Shopping in Torrance, California... We had some time before dinner, so we took a look around Marshalls. I visited the usual departments: shoes, accessories, personal care, and seasonal items. I didn't find any Easter clearance items, but I didn't see LA Dodgers caps... hmmm... tempting, but I didn't get any. The Hello Kitty items were calling, but I escaped quickly! I also like to look at the red tag items... they have marked down prices. There was nothing I really needed... thank goodness! We'll probably be back! read more

The reason I stopped shopping at most Marshall's store is that they never have enough cashiers. They need to do better management needs to make sure they have enough cashiers especially on the weekends read more

"I had a deeply concerning experience at the Marshalls on 19800 Hawthorne Blvd (near 190th St) on June 13, 2026, at approximately 4:00 PM. A cashier, I believe her name is Shelle, misled me into applying for a Marshalls credit card without my consent. Under the guise of 'updating my personal information' in their system, she asked for my Social Security number and California driver's license. She even entered a random income amount into the computer without my knowledge or permission. When I realized I had been signed up for a TJX Rewards credit card, I immediately demanded that the process be terminated. Rather than assisting, the cashier simply pointed to a phone number on the receipt and told me I had to handle the cancellation myself. I insisted on canceling the application on the spot and escalated the matter to the store manager to file a formal complaint. I am sharing this to warn others to be very cautious at this location. This practice is deceptive and unacceptable." read more

This place is stock full of a LOT of crap--yet they don't sell a pair of scissors in their crafting or stationery section. A lot of makeup, kitchen gadgets, seasonal decorations, and not one pair of scissors. Whoever is purchasing their inventory need to order some necessities--not just decor and other unnecessary landfill waste. We are in an ERA where we will always have an employee following you around NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE. Makes you NOT want to come back, I get the trauma retail is having right now, but y'all are also making honest shoppers uncomfortable as of they are being treated as criminals. Get your sh@# together Marshalls. Be discreet, don't be breathing down customers neck. Definitely wont be shopping at any other Marshalls, thought this one would be a little different, it was worse, something in there stinks, there is a foul odor throughout the whole store. There isn't much to say that's bad about this location. The employees are nice and they stay pretty organized. I come here before searching for what i need at another store because 10/10 times this place will have it for more than half off. My only note here is that they tend to put the flavor syrups (for coffee) on mid/high shelves and the shelves look like they're bending forward from the weight. This place need to control these crazy re-sellers that bully people so that they won't come back . I was there for a hello kitty throw and I walked to the back of the store and asked a worker if they had any hello kitty throws and one of the re-sellers boyfriends says to me we where here first we're getting them so I stood there didn't say a word back then the worker comes out and one of the other re-sellers snatches the blankets out of the workers hand then passed them out to the other 2 re-sellers and doesn't give me one that employee should have never allowed that . read more

These stores, Marshalls, TJ Max, in both Torrance locations, must have a policy of ignoring customers at check out. Doesn't matter how long the line is, they always have more important things to do, besides being a cashier. If they can't keep up with the returns that pile up they should have one person doing the clean up instead of ignoring paying customers! read more

There is a worker there named Daisy who is hiding all Hello Kitty items especially the blankets. She's discriminating against us and it's not right. We ask her if there's anything and she says no. To put this to the test we sent someone in there to ask Daisy and Daisy gave her two hello kitty blankets. Daisy, your responsibility is to put items on the floor for the customers to purchase. Not for you to hold and hand them out at your discretion. This is way above your pay grade! Stop discriminating against us! I will be contacting corporate regarding this situation! Good selection of items, really slow cashiers. When you see a lot of people waiting, please ask for back up. Most people just want to buy things and then leave. Perhaps the company should consider a self check out service for people who know what they want, literally just want to pay, and leave. read more

Picked up my serviced car at the dealership nearby when Hubbers and I realized we needed some kind of caddy for the bathroom. Since we were close enough, we made the easy trek. We only realized it was black Friday when we pulled into the parking lot and dreaded what could be a forever wait for a parking spot. Surprisingly, there were plenty of spots open. We found one, luckily, just right across the way. We were also surprised it wasn't as crowded as we anticipated. We found the caddy... as well as too many bargain buys. We got out of there with more than we planned to buy, but all worth it. For a crazy weekend, the whole place was clean and organized. The cashiers were efficient and swift. (Sadly, the caddy didn't fit where I wanted to place it, so I will be making another visit to make an exchange.) Pretty darn good experience for a black Friday. read more

[Review #214] Marshalls is a multi-purpose store where I get the unexpected... When I first moved into my house, after the major purchases, I was low on funds for the little things. Marshalls filled that gap with great finds... a DK bathroom accessories set (ceramic trash can, toothbrush holder, & cup), bathroom rug & bath towels (with similar colors of the accessories even though they're not the same brand), beach-themed pictures; quality kitchenware such as a bamboo cutting board, nestled mixing bowls, kitchen towels, baking pans. Fast-forward 10 years later, I got tired of paying top $ for kids shoes & my daughter just started walking; they cost almost as much as mine & I'm bargain hunting. :-O Marshalls comes to the rescue, & almost all her shoes are found here... from running-jumping shoes (aka tennis shoes) to fancy sandals (for the dressy attires/events) to Crocs (the plain & simple to fancy ones), ranging from $10-$20, usually 40% + savings over other stores. I'm a bit disappointed that the kids section/selection has significantly decreased the past couple of years. =( Now that she's 7 & wearing kid sizes, it's been harder to find a decent pair of shoes in her size. I'm even having a hard time finding toddler shoes for her little brother; I would have had an easier time 5 years ago. Even its sister location on Carson St. in Del Amo Mall, which is a larger store, has cut back on kids shoes. Nowadays, I'm on the hunt for athletic wear or kids books. Once in awhile, I may find unique discounted toys such as remote control cars/trucks, or STEM-building toys. On my last trip, I found some sturdy books for my toddler. Marshalls has been my go-to for holiday gifts the last couple of years; I got great deals on bedding, kitchenware, food novelties, etc. One of the many stores in Torrance Promenade, Marshalls is situated on the north side near HomeGoods & Aki-Home. There's plenty of parking even on weekends. :-) Depending the season or time of day, shelves & racks may be disorganized or restocking is needed. Marshalls may not compare in terms of prestige to some department stores (for all you label ho's), but you can find those expensive brands here for a whole lot less. Have fun hunting! read more

They're not even shopping around. They're just waiting there for the employees to bring out more Hello kitty things. This is getting out of hand. And DAISY who works in the stockroom doesn't push out any hello Kitty items but pushes out hello kitty things when people that have some type of relationship/ friendship with her, ask her for them. read more

Located in a strip mall between OSH and Home Goods. It's usually hit or miss at Marshalls, but today I found a couple of Michael Kors clothing items, and Lab Series for Men moisturizer for $17.99 which normally retails for $50. Parking in the lot can be challenging since there's also a Walmart in this mall. There's usually spots near the OSH side of the lot. read more

I stopped at this Marshall's today and picked up on clearance toys. I made my way to the register and Veronica began scanning my stuff. She grabbed a toy then walked over to another worker. The lady came back and told me the toy was regular price. No problem. Then she scans an outfit that was regular price and then walks back over to the worker, so I walked over and asked what was the issue. Why would she check a regular tagged item. Then tells me oh, the other worker is going to give me the outfit for $16.99. Like really? Yes you will give me the outfit for the regular price as it's marked. This Veronica lady is racist, she definitely did not question any other items with any other customers. Looking at the workers, all of them were of the same race. Marshall's do better with hiring people of all different races because this is not it! People need to stop assuming and messing with people because some people are about business and lucky for me I was in a pleasant mood. read more

This is one of my favorite stores and one of 4 "discount" stores I like to go to first before I hit the malls or more "upscale" stores. That is because there can be hidden gems and true bargains here of some of the same brands and / or quality found elsewhere for multiples of the price. So as I see it, it's unwise to NOT come here first, especially for household items like bedding, towels, decorative items, handbags, brandname socks, suitcases and the like. As with all of these types of stores, inventory varies a lot from day to day -- sometimes you find a lot, sometimes there's just nothing good, but it's always a good idea to come here first to browse. This Marshalls was a little crazy for me and maybe I just went at a bad time. The parking lot was hectic, inside the store hectic, but we did come here a week before Christmas. This store was a little less organized to most that I've been to. We had to do some digging to try and find what we wanted. We were looking for some mantle stocking hangers and some dog toys. I tried to find an employee to help me but they were all busy trying to restock the shelves. After some looking around I was surprisingly unsuccessful. As far as dog toys they didn't have as big of a section as others but we were able to find some zippy paws that we needed. I would say that this is an average store, you should be able to find what you need, but I think I would go to a different one that's not in such a busy plaza. read more

This used to be my "go to" Marhalls. They are constantly changing their merchandise. I never know where to find things. The shoe section has moved to a new location in the store. They moved the housewares to its old location. The good thing is that the housewares section has been greatly cleaned up, as a result. The Big and Tall section shrinks and moves all the time. It doesn't get too busy in here, which is good. read more

Pretty decent Marshalls, especially if you're looking for hair care items. I found some very good deals on expensive shampoo and conditioner. They have a really good clearance section also in most departments. I didn't see a lot of clothes I liked, but great makeup, hair, and other grooming products. read more

This is my neighborhood Marshalls store. I come here often, and have never had a problem. Tonight, however, I had a rather bad experience. I saw a chair that I purchased two weeks ago had gone on super-duper sale. It went from $129 to $33. I had the original receipt with me and asked the manager Barry P. to please give me a price adjustment. Long story short, he would absolutely not give me a price adjustment. He claimed that was a policy that was "frowned upon" and he refused. His response had nothing to do with policy, it was completely feelings based.... I ended up buying the chair for $33 and now I have to go home, load the chair in my car and take it back to the store for a return.... what a pain! If I had to guess, this is not standard practice for Marshalls and I just had the misfortune of dealing with a manager who didn't have the smarts enough to make that transaction happen. read more

I really like the challenge of finding something you really like for a fraction of the cost. They have many brands that I love. Their sportswear is great too. As for shoes- sometimes they carry the ultra high end. I have even gotten Pradas for under $100. Lamb, Uggs, coach,.. Excellent deals on sheets and bedding as well but u hoots be careful to chose well as they mix cheap quality as well. read more

Like some posters stated, selection is hit or miss. I appreciate the cleanliness and this location is better stocked than some off-price retailers. However, I was there this morning and experienced something I hadn't witnessed in a while in a TJX store. The teflon-hard pitch to apply for a credit card. I have a degree in merchandising and pushy staff is part of the reason why online sales stay booming. If a person declines, don't force the issue, just thank them for their business. Imelda Marcos had 1060 pairs of shoes. I don't. So, when a friend called that Marshall's was having a shoe sale, off I went. The weather is changing and I am looking forward to dressing for fall (Yes, I'm crazy; yes, I know this is Los Angeles). Remember when there used to be a regular price, a sale price and then a clearance price? Marshall's doesn't believe in sales, everything that's on sale is called clearance now, but this weekend they offer an additional 25% discount on clearance items through Sunday. So, I go to the shoes clearance area, full of shoe racks, separated by size: size 6 - check, size 7 - check, size 8 - check, size 9 - check. Size 10 - what the hell?.. Discrimination!!! There is no clearance stand with size 10 shoes! Turns out it's hidden around the corner, behind some tarps, behind a construction area. Phew! 3 pairs of brand-name pumps - 75 bucks. Original non-Marshall's price - about $270.00 or more. Recession shopping - priceless. (It really isn't, I just always wanted to say this) There's also a fairly large selection of "clearance" clothing for men and women, additional 25% off, now through Sunday. read more

This is a great place to get cheaper prices on name brand goods. I go here for high quality name brand cooking items. Candles here are so cheap! And I love that I can buy tons of Nike running socks for very cheap. They also have a good sized selection of luggage, headphones, and other electronic goodies. Also a huge selection of cheap makeup, soaps, hand lotions, and little sets/packages that make great little gifts. I buy my name brand hand soaps there...you can usually get 60% off discounts. Awesome selection of household items...the only drawback is that it's sometimes disorganized and there are so many items and depending on the supply don't expect to see the same brands month after month, but that's part of the fun...like a treasure hunt! read more

Before I discovered this Marshall's, I was enamored with the one in Seal Beach. I bought a pair of oh-so-splendid Charles David knee high boots for only $70. Those Jessica Simpson handbags I've been eyeing at Macy's that cost $108 are $40 here. Betsy Johnson clutches for under $30, gorgeous dresses for work or play, and an extensive perfume collection all are just some of the perks of this store. Things I expect at Marshalls: long lines, 2 registers open, unhappy employees, and messes. Only 2 of those happened at this one. The employees were very nice and helpful. I went straight to the dress section (I was on a mission) and was asked if I needed help from a very friendly worker who was busily organizing the dresses. they had a great selection and I found the dress of my dreams! When I go to this Marshall's I always have to go next door to Loehmann's and Ross to make sure I am getting the best dress for the best price. I went to Ross and it made my head hurt, Loehmann's looked nice but I didn't see anything comparable to the one at Marshall's. So I returned to Marshall's to try the dress on in two colors. I was flying solo so I asked the girl in the dressing room for advice and she was very nice, even laughed at my dumb joke. The woman in the Loehmann's dressing room definitely wouldn't have. I saw some hot shoes too, but since the dress was a bit pricier than I wanted to spend I quickly walked towards the registers. Of course there was a line 20 long, and 3 registers open, which quickly became 2 when one woman walked away and then temporarily became 1 when there was an issue with a customer at one of the registers. Eventually they get the other register open and the customer moved along, back to 3, still not fast enough. I get up there, all excited about my pretty blue dress (and a size smaller than my normal size, yay for my workout classes) and the woman was very friendly. All in all, I like their staff and selection, but expect lines as usual. read more

Between Ross, Loehmann's, and Marshall's at this shopping center...I seem to have the best luck here to find great deals on clothing and shoes. The store has a pretty good assortment of goods, and items are normally where they are supposed to be (versus go backs being tossed in shelves and never put away). The store is kept clean as well, so you don't feel like you are shopping in a discount dump! Bonus! The fitting rooms are not cramped, and the people who work at this location are usually pretty friendly too. :) read more

Shop here all the time. Purchased a bed cover and when I got home noticed all kinds of spots on it. Lost my receipt. When I came to return the item they tried to say I used it. I mean really with Covid. You think I would use a bed cover and bring back to the store. Management sucks here! Don't go here if you think you're going to get great service.. read more

Tried to return a pair of shoes that I tried on in the store and they wouldn't let me because they said they were worn...I'm sorry I like to wear the shoes around the store before I buy them. If the bottom looks dirty clean the floors better. Can't tell how a shoe is till you walk in them. Then the lady told me to go to another marshals because she didn't believe me. She should try walking around the store in white socks and see what shit ends up on her socks. read more
