I don't go to Target that often, so my experience is limited to a handful of stores with the Topsham location being my primary for some time. The staff at this location is very friendly as other Yelpers have indicated. The store is very well kept, clean and you can't walk 20 feet without seeing an employee. Their selection of products can be overwhelming and its convenient this is a location with a grocery section. Their prices are reasonable on many products including K-cups for those that need that morning coffee. There is plenty of check stands and a very convenient self-checkout section which has cloth bags for 5 cents to carry your items out with. Target is the first retailer to offer a reusable cloth bag for 5 cents. If you ask me, the marketing aspect of a cloth bag for that price is genius and I used the bag in other stores as well. I am not sure of the experience other customers had, but the bathrooms during my visit were clean and well kept. The store overall is clean which can sometimes be challenging for a store of their size. The only part I didn't like is how they setup the parking lot as it seems like a maze to get from the road to a parking spot, but I won't remove a star for a poorly laid out parking lot. I found this Target to be clean and organized. The staff were not very helpful but I was able to locate the department I was looking for. I just needed a few pair of socks. The other items we were looking for were basic and unavailable. I think too many stores are ordering only what they can make the most profit off of instead of taking care of the consumers needs. Would I stop in here again? Sure, but I would not count on this Target to have what you need. read more

The good: they always have my favorite flavor of Poppi soda in stock. Cashiers are sweet. The bad: the store is trashed! Busy weekend with graduations and prom? Perhaps. Plus size clothing department is holding steady at being the WORST of any Target I've been in. Out of stock of the plastic totes I came for. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING. Absolutely horrid and terrifying. The folks were having to what toilet paper with the one stall that had one. The floors were muddy?! Trash everywhere. On one of the busiest days of the year (Christmas Eve), I was able to pop in, pick up what I needed, and be on my way very quickly. An employee helped me with a target price match and was very easy to work with. All-around, a good experience given how busy they were. read more

First of all, when i parked my car i stayed in my car for a few minutes to work on an email. Next thing I know I've got some creepy homeless guy with snot running down his face banging on my window asking for money which totally freaked me out ! Once inside I was not impressed. The selection was quite subpar compared to other Targets. The food section aisles were strangely subdivided with spring and outdoor merchandise. Big problem with roof leaks-- ceiling tiles down and tarps and buckets everywhere... i got the feeling it's been this way for awhile ! read more

Service: not unique to Target but this ridiculous approach to having more self check out than cashiers is beyond annoying! Value=meh. Selection: as with Walmart nowadays and now Target, I feel the quality of items offered, from clothing to household goods and electronics...you're only about one to two steps above Wish or Temu. read more

I was at Target store in Augusta, ME on Saturday November 20th, 2021, I was doing some shopping there to pick up some Miami Carry ON wet wipes 100 count, because on they're website said they had some in stock at the Augusta, Maine store. When I got to the store there was "NONE" in stock at all on the shelves where they normal used to be, so, that cut my shopping there very short, and walked up to a worker and asked her if they had that item in stock maybe out back some place, and she checked on her pad and she said they did not and I said well look here I used my cellphone to look it up that their website stated it was in stock at that store and she said Oh" God yeah" I see that, then she called for a manger to come dome to help out and I said don't bother he's just going to tell me the same bull crap store politics and tell me to just ordered it online... And I am not going to stand here waiting around for him to come down either, I have Diabetic Never Damage in my toes and my feet was killing with pain!!! so I said I am leaving just have your manager order some, so next time i come here I can buy it without spending extra money on shipping & handling by ordering it online. Their stores are "Never" running or stocking items like their website claims they are!!! This is the friendliest target I've been into! There was an attendant by checkout who said hello to me and told me what checkout to go in. I was also really impressed by the attendant at the fitting room. The phone rang while I was there and she was so polite when answering, and still able to communicate with me to go into the dressing room, after kindly chatting with the woman and her family in front of me. The clothing was a bit disorganized and I was disappointed the Starbucks was closed for renovation but I'll be back! read more

Target gets five stars simply for being new, clean, uncrowded, and for having the closest Starbucks to my parents' house. The staff is generally genial and hard working. The bathrooms are pretty good too. I think we ended up spending only a couple 100 here on Black Friday (not counting two stops for coffee). read more

Well, what can I say. Target is a wonderful company in general. There has never been a time where I walked out of this store empty-handed. I love "The one spot" an area located in the front entrance area of the store, where items usually ranging from $1 - $5 are designated. This particular store keeps this area pretty well stocked. Unfortunately, the first thing I notice when I walk into this target is the overwhelming smell of... Well, vomit. I know I am not alone when I say this. I'm unsure what the cause of this stomach churning odor is. Perhaps it is the the Pizza Hut towards the front of the store? Either way, the smell is very nauseating. Overall I believe this store is very clean, and for the most part organized. One section that seems to always be unorganized is the accessories/ jewelry. They have a beautiful jewelry counter, but there is never a jewelry attendee. The jewelry is always knocked on the floor and the clearance items are mixed in with the non clearance items in the actual designated clearance area. I recently had an experience that I was actually a little disappointed in. Last week I went to target to pick up some more film for my instant camera. When I went to the isle where I had previously gotten the film I noticed that there wasn't any on the shelf. So I figured that I would look for an employee that could check and see if they had any out back in stock. So I went to the electronics service desk to look for someone that could help me. There wasn't an employee in sight, actually there wasn't an employee in that whole back row of the store. I walked from the electronics all the way down to the automotive and back, and still there wasn't a person in sight. I was actually getting a bit irritated. So I walked over to the door that led to the back room and I waited until someone came out. Finally after a few minutes a woman came out with a push cart and a digi lookup handheld. I told her how I wanted to know if there was any film out back. Looking rather irritated she asked me if I checked the electronics counter. I politely told her I had been looking for help for a while as she proceeded to take me to the counter. When we got there she looked around for another associate, and said she would have so call *insertname* so she could help me. At this point I was irritated, why couldn't this woman help me? After a few awkward minutes of silence as we waited for this woman to come to the "rescue" she finally showed up. I told her what I was looking for, she walked over to where the film would have been and scanned the barcode with her handheld and said that there wasn't any more in stock.... I WANTED TO EXPLODE. I waited 15 total minutes to find out from a woman that simply had to scan the barcode too see if there was any instax mini film in the building. I hope I looked as irritated as I felt. The customer service here is not the best. The fact that that woman would rather sit there and call someone down to do a job that she could do herself is really disappointing. I like employees that go above and beyond in service, not just doing what they have to... I go to this place for the prices and the products they offer, not their customer service.... Target as a company is five stars.... Target Augusta as a store with poor customer service is a mere 2.5 stars for me. read more

This is by far the dirtiest most disorganized under stocked Target I have ever been. I lived in DC Northern Virginia with worse populated areas and not even then have I seen a Target this messy. The ladies underwear section and the shoes sections looked like they were looted out. The Women's bathroom was filthy and smelly. They had one wheelchair cart available for use and their isles do not accommodate the chair in most areas! I was at the baby section checking out baby gadgets, high chairs etc. wrong items in wrong sections prices posted for different items than what's being displayed or no prices posted at all. Such a frustrating experience. To add insult to the injury there were so many employees just standing around. Anyways, I felt exhausted from shopping at this store. As I was leaving I wanted to get someone's attention and feedback I spoke to a guy who looked like a manager (walkie talkie clipped on his belt and chatting with the other employees like he had nothing else to do) I told him about my experience. He listened with an expression I couldn't tell if was a smirk or smile and said "ok, sorry". No concern or heightened sense that he was going to escalate my feedback to someone. I just felt like they don't care. The management is apparently non-existent in this place. One positive the dressing room attendant, a lady, was courteous. That's it. I'd rather stick with Bangor Target compared to this one. I walked out without purchasing the few items I had in my cart and I don't think I'd be back here. read more

This Target has a hard time managing it's Starbucks. Staff always on break or lunch at the busiest times resulting in long line. Don't expect a quick coffee! read more

Target is better than Kmart Walmart and any other Mart I have ever been to. I can always find what I need at a price I can live with and for that I will give them a good review. If there's anything specific you need I would look online first at their website then going to the store to see if its on the shelf. read more

Target Stores have donated to a free summer camp for Maine children for many years: Camp POSTCARD. The folks at the Augusta Store are especially enthusiastic about helping local people. They sent volunteers to Camp POSTCARD this year to help cook meals for the 170+ 5th and 6th grade campers. Volunteers of America is very grateful to the kind people at Target Stores, in Augusta and in the other Target Stores in Maine (and Greenland, N.H). read more

Clean, new and almost perfect. Starbucks being there amazing, pizza hut too ok. But them not having the grocery part that Walmart has on the other side of Augusta loses that last star. Especially where there is room to expand. read more

For the most part this target is pretty good. I stopped for Starbucks when I first came in and though. they were severely understaffed but they did the best they could do and I didn't have to wait too long. When I was walking through the store I would notice there was one lady that was talking pretty rudely to a younger co-worker and that co-worker was visibly upset, that made me slightly uncomfortable that they would correct somone on the floor like that. Other than that little situation the rest of the employees were very nice, and the cashiers were wonderful. Also the store was very clean and mostly organized. Mosty friendly staff and very helpful. Cashiers greeted me and offered help. Almost every employee on the sales floor greeted me with a smile. Only had a problem with one employee being rude to not only myself, but her coworkers as well. When asked for help, she snapped at someone else to help me.
