I haven't been here in awhile. This is in a large strip mall with tons of parking. It's one of the main businesses here . This store is pretty big and has a large grocery section. It's usually pretty busy most of the time and tonight was no different. I was looking for milk tonight and they have the brand we use here at a decent price. I usually check out the cereal isle since they have the newest stuff here but sometimes the prices are better at Walmart for cereal at least. I like coming here for the travel items. They have a good selection of small toiletries for travel. The place was pretty clean and organized. The shopping cart I got was clean to. The toy section isn't bad either with a large selection of Legos. Always nice to browse and see the new items. In the back corner of the store is the seasonal area where items change to the different holidays or events. Now is Valentine's day stuff. I think there are so many retail places in Elk Grove that you have to know where to get the best deals. This is just one of them. They have to keep up with all the others in our town. read more

I come here because it's in a great location, they are always in stock, and it's in a great plaza with other amazing stores that I go to (Five, below, Ulta, Michael's, bath and body works, Victoria Secret, DSW and so much more)! Service is great, especially when I order items for pick up. There is plenty of parking although the lot does get packed. Be prepared for a busy parking especially on the weekends! read more

Visited Target to use a gift card I received for Christmas. Meandered around the store. Couldn't find what I was looking for, the items had been moved, kept searching and found it. Purchased two pair of exercise pants and a birthday card. Story was tidy in some areas and messy in others. Glad they've relocated the diversity and causes clothing and items to a different spot away from near entrance of the store. Exercise attire was 30% off so I saved $9 each on two items. Nice to see there's an Ulta store within Target but I really like the nearby Ulta Store. Only employees I interacted with were the two AT&T representatives who were very friendly and professional. Cashier wasn't welcoming and didn't seem to understand what I was asking or saying to her beyond basic cashier script. read more

Why does this store always look like it's going through some type of renovation? There are certain things I find a convenience of buying at this target, but honestly, the appearance of the store is always super disappointing. I noticed that all of the TVs have been taken down from the electronics area. And quite a few of the inventory locations for things were just plain empty. And why are the lines always so slow? But the one good thing is today I have no complaints about the check stance. My checker was super friendly and helpful. Watch out in this parking lot. But I think that is pretty common for most target shopping areas. Parking lot people just drive crazy. read more

This location is amazing! They have a bigger selection of most items. Their furniture section is nicer than other locations. They have a bigger doll section (Our Generation Dolls). A lot of snacks are only at this location. This location is in a big shopping center with a restaurant, wine shop, pet store, fast food places, and more. The parking lot is huge. read more

This is an average Target in a very busy shopping center. Their mobile pickup is a no after a few missteps in the past, I've had things missing or damaged plus extra long waits, so I don't do mobile orders here. If you are in person shopping there is a good selection, the customers are generally to themselves and not acting odd. As opposed to my midtown Sac adjacent hometown Target, the personal care and cleaning stuff is not under lock and key so you can just pick up your toothpaste and detergent off the shelves- novel, I know! This store has a better selection of home decor , Chip and Joanna Gaines items (Hand and Hearth??!) and upscale appliances, due to Elk Grove median income, I suspect. On the other hand, clothing is not a substantial section of the store. The pharmacy is not especially fun, as my doctor mistakenly sent a couple of prescriptions here and the wait was long and they seemed understaffed. Hence my visit to this Target after a long absence. In short, a convenient Target in the heart of Elk Grove, expect crowds and parking challenges due to the high number of shoppers. read more

Target use to be where I'd go for almost anything I needed, but I've noticed a few of the staple items I buy often aren't carried by Target anymore. But I was still able to find containers I needed for my shelves at a reasonable price. I can still rely on Target when I need household items. Don't count on much help when you need to ask for assistance. It seems staff are spread pretty thin. So I must have circled the store a couple of times. I had problems with not having my card with me, and the clerk was too busy to to assist in an alternative way to use my ap, etc, so I was able to receive excellent service and time from the manager, Sammie, to complete my purchase with my Target credit card. Her willingness to take the time and attention i received has now made it easier for me to visit Target much more often, especially to take advantage of more resealable prices. read more

It's been a while since I have been to this Target, since there is another Target closer to my house. I was out on a fun shopping spree with my sister who was treating me for my birthday. We had a great time browsing the aisles and grabbing items I thought I couldn't live with out! I ended up with some clothing, shoes, snacks, and I even got to stock up on my favorite skincare items at the mini Sephora store located within! I don't know why, but when I'm feeling down and depressed, there's something about shopping at a store such as Target, that lifts my spirits. I guess I'm my mother's daughter who was a shop-a-holic to the extreme! There are lots of departments available for your every need. Prices are usually affordable and sales are even better! From small appliances, electronics, clothing, cosmetics, housewares, cleaning supplies, household & office goods, gardening, drug & pharmacy needs or even food, this is your one stop place to shop. I also often use them for their wedding and baby registries. This Target is positioned in a large strip mall with other popular stores nearby. One of the worst Target locations I've been to. I drove 25 minutes specifically to get a refund for recalled items, and Ryan at Customer Service was completely unhelpful. Despite the items being recalled (says this on targets website and the news) he refused to process any refund and offered no reasonable solution and told me to call target guest relations. I already had done this the night before, and was told to go to a physical location to get my refund. After leaving, I called Target Guest Relations again and explained the situation. I was told that this was unacceptable and that I should have been able to receive a refund for the recalled items when I went in store. The woman I spoke with on the phone apologized for this location's wrongdoing, explained that they were not following Target corporate policies, and helped resolve the issue by providing my refund and store credit. It was still a frustrating waste of time and gas, especially considering I made the trip specifically to resolve this issue. I would recommend going to a different Target location if you need assistance. read more

It might seem weird to Yelp review a Target, but I think it is beneficial for everyone to know. My wife and I had a package delivered from our baby registry and the soap bottle inside opened up and got everywhere. My wife contacted the customer service chat and they said to just bring it to any target and they'll replace it. When we brought it to Target, they weren't sure what to do, but they said go ahead and grab the replacement items and we were gone in minutes. Thank you for the awesome customer service. read more

Target here is very inefficient. Every time I come, even if the lines are short, I wait at order pickup at least 15 minutes. It's faster to shop yourself and pay than to order for pickup. Theres no management to have shorter wait times at returns line or pick up lines read more

I have NEVER been able to get this store to answer their phone, no matter what day or time I call. Then I go to their "provide feedback" link. It hasn't worked for years. Every single time I try to chat, the response I get is that my questions is beyond their experience. I called customer service, but they refuse to say what country I am connected with. Twice I say exactly this, and they keep having me repeat. They don't even understand what I am saying when I tell them the store doesn't answer their phones. Target was once my go to department store because it was always clean and organized at every store. However as a Target credit card holder and circle membership... i have encountered multiple backlash to their new return policy with or without a receipt. Basically all return are upto Target's discretion and some item can only be returned with 14-days and worst for electronics...they won't accept refunds over any items over $100. Are you kidding me. I will STOP buying anything from Target unless necessary. I look forward one day it will be back to the days where I confidence to buy at Target again due to it's ridiculous return policy. If you're not aware then return any item immediately unless you plan to keep it after less than 14-days. Good luck to another business. read more

It was my first time at this location, I was running errands and decided to just stop by rather than going to my home location Citrus Heights. I went in to make a return. As I approach I see the customer service rep there. I greet her and smile. She says nothing. I then tell her I would like to do a return but don't have my receipt, but I have my phone number or my app if that helps. She then says "uh that's not how it works" with a very rude attitude. I made a facial expression that clearly showed how annoyed I was by her response/attitude. She then proceeds to say "if you have your app you can pull your receipt there. I then go on my app, find the receipt show her. She scans it completed my return. And said "have a nice day". Again in a rude tone. If you are unhappy with where you work then I suggest not working there rather than being rude and having an attitude with customers. Also, not sure if it changed but I to recall employees in the past being able to find my receipt history with my rewards phone number? Put her in the back to work the warehouse where she doesn't have to deal with people and get a welcoming/helpful person at customer service. read more

I went into the Target on Laguna Boulevard to pick up a small order. What an unorganized group of staffers working in the returns and pick up area. They walked with no sense of urgency, even though the lines were quite long. Each time they scanned our phone and went in the back to find it, you could hear them moving stuff around to find your item and it took awhile. No one smiles, it like they all dread their jobs. What an unpleasant experience. You get much better service and the employees are friendly at Walmart. I will try to avoid this store if at all possible. read more

I came out to the Laguna store this past Saturday and I have to admit because I love the store so much. It's never been a problem when I'm gone they always have great inventory. I love finding special deals and I will say I've always had a great experience dealing with staff. This particular visit , I went through the line to check out and was assisted by John the cashier, he was so helpful and friendly! At the end of the transaction when I went to use my app, there was a system glitch, and the manager or supervisor on duty Kehlani, and I apologize if I spilled her name wrong, was extremely helpful in assisting me with the app. She had me come to customer service so that we could use my gift card as well as my red card attached to the app. We got the issue resolved, but what most stuck out was how professional both the cashier and the supervisor were. I was truly appreciative of the great customer service, which keeps me coming back to target. read more

This location is always over crowed, and my experiences with the staff have not been very positive. On the few times I've been there they seem disinterested in helping you with questions, or pointing you in a direction of what you are looking for. Not a place that I enjoy going to, but will if I am in dire need of something while in the area. If you have time to drive 10-15 minutes to another location or different store altogether it might be worth your while. This store is not it! read more

Home, school supplies, crafts, party supplies, purses etc etc. When I can't find what I want, I order online and that resolved everything. I just went to pick up a drive up order tonight and it was literally one item and a Christmas gift. I waited for a long time to then have someone come to tell me they don't have my order. The girl was super sweet saying she tried to find a replacement item but there was not the same item. She went back to talk to her manager whose only solution was a refund me and I could go and buy it again. Mind you I bought the item when there was a special sale and I reiterated so I can't be given the same price I paid and she told me the manager said no. I looked up if another store had the item which a few did but they are either in David or El Dorado Hills (no where close). So because of the lack of organization I take a hit and have to pay more? That doesn't make any sense as a customer. Not even tried to be solution oriented to transfer the item for me but I would have to go out of my way to correct a mistake they made. 2023 Update: Customer assistance got a little better from my last review from 3 years ago but most of the time you get someone to help you they won't give you the answer you are looking for. Also some of the people who restock shelves are rude. I was trying to get an item but they wouldn't move nor give me the item I politely asked for. Also don't order anything online for pick up at this location. I've ordered a couple of items at this store last year and none of them had the bonus items or Target exclusives that were advertised. read more

Why is Target so cool now? It was already pretty cool to begin with. They've done a lot of remodeling such that the store layout is different, they have different fixtures, they got rid of the cafe and have only Starbucks with a large area for seating. The dollar spot is still at the front and they sell live plants. They also play music now, which is still kind of strange to me haha. The store is well-organized overall. Sometimes when it gets busy, things just are all over the place. I think their biggest improvement is in the clothing offerings and beauty section. They have a lot of cool clothing designs comparable to those of Madewell and other mall brands. Beauty section features more clean and green products. Overall I feel like they really know how to market and do a great job and making the store feel more upscale. Don't forget to check your Target app for deals on things throughout the store! read more

I have a medication that I haven't been able to have filled since September, due to a nationwide shortage since the beginning of COVID. Being without it seriously disrupts my life. Someone advised me that that they were generally successful in getting their daughter's scripts filled at Elk Grove Target pharmacy. After calling them up, I had my script transferred there. I got a notification that they were working on my prescription at 3:47 pm, but when it was getting close to their closing time and I still hadn't received a notification that it was ready, I decided to come in to see what was happening. On arrival, I learned that the pharmacy doesn't take GoodRx (I'm currently uninsured due to employment instability from the very thing that this treats), and I had to pay full price ($204.60 vs $30.31). Furthermore, I was told that if I switched pharmacies to get this medication, they wouldn't serve me anymore. Also, I hadn't received a notification that it was ready because they hadn't begun working on it, despite the sms that I had received hours earlier saying that they had. The pharmacist started arguing with me about why I had my script transferred there, and was denying that there was a nationwide shortage. So, since this is the only pharmacy that I'm assured generally has this prescription in stock, and since I can't try to have it transferred to another pharmacy, lest I lose the ability to have it filled here, I'm pretty much stuck paying over $200 every month - which feels like extortion, but it's critical to my daily functioning. read more

Terrible customer service. Why state you take returns if you don't? I bought a Nutra bullet blender less than a month ago and last night well blending some fruits and vegetables. It stopped working and then I could not remove it. I returned it to target this morning and they said they can'ttake it full of food. I don't know what they expect me to do with it since it was stuck on there how was I supposed to remove the food? I just left in there told him to keep it. I think this Target in Elk Grove/Laguna is one of the busiest Targets in the Sacramento area. The store is always crowded, and the parking lot is always hard to find a parking space! I have experienced more out-of-stock items in this store compared to the other Target stores in the Sacramento area. The store also seems less organized than the other Target in the area! The store looks better after the recent remodel. But the long lines and the leak of inventories still made it a less attractive Target store for me even though this is the closest Target to my home! read more

The employee by the name of Airy was so knowledgeable and kind. The holiday season is so busy. Before I met Airy that day I had asked a blonde lady first if she worked there so I could ask her about an item. She replied, "I do work here, but I'm on break- what do you need?" Puzzled by all the passive aggression I quickly carried on with my question and asked her where the tartar sauce was- to which she replied flatly: I don't know. I saw the next employee which happened to be Airy and she was so kind! She looked up the product for me and even asked if I wanted her to accompany me. I said no thank you, but I did not forget her excellent service and made a point to leave a review. I'm not the type that leaves reviews because I'm lazy and would rather trust that Karma will catch up to people. But I had to for Airy. She is great and I hope that she goes far in this company or wherever else she goes. Either way- that company will be very lucky to have an employee who is genuinely kind. read more
