern style pickles . All of it was delicious . My fiance on the other hand got one of their shawarma sandwiches - he was not a fan of the seasoning and the fact that it was cooked in lamb fat. Came here randomly yesterday because it was close to the coffee shop I was at. There is plenty of seating with chairs and booths and the food was delicious! We were given some soup right when we sat down and the service made us feel right at home! Very good! I got the Golden Fish or in Arabic, Zbeidi fish (American butterfish) and my partner got the mixed grill. My fish was incredible and had a really buttery feeling to it even though there was zero butter on it, would definitely get it again no doubt! And the lady that served us was so sweet and attentive! Lemonade was from country time mix with mint bits. Tables are not cleaned. Did not get the order correct, only 3 out of 5 got their food. We tipped 20% because we felt bad for the service workers. I hope the owner gives them their share. They made excuses. One of the dishes had to be a to go because 4 people were done eating and the 5th dish was still not ready. HORRIBLE SERVICE, The beef kebab is what me and my mother-in-law ordered and we assumed it was going to be beef, nowhere on the menu did it say it was practically ground lamb. It had a very strong very strong smell of lamb not edible to those who do not like lamb. Big warning it is extremely gamey they should've mentioned that on the menu that it is mixed with lamb or goat whatever it is that it's mixed with. The service was absolutely horrible the waitress never checked on us not even once and it was slow. then she brought out a completely wrong dish that I did not order. I ordered beef kebab she brought out lamb chunks and when I told her that's not what I ordered. When I told her I didn't order it she got upset and walked away with a weird attitude. When she had to go and grab the right plate and then she apologized for bringing out the wrong plate. Once again all the food was served appetizers that we ordered we never brought out at this point there's still no drinks the fourth time my husband got up to ask for the drinks he had to go up to the table where she was and practically barge his way to get the drinks. she forgot to bring us drinks. We had elderly people eating with us. We came for a birthday dinner and he was elderly and I'm sure he felt very sad that this is how the restaurant performed that he chose or wouldn't recommend coming here. If you love lamb then you may be a fan of their meat if not be careful because the menu is not accurate in the service is not very good. Then they brought our food and walked away. We had to ask them for plates and serving spoons.
