Why?!?!? Why are there only 2 registers open?! Every time I come to this Target, there's not enough employees to ring up customers. I'm talking about 2 registers upstairs and 2 registers downstairs... With freakin' long lines. You'd think that because it's attached to a BUSY mall, there would be many registers available. I came here to buy formula and some other food items and I was over charged by $50 dollars. The manager Vicky and the new cashier were not helpful at all and accused me of not listening to their claim that I was actually charged less. I bought about $100 worth of goods and the manager stated that I should of been charged more about $170. This was later determined incorrect by another manager at the West Hills store, Andres. I was charged $10 for a carton of Horizon milk that was listed as 4.99 on the shelf. Then I was charged a deposit fee of $20 dollars with the item listed as $10 for two deposit fees. CRVs are no more than 8 to 10 cents. In addition, I purchased two Enfamil formula boxes that were on promotion. The promotion listed that I would get a $10 coupon if I buy two. Instead I was charged for two Promo cards a total of $20. Vicky and the cashier NEVER apologized for their error and were very condescending during the resolution process. I called the corporate line and filed a complaint and will be filing a complaint with CA consumer agency. Just be beware and check your receipt carefully as the manager there cannot comprehend Target's own receipt and pos system. Vicky is the worst manger I ever dealt with and to top it off, she cannot do basic math. I told her that this was worst customer service experience I had ever. Terrible customer service. I was on the second floor with a cart full of items and they had no check out available except self checkout. I was told one was open downstairs. So I had to go downstairs. I spoke with the manager Oscar who told me they have no choice because of "payroll"??? Seriously the prices are still higher then they should be and as a customer since I'm paying I should have that convenience of at least one open register upstairs. UnfortunAtely Target cares more about the bottom line, I.e "payroll" minimum wage bs then repeat business. No wonder they suck. My husband and I came in from a terrible customer service experience at one of targets competitors and we were soo extremely pleased with Maria. We came in for a GoPro and she greeted us right away and walked is to the GoPro area. She was very attentive and informed us of any accessories we may need. Customer service is terrible. It seems like they never want to help. Even when asked for help, they reply with "i think it's over there" or when i last made a return with a cash purchase, they persisted in giving me a hard time. they have at least 8 cash registers upstairs and downstairs, but every time i have shopped here, i'm always waiting in long lines because they only open up one or two registers. No one smiles here. i don't know if the employees were trained or not, but being a little considerate on or off the job doesn't hurt at all. When i'm at the mall, i always try to avoid this target, even when i need something from it, i always prefer the one on ventura or fallbrook. The starbucks and pizza hut area is always filthy. Theres almost always nobody working there. People just go up to the pizza hut and grab the drinks and pizzas just sitting there out in the open. I was left in the middle of the topanga mall with a locked cart full of heavy stuff. I called guests relations, where I picked up the items from online purchase, and the lady there told me to hold the car up in the front and take all the way to the other side where my car was parked, when I said but it's heavy she said that's all I could do because no one could come to help me, I asked to talk to the manager, she said she was the sub-manager, when I asked her name she hung up on me. Unbelievable!!!!! I hold the car up, having an anxiety attack took back all the way to the store and talked to the downstairs manager, he asked the security guy to wait for me to bring my car to the front of the store, when I came, no one there! I had to wait another 20min to find parking, until I finally got in store and my cart was sitting with the cashier. Unbelievable! Just left my neighborhood target and I must say I am disappointed in the service I received today. It's about 9am and it states target opens at 8am. I was ready to check out and there were no open registers. When I saw an associate by the self check out I asked her if there was any registers open and she pointed towards the self check out registers and told me that's all they have. I informed her that I did not want to self check out and she said repeated what she initially said. I asked to speak with a manager(Valeria)in customer service. yet she lacked empathy and made it seem like she "just worked here". She didn't greet me warmly, I don't even think she said good morning. I asked her what was the reason for them not having any registers open after an hour of them opening and she just simply said "I don't have any control over that, they just told me to do that" I asked her if she was the only manager around and she said "for the front end yes" she was very one worded and seemed like she didn't want to help me. I had two transactions. After my first she just slammed the register and said "have a great day" with an attitude. I told her I had another transaction and she just seemed very annoyed so I asked her " what's up with the hostility" and she just replied" what are you talking about". There was another associate there who got bothered by my question towards her and kept saying " what is he talking about you weren't rude" "she's not rude". I really didn't want to get into it with him so I simply stood quiet. I just feel like he had no right to speak to me when I was supposedly already dealing with a manager. Where did the customer service go? Why were there no registers open? Why are your managers 19 yet they have no experience? Why when dealing with managers do nosy employees feel the need to give their two cents? I am so disappointed with target! read more

Customer service is terrible at this store. I purchased curling iron and was told by the sales person that if I don't like it, I can bring it back. When I did, however, they told me they don't accept used merchandise. Now, how would I know if it works if I wouldn't try it? I asked for a manager and she said the same. They didn't even want to give me store credit. When I asked what am I supposed to do, she said "give it away". What kind of advise is that for a customer that is trying to return merchandise? I was here tonight at 6:30. I have never been in a filthier department store. The floors were sticky from some large spill around the escalators. This must have happened hours ago because it was tracked throughout by shoes and carts. It was a disgusting filthy store. I needed to use the ladies restroom on the first floor. It has 3 stalls. First stall had been previously used and toilet would not flush so it was disgusting. Second stall the seat was covered in feces. Third (handicap) stall the door was locked so you could not use it. The cleaning checklist on the wall showed it had not been cleaned in three days. I did notify the manager. But for this to have happened in the first place clearly the manager was not doing his job. read more

I placed an order last night for buy online and pick up in store, that was canceled last night cause the store did not have it. I was there this morning and they had the items but I couldn't buy it cause I have a wondering 2 year old I had to chase after. So I placed the order again. Over 2 hours later I came to pick it up cause we needed it and it still wasn't processed. Employees say that its target.com and when I called customer service, target.com said it was the store that it was waiting on to pack the items. In the end I ended up buying them a 3rd time, cause I needed it. Now my card has been charged 3x! Ugh horrible customer service! And the item were still there yet they couldn't even just pack the items for me! Instead i had to take my pregnant self, walk down stairs l,grab the items and pay a 3rd time! When I called customer service they only gave me a $15 GC, which was suppose to be rewarded to me when I purchase over $75, originally part of the deal of my purchase and did not compensate me for my wasted time, effort and the inconvenience. They all lie! Overall this whole company deserves 0 stars. They have no customer service! I'm taking my money to Walmart! read more

This review is for Starbucks inside of the Target food court. Everytime I go to this Starbucks location it is under staff. I feel terrible for the employees. They looked stressed, they are taking orders and making them too. Did I mention one employee at a time? Not only once have I seen only one employee but multiple times. Today was one of them it was 10:15AM and only one employee. The line was long over 8 ppl in line. She tried her best and kept smiling throughout. Unfortunately when my son tasted his drink it tasted weird. I tasted too and couldn't figure out what was wrong with the Vanilla Bean frap. I walked back to the Starbucks and told the girl that it tasted weird and if she could just make it an ice tea. She looked at the gallon of milk and it had today's expiration date. Yep his drink was made with spoiled milk. Yuck!!!! She apologized and made a new drink. When I looked over the counter I noticed she hadn't had time to stock sandwiches, pastries and were laying out. I think they need more staff to insure the food quality and food safety. I will be calling corporate but I will inform them how nice and patience the girl was and how they need to have more workers per shift. read more

Target is Target. They all carry the same shiz, they all have the same layout and for the most part, they are all awesome. The inspiration behind this review was the customer service/returns department at this Target. There are two younger guys in particular that have made my stops here memorable, in a bad way. One of them has very personal conversations with his "team members" while he's "helping you". On my last visit, he literally looked up at me said "What's up?" and proceeded to have a full blown conversation with his buddy on the other side of the counter about something funny that happened at break. REALLY? The most recent time was a heavier-set youngish guy who never made eye contact with me, addressed me or smiled for the entire transaction, except when I reminded him that he hadn't returned my credit card, for which he apologized and offered a half smile. I get that this is a part time gig for college students for the most part, but that's no excuse for embarrassingly poor service and incredibly juvenile behavior....YOU ARE AT WORK PEOPLE, not in high school PE class. read more

I agree with one the previous reviewer. This Target locating in the mall in a nice city. However, almost everytime I need to purchase baby items such as burp cloths, baby towels, bibs, boys undies, tanks, etc..... the items was not available even though it shows items are available online at this Target. The item seems to restock very slow at this Target to the point I don't really shop here anymore because I am not confident if the items will be there after driving there. We rather drive a little further away from home to the other Target because we know they have the items all the time. One time my husband drove to this Target late at night to buy baby bottles for our newborn and it wasn't available so he had to go all the way to the next closest Target in Woodland Hills to buy it. Terrible management for not seeing items are restocking too slow in the store. It could be under staff or very unorganized. I heard they have a new store manager at least 2 months ago but the last time I was there last week, the baby section still looks empty. I am not sure how the District manager don't see this store is going down because customers are not finding what they need most of the time. read more

It was a normal target and didn't really surprise me until I saw a large section of gluten free products. My friend got what she wanted at a low price but we went down the shoe aisle and it was very messy. I know it's not the workers fault for getting so messy that's all on the customers and thankfully there was a worker taking care of it but there really wasn't anyone else in those aisles to it should have been clean or at least she should have gotten someone else to help her out. The lines were a little long but thankfully they had someone monitoring the lines and self check out lanes who helped to speed things along. Unfortunately the self checkout kept delaying us for unexpected items even though we only put what she scanned in first. Overall it was just okay and I could have made gotten a better experience at Walmart. read more

Went in one recent weekday morning right when the store opened. The parking lot was littered with shopping carts...and the day hadn't yet begun! Upon entering the store there were many, many employees busy blocking the aisles whilst stocking shelves in several departments. How does this help sales during store hours? Not one of these employees asked me if I needed help, said good morning, or acknowledged me at all. I definitely felt UNWELCOME. At one point there were two employees huddled together next to the elevator - one of them dispensing pills from a bottle into the open palm of the other. Really? Right out there on the selling floor? You rude people don't have a stockroom or a break room for that? The ONLY employee who spoke with me and, in fact, assisted me in the nicest way was the lady overseeing the self-checkout. I didn't get her name but she was a petite brunette in a wheelchair. I used to like the food prices and the 5% discount for using the store card, but I won't be back anytime soon. read more

If there were no stars for customer service this Target would get it! I purchased about 10 items. Running the cart up and down the automated system because the employees didn't know where anything was. All I wanted to do was get home and find out that the new cashier Kylie left out 4 of my items. I contacted the manager who I think was Maria and asked her if I had the receipt could I go to a Target closer to my home and get the four items. I was shocked when she said no. I asked being it was their fault could I get the items shipped, again it was a no. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT STORE. What an ordeal and horrible customer service. The parking is also stressful and I could not understand after seeing that she left out the items why she wouldn't come after me and state that she left the packages out of my order. This is a very big store compared to the average Target. It is one of those 2 story ones. They have a good selection for most things, and have Target prices and Target hours, which I like. But I prefer other Targets. Cons: 1) Parking is always bad at this Target, because of its location in the mall. You have to go around and around and end up parking far away, even if you go to the second floor to park under the blazing sun. Much faster to go to the other 2 Targets in the area. 2) They have a very inconvenient and unusual return policy if you want to return more than a handful of items. One time I was in a hurry and bought 12 different pairs of swim suit to try at home, and when I tried to return the 11 that I did not want with the receipt in hand, I was told YOU NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO MAKE RETURNS. They told me that it was because returning multiple items would hold up the returns line. (What pissed me off was that the lady behind me said she did not mind waiting- without me asking, and the staff member said that HE would mind, and said that she could ask for a manager if she didn't believe that it is store policy. Wouldn't that hold up the line more?) I do not know of any other store with this policy. I called corporate, and they told me that it is not a corporate policy, but that stores are allowed to make their own policies. I checked with the other Targets in the area and they did not have this policy. Then, I called this Target back to make an appointment and they were trying to tell me that I need to come in the morning, meaning 10 AM, on a week day. You want me to drop my job and come just to return things? At that point I asked for a manager so I could make an appointment for the afternoon. Ridiculous. 3) Despite a very large Jewish community in the area, they have rarely any Hanukkah items. The drug stores in the area have a better selection. We wanted to buy something for a school fundraiser and the holiday performance and couldn't find anything. How could a store this big in such a Jew-rich area not have a lick of Hanukkah stuff? Isles and isles of Christmas stuff and neutral Winter stuff, and nothing that says Hanukkah on it or has that star or a menorah or draidel on it. We had to go to Party City and Drug stores to find stuff. 4) The shoe department at this store sucks, despite it's size. They organize it by shoe, rather than by size, so you see a shoe you like and can't find it in your size. Also, you have to check every box, because people don't put the shoe back in the right box. So you end up spending a whole lot of time looking for a shoe and find every shoe and size except for the one you want. 5) There is always long lines to check out. So even more time wasted. 6) There is a carosel right next to the store with loud music. So if you take your kids, they will beg to go on the damn thing. So either spend the additional 5 bucks for 2 minutes of entertainment, or say no and have them moan and complain that they had to be good the whole time you were shopping at this giant store and they never get to have any fun. Bottom line, I don't go to this Target unless I am already at the mall for a different store and have to look for parking anyway, I don't take my kids, I skip the shoe department, and I do not buy anything that I might need to return. read more
