Fantastic experience! We went to celebrate my stepsons birthday and we all loved the food. Everything came out juicy and fresh. Lemonade is made from scratch also. Can't wait to go back and try more! The leftovers reheated well also.

Food was on point till I tried their lamb chops. It was small and not cooked well. The mix grill , beef kebabs and fish grill was moist and well flavored . The flat bread that comes is ordinary. You get a complimentary soup which was good. The sever was very cordial and welcoming.

I am so delighted we tried this spot! I dropped by for lunch during a work day and it was such a great choice! This sandwich was delicious, everything was so fresh and tasty. You cant see it in the photo, but there are a bunch of veggies lodged back there that were so yummy. And it was so so affordable too! Definitely want to try more things on their menu!

We stopped by Gilgamesh on a weekday afternoon. They serve a complimentary soup which is yummy. While I really enjoyed my food, my fiance was not a fan of his. I did a mixed grill half order. It comes served with a giant fresh piece of pita with rice and middle eastern style pickles . All of it was delicious . My fiance on the other hand got one of their shawarma sandwiches - he was not a fan of the seasoning and the fact that it was cooked in lamb fat. The waiter was kind enough to make him a different one, but it does have a very distinct flavor . It's worth checking out in my opinion

Tried Gilgamesh for the first time and loved it! It's a casual Mediterranean spot serving Iraqi dishes, and everything we ordered was so good. We started with the eggplant salad--such a solid vegetarian option, loaded with tomatoes, peppers, onions, and topped with pomegranate molasses. For the main, I got the Shish Tawook (chicken skewers) and my boyfriend got the Mix Grill so we could try a little bit of everything. The lamb was my favorite. It was super tender and flavorful. Everything came with rice, grilled veggies, and pickles. Also, don't skip the Iraqi tea! Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely be back when I'm craving grilled meats and cozy comfort food.

Came here randomly yesterday because it was close to the coffee shop I was at. There is plenty of seating with chairs and booths and the food was delicious! We were given some soup right when we sat down and the service made us feel right at home! The server recommended we get the meat bbq mix so that we could try all of the flavors of meat and I highly recommend that! The bread with hummus and baba ghanoush was also delicious, would definitely come again for some tummy Mediterranean food!

I felt like I was transported to Asia, which I loved! Chill setting with warm welcome. Our server was attentive and the food was flavorful. We got the mixed grill and it could easily feed 4 people. I loved that delicious bread and aromatic soup are included.

Very good! I got the Golden Fish or in Arabic, Zbeidi fish (American butterfish) and my partner got the mixed grill. My fish was incredible and had a really buttery feeling to it even though there was zero butter on it, would definitely get it again no doubt! And the lady that served us was so sweet and attentive! Gave me two rounds of their delicious complimentary lentil soup. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

The lamb quzi was delicious especially since the rice was flavorful and the lamb was flavorful and tender to the point that it easily falls off the bone. However, the bread and the stew was just alright.

Prices are up charged and they clearly cut corners for ingredients which is reflected in the food. Rice and kabobs were very greasy. Bread was the cheap pita you get from Sarah's. Lemonade was from country time mix with mint bits. Tables are not cleaned. Did not get the order correct, only 3 out of 5 got their food. We tipped 20% because we felt bad for the service workers. I hope the owner gives them their share. They made excuses. One of the dishes had to be a to go because 4 people were done eating and the 5th dish was still not ready. When we got home the chicken was anorexic. I don't understand these 5 star reviews. I would never recommend. One star due to the owner running this place so terribly.

I rarely leave reviews , in fact, this may be my first one, but this experience was so negative…read morethat I feel compelled to share it. I ordered two sandwiches through the DoorDash app for pickup. The app clearly stated that the sandwiches came with chips and potato salad, which is why I chose that option instead of ordering a different special. When I arrived at the restaurant, I still had to wait in line before reaching the cashier. When I finally got to the counter, she handed me my sandwiches and then told me that I had ordered chips and potato salad but had not paid for them. I calmly explained that the app showed those items as included with the sandwich. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, she told me she needed to call the owner. She then had me step aside while she helped three other customers, leaving me waiting awkwardly off to the side. When the owner finally called her back, she spoke to him loudly (almost argumentatively) about me being there and "claiming" the sandwiches came with chips and potato salad. It was embarrassing because other customers could clearly hear what was happening. Ultimately, I was told the owner said the sandwiches did not come with those sides. At that point, I just took my sandwiches and left. The entire situation felt uncomfortable and unnecessary. If there was a mix-up with the app, that isn't the customer's fault. Good customer service would have been to honor what was displayed in the app and clarify the issue internally afterward. Instead, I left feeling frustrated and embarrassed. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.

An absolute gem in Richardson -- we'll definitely be back!…read more La Casita Bakeshop completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming, and our server Diana made the whole experience. She was knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, and so pleasant to talk to -- exactly the kind of hospitality that turns a good meal into a great one. The food itself was outstanding. We ordered the French Toast and the Birria Brisket Croque Madame, and both were incredible -- beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Croque Madame especially blew us away; it's the kind of dish you think about after you leave. The side hash rounded it all out perfectly. And then there are the pastries. We grabbed the Mango Sticky Rice Cream Puff and the Amaretto Cherry Basque Cheesecake Brownie from the Weekend Selections -- both were stunning, not just visually but in flavor. The cheesecake brownie topped with those cherry meringues looked almost too good to eat. Almost. Washed everything down with the Salted Honey Matcha and it was the perfect companion to the whole spread. Honestly, the hardest part was choosing -- the menu is so creative and well thought-out that we already have a list of things we want to try next time. And there will be a next time. La Casita has earned a regular customer. Highly, highly recommend.

Great food, but front-of-house operations and management are a total mess…read more My family and I finally visited La Casita Bakeshop over the weekend after seeing a lot of marketing for it. While the food itself was definitely good, the front-end operations were incredibly poor, and the service left a lot to be desired. The serving staff seemed completely untrained and lacked basic common sense, right down to knowing how to properly handle plates and utensils. To make matters worse, we encountered the shift manager, Jesus, on Sunday, May 24th. Not only was he arrogant, but he completely lacked Customer Service 101 skills. At one point, he told us the wait time would be an hour, yet there were four completely empty tables inside and servers were just standing around idle. He is clearly an inexperienced restaurant manager who does not know how to efficiently run a floor or manage a team. A major caution for potential guests ordering takeout: The staff has absolutely no clue how to properly pack food. They packed runny eggs into a standard cardboard box, which inevitably leaked right through the holes and made a massive mess everywhere (see attached picture). On top of that, for a bakery and coffee spot, they didn't even carry basic options like 2% or Lactaid milk. My humble suggestion to the owners is to invest some serious time and guidance into improving your front-of-house operations and management training. The kitchen is doing its part, but the front-end experience and sloppy packaging are dragging the whole establishment down.

It truly feels like you've stepped into a legit Italian market. It's packed--in a good way--but be prepared to rub elbows while you shop. If you don't have social anxiety, it's all part of the experience. We met another couple there for sandwiches, and they absolutely delivered. I had the Italian beef, which was delicious--but definitely spicy. I even asked for light peppers and it still brought some heat. So fair warning: if you're sensitive to spice, you might want to pivot to something else. My wife has been missing New Orleans, so she went with the muffaletta. Let's just say it was a much cheaper solution than flying her to the Big Easy. No gumbo on the menu, but the sandwich hit the spot. Great food, great vibe, and a true Dallas institution. We'll definitely be back.

This place absolutely ranks near the top, and honestly brings more to the table than I expected. The Cuban itself is fantastic. Perfectly pressed, packed with flavor, and everything you want when that craving hits. But what really sets it apart is the vinegar dip it comes with. I was not prepared for how good that would be. It completely elevates the sandwich and had me going back for one more dip every single bite. And then there are the plantain strips. Freshly fried, hot, crisp, and just on another level. I do not think I have ever had plantain chips like this before. Usually it is the bagged kind, which are fine, but these are something else entirely. Honestly, they are worth the trip all on their own. Do not even think about leaving without trying the pastries. I happened to get a warm cream cheese one that I cannot stop thinking about. It was one of those bites where you immediately regret not ordering more. To top it all off, the woman running the place is as kind as can be and genuinely helps guide you through the menu like you are a regular, even on your first visit. I will absolutely be back, especially because I need to try their Cuban take on a burger. If it is anything like the rest of the menu, I already know it is going to be incredible.
