It was such a nice vibe inside. Hate when nice restaurants have TVs tho. (They have a 15 minute grace period btw) Our waiter, Jordaee, was awesome! He was so attentive to what we needed and took our orders quickly. He did a great job explaining the menu. Now the food -- so so good!!!! The spicy edamame has this sauce that's so good!! The blue fin roll was so so good & the king ora! GET THE GARLIC NOODLES & YAKI UDON! Get it! Don't skip! (Get the tenderloin in the yaki We were all having a great time. Here's my only qualm: We were there for a birthday and we paid for the dessert..... I totally thought it would be comped or something. We would have skipped the cake if we knew tbh. That was our only skip of the meal. Also, the manager or owner (idk) his name is Mo! He was so kind! Came to us when he saw we were done eating because he thought we didn't like the food. We were just waiting for boxes, don't worry Mo! We loved the food! Come here, but beware you'll spend money. But it's good!

They have a menu shortage so we all shared menus which not a big deal, but was strange and made sense why it took so long to get menus after seating. We all ordered cocktails which were very good. We all ordered a bunch of apps as well, the sushi was delicious, the spicy tuna crispy rice was also a favorite. We all ordered entrees which ended up being lack luster. The Asian pepper steak came out cold, which they did remake. The steak used seem to be trimmings of the steaks. It was very tough and fatty. If I have on piece of advice DO NOT ORDER THE TABLE SIDE FRIED RICE. It came out after we were already half way done with our meals, and it's literally on a chilis fajita skillet. They charge $36 and the portion size was maybe 1.5 cups of rice. (See picture, no one had taken any off of the plate) They dump raw egg on it that doesn't fully cook with the skillet, and the sauce on top was so gross. Overall would stop in for some drinks /apps / sushi. But would not get an entree.

The service was attentive and our server was both personable and knowledgeable, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything we ordered was well-seasoned and well prepared. The standout dish was easily the lamb shoulder appetizer, extremely tender and perfectly paired with the creamy hummus. Hands down, the best lamb shoulder I've had to date. The half chicken was also very good, tasting fresh off the grill, and paired nicely with the light, fluffy rice and grilled asparagus. The ambiance deserves a mention as well. The space feels modern and classy with romantic undertones, while still being warm and inviting. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience, and I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I like that the booths are kind of private with the party you are with. For starters we had the pulled lamb shoulder hummus. The lamb was well seasoned and so tender the hummus was great but the combination was amazing. The mini gyros were really good too. They should make them as an entree with a bigger portion. They were so much flavor in the two bites I had since we split them in half. The branzino was good I have had better and the sides that it came with were a little on the small side it was Swiss chard and there was suppose to be romesco in it but I didn't see any and just a few pieces of fingerling potatoes. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and came sliced already the sides were plentiful and flavorful. The lamb chops were very small and not a lot of pieces and didn't really come with any sides. For dessert we split the Citrus Cheesecake and Trilece Cake. The cheesecake was very creamy and light the citrus taste was very pronounced and so fresh there wasn't any kind of artificial taste to it at all. The cake was delicious the cream on top was light and fluffy, cake was soft and moist, the sauce at the bottom gave it that extra touch that made it one of the best things I ate that night.

The "Detroit street food" carryout counter is located inside of a gas station on Clark & Vernor in Southwest Detroit. There is signage outside, on the Clark Street side of the building. Inside the gas station, there is a sign for another food business. I thought that I was at the wrong location, but went outside and called the phone number listed on Instagram. The gentleman that answered the number, which turned out to be the gas station phone number, assured me that I was at the right place. I went back in, snapped few pics, and ordered. I wanted to try something exciting, but I wasn't sure what to get. I settled on a shrimp tempura taco and crunchy crab legs. My order totaled just shy of $30. The fried crab legs reminded me of mozzarella sticks. I only took a few bites. The snack seemed to be imitation krab. It came with seasoned fries and three different dipping sauces. It's a really kool snack item, but I don't think I'd order it again. The taco was more to my liking. It's essentially a deconstructed sushi roll. The tempura shrimp, sauces and cucumber sit on a bed of sushi rice on top of a fried wonton wrapper. It looked super cool and was very tasty. The dish was topped with crunchies. The menu is small and kitschy with fusion-style snacks. My carryout bag was packed with care and included a few Andes chocolate mints. I'll support the owner again trying other items and will share it with others.

Detroit pop shop does popsicles right!…read more That would be my hope since that's what they're all about but now after finally trying one, I can attest to it. Their popsicles bring regular store bought popsicles to shame. I don't think I can ever go back now. We had an employee celebration at work this past week since Henry Ford Health System was celebrating their centennial and Detroit pop shop was there handing out free popsicles. Yeah! Normally they're $3. They had a sugar free one available but I opted for the one with sugar. I believe it was blueberry raspberry and it was delicious! It was super flavorful, not overly sweet, and perfect for a hot summer night out. They are smaller than your average popsicle which is a bummer. However, you can tell they're quality. I will definitely keep an eye out for them next time I'm at Eastern Market or I might have to stop by Parker Street Market (great little market that sells only Michigan made food/drinks!) in the West Village to try some of their other flavors.
