The people in the store are extremely nice and helpful. The problem is they much on technology when it comes to . You to make any comments or ask any questions. Then you call the store and fight the AI program. We spent $3,500 on a vibrating bed that has wooden legs that vibrated through the floor so that apartment below complained. This is a defect from the bed company. They should've put rubber pads on the legs. Instead, I had to go to order my own rubber pads and place them under the bed. They did not center the the bed on a wall that has 24 inches on each side. I don't understand why they don't have a tape measure. They showed up to deliver a stand a month late. They could have corrected the at this but they didn't. I called the showroom again and it was too late. Then they brought another nightstand two weeks later and also did not center the bed. The manager had full knowledge of what they needed to do when they came out at the same time. I was even nice to say Do It when you come out for the next one. I do not enjoy calling a foreign country that does not understand English properly. Three times I said I wanted the bed centered and they talked about returns and sending a tech guy out to evaluate the situation. I asked for a supervisor. I'm giving this a two- star review because the associate who initially helped me was pleasant and professional; however, my experience was overshadowed by the manager's extremely rude behavior. First off, my sales person was great. However, the sectional couch I bought was apparently rung up wrong so the extended warranty I paid for was only on one section of the couch. I've spoken with customer service and they will not correct the issue. Furthermore I can't return it. The delivery was a mess, the wrong pieces were delivered and rejected the first time and I received multiple calls from different people to get it right. All of them said that the correct pieces would arrive in two weeks. However, one week later, I got a text that said my delivery person was bringing the couch. I didn't get a time frame, just that supposedly it was coming and correct. I was suspicious since I had been told it was two weeks. It did arrive and it was correct. The delivery and assembly guys were great too. Then I got the warranty info and discovered it was completely wrong, that's when I tried to get it corrected. Their hold music is distorted noise, I believe it's to make you hang up, but I kept at it and after holding for an hour, they said there was nothing they could do. I bought my mother a recliner from Ashley WITH A $200 WARRANTY, within 4 months the chair would no longer recline (motor/switch?). Now I am in 'FIX IT HELL' with them. We are going on TWO MONTHS of repair hassles and still the chair is not fixed. First tech misdiagnosed, said it was the motor when it was the switch. You would think Ashley would then expedite shipping of the switch being we waited a whole month with the motor, but NOPE. Here we are going on Month Two and still the switch hasn't even shipped. I could literally buy a switch on Amazon and have it delivered in one to two days, but Ashley cares more about postage and getting the cheapest switch than fixing the chair in a timely manner. This company is Penny Wise Pound Foolish. Probably that is why they get bad reviews. My mother IS IN ASSISTED LIVING she has to have her feet elevated. Now she has to lay in bed most of the day to keep her feet elevated on pillows, because her chair stopped working in 4 months and Ashley cannot get it repaired going on two months. In store experience was fine. Russell, the sales person, was knowledgeable and attentive. Delivery set up was easy. Day of delivery, notifications on arrival time was contradictory. When delivery did arrive all they wanted to do was rush through the process. Little care with how items were being brought in. Delivery people lacked English proficiency, difficulties communicating basic words. Box spring came damaged and trying to understand our options was a challenge. Lead delivery person could not clearly articulate what needed to be done and how he was going to notify the store so it wouldn't become an issue after they left. He had an attitude about it and bothered that a customer was bothered at the fact that the product they paid for came damaged. Got a really bad heat mark on my dining room table a few weeks ago and my extended warranty with Reguard really came in handy! Called Ashley to schedule me with a tech. Morgan arrived within the timeframe they gave me and got to working right away! In less than 30 minutes he fixed my table and looks good as new. He blended the colors so well that unless you're at kissing distance with the table nobody would be the wiser that it was ever damaged at one point. Morgan really paid attention to the variation in color and all the grain on the wood. Extra satisfied that I didn't end up held hostage at my house when the tech goes past the given ETA. I will start by saying that my salesperson, Juan, could not have been more pleasant or helpful. Kudos to him. The furniture is of good quality. BUT, when my furniture was delivered, the headboard to the bed I purchased was the wrong style. I told my sales associate I wanted a flat panel headboard, not a sleigh style headboard. The guys who delivered the bedroom set (also very nice!) told me to call Ashley back in 3 days to correct the issue. I did so. After navigating the web of AI bots, I was unable to reach the store, but always was routed, eventually, to humans who "ASSURED" me that they could help me resolve the issue, and they took reports, telling me that I would receive a call back in 48 hours (1st guy) or 48 to 72 hours (2nd guy). No one ever called me back. After a week, I managed to reach the actual store in Canoga Park on a Saturday afternoon. Previous attempts to do so during evening hours had failed. The sales associate, Yessenia, was very polite and assured me that the salesperson (my friend Juan) confirmed to her that my order was incorrectly written up in the store and that the headboard could be switched out. Yessenia sounds like she has it together, so we shall see. Conclusion. Ashley--and all other large companies--need to get rid of the AI answering machines. I, and everyone else I bet, am tired of shouting "human" into the phone, or being told what to say to the computer to be routed to the right department. And no one likes being assured by the AI bots' human assistants that they have "opened a dispute" and that "someone" will call me back, and have that turn out to be a lie. Twice. Really. We have better things to do. Summary: 5 stars for the actual humans who are not the servants of the AI bots. 0 stars for the AI bots and their human underlings, who read lies off a script. read more

When we reached out, the Ashley representative came to inspect and, instead of offering a solution, made an offensive and discriminatory remark--saying that "certain races use oils for hair and body" and that caused the discoloration. They then refused to honor the warranty. What makes this worse is that we own other leather couches at a similar price point from different brands and have never experienced such an issue--clearly pointing to a quality problem with Ashley's products, not with us as customers. I ended up going there and the store associates told me to come back the day after to talk to the store supervisor, Nelson Cruz. He was such a huge help. He made a couple of phone calls and stayed patiently online with the Ashley customer service line to look into my issue. He asked for a few days and next time when I went there he made a follow up call and was able to fully address my issue. He did not make it difficult and did not ask me thousand of questions. He investigated the case through their portal and came back to me with a result. I am so happy to know that if I have a furniture purchase, I can go to Canoga branch and make my purchase through Nelson's team. We however had a very pleasant experience and the employee we were working with was a very nice and patient. Deliveries were delayed because of the pandemic, but ultimately we are very happy with the purchases we made there. We bought a couch and a sofa, and they even cut us a really great deal. Right now, I am only going to review Ashley's customer service. I bought a couch. I took out the warranty. I called them because the couch needed to be cleaned. He came into my house with an attitude to begin with and laziness and when we took off the cushions of the couch, he said he couldn't fix anything because it was mold on the couch on the bottom where the pillows are I said there's no mold there. It's just dirt. He's like oh no oh no, I have to talk to my supervisor Meanwhile, when he was out talking to his supervisor, I vacuumed the couch and I cleaned it was open water. There was no mold. When he came back to my door, he said he cannot do anything for me. I said come in and let me show you the couch. There is no mold. I cleaned it. He would not even come in to look at the couch. That is not good customer service he was a horrible technician. One drawer to the dresser does not fully open and renders it unusable. They have the WORST customer service! Did you know they don't take back any returns? I found this out as I was paying and the credit card was rung. I tried to cancel the order within seconds after the credit card had been rung and they said it was too late. I told them I did not want the item if there was no return policy in case it did not work. I tried to cancel the order by email and phone. The customer service is in another country. They said they cancelled it and yet I still got the art pieces and they still charged my card. Then I had to drive them back to the store because they would not let me ship them back.
