One of the bigger targets in the area. Not my usual target. Seems nice and well stocked, but what really bothered me was the attitude the man working at the electronics register had. He was super annoyed about price matching an item to not only the target website, but another target store. There was a significant discrepancy in price between the two stores. I imagine this is s result of them jacking up prices to cater to the wealthy visitors of westfield Topanga The only reason I drove the extra hour out to Topanga was for the one single item that was out of stock at my target. I previously gave a 5 star review to this place, however, after my experience on Friday evening, I won't be back at this location again. First off the store was filthy and in disarray. Merchandise all over the aisles. And at checkout, the were only two open lines that were backed up 5-6 customers each, complete with a heated a race between Targets' slowest cashiers in full effect. Perhaps they were training for a position at a city, county, or some other government job? And did any of the walkie talkie toting minions bother to call additional cashiers to help with the lines? Nope, and even when those of us in line asked, they gave a blank stare and smile. Or they just smile and point to the self checkout which was bogged down 5 deep with people as well. I had gone to a different target and asked for an original receipt because I lost mine and they were more than willing to print one for me. The only problem was I had not purchased there so I had to go to the Westfield Topanga Target to get my receipt. At around 5:10pm 5/23/19 I went to the customer service bar at Westfield Topanga and asked for an original receipt. The young woman told me she would asked her manager and that as long as I had my card, knew the total, and when it was purchased they could do it. A very grumpy, older woman with glasses came up to me with a frown on her face and asked me if I remember the register I purchased it at. Of course I didn't, because it was purchased over two weeks ago. She then got sassy with me about how she wouldn't be able to find it without knowing the register and the credit card and then blew me off. And that isn't true, because the other target I went to tried to find it and never asked for the register number. After that, I was about to leave I had just forgotten my bag on their counter and I heard her talking shit about me to the other customer service lady. "She wanted me to find her receipt without the register number. Of course I would need the register number". Never going back to that target. read more

It's 11:40 pm and the line is almost out the door because there is one person on the register. The excuse from Management is the " holidays ". According to the manager people are on break so no one else is available. In the meantime workers are all through the isles. Poor management of staffing and schedules. read more

Love this target they have everything at this store. From food to clothes and even they have Starbucks downstairs. They are open late which it's very convenient. read more

I like this location. The staff are pretty nice. They are really helpful! The store could be cleaner but I also understand they can't stay on top of that ALL the time because there are more customers who leave their trash everywhere than employees who clean up after them. It's not their fault really, but seeing trash everywhere WAS a little disappointing. read more

I like the way this target is set up. The store to me makes sense. Love that it is right in the mall, makes it easy. Always my complaint with this location is staff. Checking out is a nightmare bc there's only two staff members got 30 people. And heaven forbid you ask where an item is... they won't show you. .. they like to point and say " over there"... awesome. I have social and I'd with another bank Visa cards. Simply denied by the clerk to help. I have to leave the stuff. Went Walmart to purchase the stuff from there happy. Great location, its basically at the mall! Went in for a quick snack on my lunch break, everything was so easy to find and organized. I did have a incident where I accidently bumped into a person and he was very angry to the point of trying to get physical even though I apologized. Luckily a security guard by the name of Antonio saw the whole thing and helped defuse the situation by clearing up the accident. So on top of easy convenient shopping they apparently have security guards as well which definitely makes it feel safe. Thanks alot Antonio! read more

So completely frustrated. I went here on a Sunday morning. They just recently put in four self service stands but still have 5 regular registers. The problem...nobody was manning the regular registers. I like the self service stands when I have one or two items. But to not have the option to go to a register, is very frustrating. So they are saving money on cashiers, but guess what, everything still costs the exact same amount. Plus, the self service area is very crowded, especially when you have a few carts in there. read more

As usual, this store hits the target square on when you need something! Loved how it was two stories tall and has a parking garage not far from the entrance. It was very organized throughout the store. They had tons of staffing (the most I have ever seen at any Target store). They don't use plastic bags, but recycled and they charge 10 cents per bag. So tip: bring your own. Their pricing is as every other Target store in the USA. I also loved how they had a Target cafe and Starbucks inside. Only thing that caused this store to get a three star is that the bathroom was utterly appalling. Trash was thrown across the whole floor, the toilets and sinks were spotted with unknown substance. In the corner, all on the floor and on the side of the wall going up to the ceiling, there was old, pink residue. Another lady was in the facility and looked at me and then the wall and finally commented on the filth. Needed major cleaning. read more

The good I really like how big this store is. There are elevators and escalators that take ya to the second floor. And walking around looking at the merchandise is an enjoyable experience. Anyone that knows me worth a crap knows I have a burgeoning obsession with home decor. Given that it's taking me for-e-ver to save up enough to get out with any security or back up, I have managed to accumulate many goods. They usually have items in stock, it's kept well cleaned and organized, and the people who work here are actually really friendly and helpful-like holding my stuff for me the time I had forgotten to put my wallet back in my purse and not making me feel like a total ass for it. But what really made me happy, in that 'it's the small things that count' sort of way was that last night a couple of buddies and I somehow ended up here, and I discovered the new DwellStudio line was out. Yippeee! This is probably the best Target I have ever been to! It's huge and spacious (no tight aisles), has a great selection, and is attached to the fun and giant Topanga Plaza mall. I was shocked to see all the items I've been missing out on at my local ghetto Target in Culver City (sorry, but that's the best way to describe it). No empty shelves, lots of new items, plenty of markdowns, clean, and friendly. I think the shopping cart escalator is neat too! I mostly went in for the Pharmacy today, and that department is large, with more than just 3 employees working in it! So if you happen to be in the area and need some essential or not-so-essential items, stop by! read more

This is one of my favorite Targets. I shop here all the time. They have an enormous selection and great prices. Best part - it's open until 11pm! This one is 2 stories with escalator and elevator access. The upper level has groceries and frozen foods! Great place to shop for lunch if you work at the mall! read more

This Target kinda suuuucks. I only come here when I'm in the mall & have to get something real quick, however today my daughter wanted to try something on and as it turns out I needed someone to open the dressing room door, but there was no one in sight. The store was empty of customers AND employees. It took FOREVER to find someone to come over and open the darn door so that my kid could try something on. Very frustrating. I also asked 2 other young kids (cashiers) if the store had something else that I wanted but they were too lazy to check to see if it was in stock. Seriously Target?! Why would I pay $25 for a cheap picture frame or $20 for a small rug mat made of man-made materials - Rude unhelpful staff: No one wants to help you. Why would they? I came to print pictures in guest services for my daughters first kindergarten project and I had connection issues printing until "Elioana" walked over to me with a very bright and bubbly attitude and very professional. She took complete control of my issue. Elioana went above and beyond to make sure that I walked out with a smile. My home Target is actually on Ventura but Elioana has left a mark on me I will never forget and may just always come back here. In regards to the food cafe/court I was quoted 5-7 min for my pizza, I ended up waiting over 15 minutes while the clerk talked away with her friends and coworkers. She as well helped one of the customers immediately by giving them their food while my food was just sitting there, only until I came up to get my food the clerk acted like she forgot. I could understand if I was in a restaurant but for a mini pizza almost 20 min? Never coming here again. read more

I came to use a gift card I received over the holidays and after waiting in the long lines the cashier swiped my gift card, then accidentally voided it, attempted to re-ring up everything, and then re swipe the gift card... And behold! It didn't work. After literally 9 more failed attempts at re-running the transaction- doing the same thing over and over again, the cashier sent me to guest services with no receipt. She closed her lane and left for break. The line for guest services was extremely long and I couldn't leave even if I wanted to because my gift card had been wiped out with no proof. When I finally spoke with someone, they had to call for help. They had the nerve to ask me if I had another way to pay- extremely insulting- because that's not the point! Had I not had a gift card to begin with, I would have made my purchases somewhere else. The first person had no clue what to do and a second manager was called. Sean or Shaun or however you spell it FINALLY finds his way in and then takes an additional 25 minutes to go attempt to figure out who screwed up and print some record of what happened. By this time, I had been in the store almost 2 hours and was late for work. When they finally figured out that indeed the cashier screwed up and that the card should "probably" just take 24 hours to credit bAck the amount, I left with no valid card, and no purchases. Just a piece of paper with the voided transaction. As the head of the store, this guys best response was to come back in 24 hours and try again. For a mistake on Target and its incompetent employees part, I should have been issued a new gift card or credited for my transactions but I left with nothing to show for patiently waiting. It was a complete waste of time and extremely unprofessional. Needless to say, what can you expect from a new holiday hire. I expect more from a large company such as target. Thanks team! read more
