The store was clean and everything was in order. The check out process was fast and easy. We were greeted immediately and there was no line. Urban Outfitters are all pretty much the same. They offer the same type of clothing and other items. This being said, if you like the style they offer this is a good shop to buy it at. This Urban Outfitters is located at the exterior section of Del Amo Mall. Thus, it is easy to get to as you can either walk your way through the mall or you can park in the rear, outside parking lot, and walk directly to the store. This is a large store full of all the items you would expect. One of the things about this store that I find nice is that the stuff pretty much leaves you alone. If you need some help, of course, they're gonna give it to you, but other than that, you're free to shop unbothered. Overall, if you're looking for what Urban Outfitters offers, this is a great place to get it in the South Bay. read more

I'm giving Urban Outfitters, or at least this location the "A-OKAY" rating. It seems they're focusing more on the clothing for the tween to teen to millennial hipster generation of disposable fashion, more timely trendy than H&M with the same type of quality and genres. I liked Urban Outfitters in past years (it's been a while since I revisited the store here and now in 2017) when they had a whole lot more of novelty gift items, which I felt were some really rare or unique opportunities to buy specialty "perfect gift" for certain occasions or with specific niche themes. It wasn't the common stuff you'd see at places like Spencer Gifts, Aahs, or Hot Topic, but really eye catching merchandise. I had a frustrating experience at this location regarding an online pickup order. I ordered these sunglasses online that I went to go pick up. I ordered them almost a week ago. I never received a confirmation to pick it up but the email regarding the order said it would be ready within 24 hours. I went and the line was not long but moved very slowly. The cashiers looked like they were taking their time and even when they were done with a customer they just lolled around the register area for a bit before calling the next customer. I showed them my order and they did not have the item. The cashier asked another store employee to go look for the item. They asked me to stand to the side and wait. I waited around 20 minutes for the sunglasses. They gave it to me and when I got home I noticed they had a bit of dried nail polish on the lens. I already scraped it off before I could take a picture, otherwise I'd post it here. What gets me is that they weren't even busy and they took a pair of sunglasses that had a noticeable amount of dried nail polish on it and didn't even bother to clean it up or anything before handing it to me. Please do work on your online pickup system. I was expecting a quick and easy pickup but it just made me wish I had ordered it to another location. Your employees do really need to care more about the job. read more

Went here the other day. Was drinking a coffee from the coffee place across the way. I had my mask off. Person working there told me to put my mask on or I'd have to leave. So I went outside and finished my coffee. Put my mask on and went back in. Wasn't a big deal, didn't care. But then when i went back in, there were 3 people walking around inside the store without masks on. Maybe you should just pay someone to sit at the door and remind everyone to wear a mask and not single people out rudely. This is NOT a review about covid. Went in there to kill time during my 1-hour long wait for Outback Steakhouse (see my non-enthusiastic review). I usually go into UO not to buy anything in particular, but just to look at all the trinkets n trash they have there. Found some great stuff around the counter. If you have friends who are freaks about LEDs, go buy some of the LED keychains they have there for $4. They have ducks that quacks, pigs that oink and monkeys that...I dunno what they do...go "oo oo, ah ah!" So I picked up a few of these, but the best part was...drum roll...a box of FLAIR for $1.90! That's right, for under $2, I got a box of flair with all the quotable quotes from Office Space. Originally priced at $8.95. Best purchase of the week. You know you're so jealous. Agree that service sucks. I was there at like 8 and the line with one cashier was 10 deep, and not moving very fast. So this girl opens up on the opposite side and so my friend tells me to go over there. The girl asks me if I came from the line on the other side and I said yes. Then my friend comes over after I give him the okay, and she asks him the same thing. Then after we were done paying and there's a couple of guys behind us, she asks them the same thing. Who cares if they were from the other side or not? It's not like she announced that she was open and told them to come on over? And what if I wasn't from the other line, she was going to make me go back over to that side and wait? Stupid. If it weren't for the great box of flair and my LED animals, I would've given this place 1 star. read more

I asked one of the associates that if they had something in stock because on their online app it says that they had it available and they said that they couldn't help me because its just in a box somewhere in the back so I just feel that they weren't cooperative and wanted to help me. I probably would shop at Urban Outfitters more if their stuff wasn't so expensive. Even though their clothes and accessories are cute, I make sure to pay attention to the quality of the products before I buy. Some things here are so cheaply made and are NOT worth the hefty price tag! The store itself is pretty organized. I love looking at the outfits they put on the mannequins because it gives me ideas of outfits that I never thought would actually look good together. I usually make a beeline for their sale/clearance section, but never leave with anything good. Its always picked-over and only skimpy tank tops or gaudy shirts are left. Even though the STORE is organized, the check-out section is not. The employees take turns directing (or should I say, shouting at) customers into some sort of "line" that weaves ridiculously around their registers with no sort of order. Seriously, take five minutes to put some duct tape on the floor or put out a rope to show where the designated line should be, instead of confusing and frustrating people attempting to make purchases.... So, more often than not, I skip this place when I'm out shopping. read more

Awesome place for stocking stuffers. Although I have to admit their stuff isn't as great as it was a couple years ago. They use to have better sales...their product's a bit pricey when it comes to retail price. I spend most of my time on their gadgets, books, and apartment items. They sell men's and women's clothing and shoes but not my style, a bit too hippie for me. Sign up for their mailing list. They have great deals online from time to time with free shipping. The previous reviews are no good. I worked at Urban Outfitters for 2 years and there are some things you should know: 1. They tell the employees to be indifferent. It is not required to help anyone unless they ask. When they ask, you should show interest, but otherwise, you should be taking care of the store (a huge responsibility because they pack them full of stuff and shoplifters are such a problem). 2. All Urban Outfitters are open late, typically until 10, that is not strange. 3. There is a very elaborate security and cashier system so the lines do get long (blame the company, not the employees). Please give the people a break. Urban pays pretty well and gives good benefits, but they do demand a lot of their employees; there is a lot to juggle and they do have high standards. The people who work there are not lazy; lazy people do not last long with this company. All of that being said, this Urban is a bit disorganized. The merchandising is wacked. The space is smaller than most other U.O.s but the merchandiser needs to work that out. It is cramped, the housewares section (my old section) is horribly kept. Also, there is quite a surly client base for this location. On a Saturday night at 9pm there are a lot, a lot, a lot of bored teenagers. I saw some 14 year olds screaming at each other in the front entrance. This is hard to deal with when you are trying to maintain a store. I left with mixed feelings about this location. Great sale stuff (not all Urbans have this much sale). I bought a rug, a tapestry, a clock, and a huge mirror for $85 (after tax). There is just bad organization and a bad clientèle that makes it a bit uncomfortable. I bet it is a great place on a weekday during school hours. read more

Over the last few years I've been to this location and other locations one too many times to remember. All of them have a quirky-artsy vibe, so it's a different scene for a change. This specific location always has helpful staff and great finds. If you're ever looking for something edgy and trendy give any Urban Outfitters a visit. You'll also find some basic-wear, so the options vary. Just don't forget to take a look at the sale section because you'll find good things for cheap, and their store wide sales can get pretty good sometimes. read more

Chris was super helpful in finding my adidas pink nubucks, even though he wasn't sure if it was in stock but he went to the back several times to double check as well as checking with his other associates. It was a new item. There was another associate in the beginning (I asked to see if they had in stock) that probably just assumed they didn't have it in or receive it and said that they haven't received it yet. The store was not busy at all on a Sunday. Chris went out of his way to go back to the stockroom and check with his other associates. I have a love/hate relationship with Urban Outfitters. I get overly excited and giddy when I see some of their new merchandise. I utterly love some of their stuff. That's when the hate kicks in. I hate the fact that this stuff is now being sold at Urban -- only to be popularized and thrown to the waste side in two months by uber-hipster punk ass kids. I screamed like a 14 year old girl when I first saw Lomo cameras at Urban. I no longer had to pay S&H to buy them from the official website, I could pick them up at my local mall! Sure enough, a couple weeks later, they became "hip" -- ugh. Same goes for my Kidrobot Dunny's. Urban, stop stealing and exploiting the things I keep close to my heart. read more

The store doesn't have as much as the store in Santa Monica but they do have some basics that are pretty good. Check out the sale rack for deals. I think it's generally well known that the service isn't very good here. I always need to ask if I need help. They do greet you when you come in though. The clothing is not arranged very logically. It's is all over the place. One thing I wish they'd do is put all the pants in one area, all the jackets hanging up in one area, etc... One must spent an inordinate amount of time browsing to find items. read more

My daughter loves urban outfitters and so do I. I don't necessarily purchase things for myself there, but at least while my daughter is shopping I can find so many cute things to look at like the décor, brose through their vinyl, or check out the camera's cases and accessories. The staff at this location was very helpful to me, I was looking for a few specific items and they were back ordered on the website so I thought I would just try the store since I was in the mall anyway. sadly they did not have what I wanted in stock, but they called several other stores to see if they had the items. They offered to order and have them shipped to me but I passed as they confirmed that the items were back ordered till February. The sore was clean and organized, I was there at Christmas and the lines were long, but the staff took care of every customer is a courteous and efficient manner getting us all through the line as quick and painlessly as possible. read more

Overall, I like Urban Outfitters. I feel like you can get a lot of really good deals here, but only on certain items. I've gotten a belt and a couple of shirts that were really good deals. The problem is, I always see really cool t-shirts and then see that they're $28 (which is too much for me to spend on a shirt). It's also always really fun to flip through the interesting books and see what kind of cameras (you can get most of that stuff cheaper at Samy's) or other Tchotchkies they've got. It's a good place to waste time if you've arrived too early for the movie theater next door. Also, it's relatively close to the parking lot, which is a plus. read more

I have never had luck at the Urban Outfitters in my hood (Pasadena), so I decided to check out the one close to my work. They carry Levi's and my days of spending a ton of cash on designer denim are long gone...get me a pair of 514's and I am a happy camper. The only problem is I can NEVER find my size at any Urban Outfitters, call me lanky or lurpy, the fact remains that good pants are hard to find. Well, I decided to walk in to this store because they were having a sale, all denim $39, what a deal. The only problem is as usual, they did not have my size. As I pondered buying high waters the associate let me know that they do carry that size and that if I was willing to wait they could order them for me at the register and have them shipped to my house for free (at the sale price)...HOW FRICKIN COOL IS THAT! I can't remember the guys name that helped me but I am very appreciative of the customer service at this location. I was very close to walking over to the Levis store and buying similar jeans for twice the price but thankfully the associate did his job. Urban Outfitters as a whole is not my favorite store but then again, I am not their target customer. I think they nail it for the 16 to mid 20's consumer. Happy hunting. read more

She was soooo nice, brought the manager for extra assistance and he as well was very helpful and nice as well. The store was busy, so I was surprised at how nice the two staff members were as usually everyone's in a rush and very short with people. I've been to a few Urban Outfitters throughout SoCal, but I really like this location because it is very SPACIOUS! There really isn't much clutter in this store because there is so much room. The racks aren't so piled with clothes that you can't move hangers to find your size. In addition, I really love that this UO has a big apartment/housewares section (side note: if you're ever in Costa Mesa, that location also has a wide selection of housewares, too.) The attendants here are very nice, too. I haven't really encountered a pretentious employee here yet, so that's a big plus! Unlike other viewers, I haven't had much luck in the clothing sale section. I find it hard to maneuver because the rows are pushed real close together, and a lot of items are put really high up and out of reach. I don't even want to know what it's like during holiday sales! But, the housewares sale section is great and spacious. read more

For some reason I always come in here looking for shoes or beanies. And it always fail. They either have a shoe that I like on display, but not in my size. Or I'll pre-shop online and find something and come here and hope they have it and they usually don't. But for jeans and everything else, they have a good assortment of items for both males and females. I would probably suggest coming here on a weekday, maybe Monday or Tuesday to beat the not so well parking and to see the store actually clean and untouched. The staff is usually nice and very helpful on getting your things or at least suggesting what might go with what your looking for.
