Hiring process was so unprofessional. Was kept waiting for over 20 minutes, interview went well, was told to come back for 2nd interview. Arrived for 2nd interview met with a manager name Chris . He had no clue that I had already met with someone and he proceeded to tell me that position was already filled on the day I went in for my first interview. In the interview it was stress to me how much Target value their customers, I guess the don't value a potential employee. Will never shop there again. read more

was walking around with my 13 year old niece when we noticed someone following us. The security guard made us feel so uncomfortable and it scared my niece to have a grown ass man following us around the whole store. we went to the checkout line and there he was once again watching us. AFTER we paid we were stopped so they can check our things. We felt extremely uncomfortable and felt like he was following us because we were both females instead of looking for actual people shoplifting. It was creepy and we both did not feel safe I talked to the manager and she apologize but i feel some action needs to be taken towards that man read more

Awful customer service and they do not enforce their mask policy when inside. I saw an employee helping a family of four that had their masks down (3 around their chins) - the employee said nothing. The manager there stated that he cannot control how his employees enforce the policies ... hmmm. That's a really unaccountable statement for a manager to make. read more

I have frequently gone here at night the last 3 years to wander around, and get some "me time," after a long day as a stay-at-home mom to two young kids; It's my calming place. And over the last couple months they've done a complete remodel of the store, and they've made it even more of a magical place. Everything is beautiful, spacious, and organized. The makeup section looks as fancy as an Ulta store. All of the clothes sections have much more convenient layouts. Also, the new fitting room is one of the fanciest fitting rooms I've seen in my whole life. AND IT HAS A NURSING ROOM & A FAMILY FITTING ROOM. If these things somehow weren't enough to solidify this place as a favorite of moms like me, DON'T FRET- they also have STARBUCKS now, and I found out this week that I can use my REDcard debit card there too so I can get the 5% off my coffee every time!! I am a lifetime Crystal Lake resident, with a lot of extended family in this area, and we all agree that this place is amazing. The employees are great; they are kind and helpful, and they do their absolute best to help you in whatever way they can. read more

Everyone I go to the Target on 14 in Crystal lake the resturant is closed. It said it closes at 5 put it was only 2. There is never enough registers open either. It is sad to say it is going down hill. I rather go to a different Target. read more

If you go to this target make sure you save your receipt. I purchased three jumpers 12-month size the cost with 799 each. I needed to exchange them a week later for an 18 months they were also 799 each should not have had any problem. Without the receipt the woman told me I could give 799 back for both of the jumpers but the third jumper I could only get 2.59 back. She stated that they do have to restock them so they were going to charge me $5 stocking fee. I've never heard of this before especially at Target next time I will donate the clothes. read more

My family and I visited the target on northwest highway in crystal lake Illinois today and what a great experience! My sister and mother were in town for my sisters baby shower, and she received a lot of large gifts they could not bring back on the plane. Kirsten was at the customer service desk and she was so helpful and funny and overall made our exchanging and repurchasing experience so easy! Even with some technical difficulties, she stayed calm and was smiling and laughing the whole time. I've literally just walked out of the store and am still in the parking lot. There is a major restocking of the store going in and you better get out of the way when employees are pulling those carts!! The ONLY thing the cashier said to me during our transaction was my total amount. Even then he mumbled and I had to ask him to repeat himself. No "hello". No "thank you". I live in Crystal Lake and I haven't been to this store in about a year. This visit reminded my why. read more

Their staff is not very educated on coupons. They limit your coupons and quantities of items you are buying. Today I had to wait for 10 mins for them to figure out if I could purchase 8 of the same items. I wasn't using any coupons. I do not have these problems at other target locations. read more

Sometimes I feel that while I'm walking through this store that I'm the only customer there... Does anyone else feel this way? Anyways, I sort of enjoy that feeling because their competitor, Walmart, often feels crowded and I like my space. I usually go here for their women's clothes, as they are decently priced and are quite stylish. As for anything else, I feel that this store is great for home decor. If you want to return an item, it is quite a fast process and the employees are very nice. There is a food court at the entrance of the store, but it mostly smells of popcorn and I don't need a snack to browse through their merchandise. Buyer beware, some items sold here you can find at other stores for cheaper! Know the competition because sometimes you do not get good deals! read more

We shop here frequently and usually have a good experience. Today I happened upon some clearance patio furniture that I decided to purchase. I found an associate, Chuck, who helped me bring the merchandise up front, check me out, and load it into the car. He was very polite and is an asset to the Crystal Lake store. Not my favorite location. The staff is unfriendly at check out and one woman snapped at me while I was checking out. I never got her name but she seemed peeved at a coworker because she couldn't take her break yet. Very disturbing. All I wanted was a price check but she took it offensively ... The store seems pretty messy and lots of items are always out of stock. You're better off in Algonquin where it's much friendlier. read more

This experience was one of the most difficult situations that could have been rectified so easily. I bought a loaf of Market Pantry white bread and to my dismay it had live and dead flies in it. When returning it to the Crystal Lake Target which is 20 minutes out of my way I was sadly disappointed. All they did was acknowledge that there were flies and they could see them and return the $1.38 to my Target card in which I had the receipt. I asked for a name brand bread and they told me I'd have to pay for the difference which was not right. I then asked for cash so I could purchase bread at a different grocery store which was also denied. They also told me there would be no further compensation for my troubles and this incident or the fact I had to drive 20 minutes out of my way to try and rectify this situation. I usually don't buy groceries from Target because I don't live in Crystal Lake but I was with my Mom and she lives there so I happened to pick up a few items. I will not be doing business with Target in the future. I hope this doesn't happen to anybody else and that Target steps up there game when it comes to special circumstances like these. read more

Target advertises coke products on sale. I went there 3 times and they had very few items. I could not even buy a case of diet coke. they told me that they are at the mercy of coke, who only delivers once a week. I also called the Algonquin store and they have no product either, blaming it on coke. You would think that if they are going to advertise a product that they would have plenty, or even some in stock. I was also buying other items, but bought them at another store, rather than purchasing them from target. They should not be allowed to advertise a sale product when they don't have adequate or any stock. read more

Store manager not properly trained. Has absolutely no customer service skills. Was harassed multiple times while trying to clear up issues with corporate office on return policy. She was highly offensive and spoke down to me everytime she addressed me. After clearing up matter with corporate, i was told what a horrible person i was for reporting her to corporate. The sad thing is that i was only returning a few items i had just purchased. Nothing more. But in order for me to do this i was going to have to wait a day come back ect. She needs alot of training and real life experience. If in the area avoid this store as you are likely to run into the same treatment. read more

We are sort of new to the area and it was our first day shopping at the Target Store in Crystal Lake so we did not know are way around the store and every clerk we asked was more then willing to point us in the right direction to the various depts. or take us there themselves. We had one problem at the cash register that they took care of, We were buying with a gift certificate and one of the numbers were scratched off. They diligently worked the cashier and a manager to try to figure out the number and when they could not do that they called the main office and after about ten minutes and closing down the aisle for us they were able to get the main office to issue you a replacement card which they were able tp punch in and our gift certificate was good to go then, They did this all with a good nature and complimented us on being very patient when I thanked them. Our experience we got most of the stuff on our list we were shopping for and only did not care for two or three things with their merchandise that we did not purchase, I would defiantly give the employees a ten read more

Store manager needs to be drug tested. I have no idea why trying to return item to the store involves getting yelled at multiple time by store manager. Was cussed out told i need god and maybe he could grant me peace. Like thats what i need when im the calm one. Just wanted to return a few items i had just purchased. It took over an hour and 3 seperate calls to corporate. They havent bothered to get back to me. Store desperately needs some one capable in charge. You know someone with actual real life experience. I am done with Target! Too many rules with the return policy! Too many times I have tried to return merchandise and been unable to. At no other retailer is it this difficult to make a return! I received a gift for Christmas from Targets' Nieman Marcus line and didn't like how I looked in it. The store would not take the item back with a receipt. Wouldn't even give an in store credit. Also at the time of purchase the item cost $90.00. When I went to return it the value was $23.00! Talk about stealing from the public. The person who gave me the gift is very upset too and will not be shopping at Target either. read more
