This location is nice because it's close to Bay Street and other fun stores. They have a nice selection of clothes, most of the time. The employees are rude or just seem like they have no patience for their customers. There's always clothes and clothes hangers all over the floor. I've been to my fair share of targets around the bay, I even worked at the colma target (which sucked btw) but this target is amazing! it's well stocked, clean, employees are super friendly. they have a new line system where you stand in a particular line, wait for an available register to open&prompts you on the TelePrompTer. ive seen it been used at a Ross in westlake daly city. i actually like it. my bf prefers colma target, but this beats any of the other targets I've been to. definitely coming back here! read more

Hours posted outside say they close at 9 PM. But they actually close at 10 PM. It was 9:45 PM so I almost turned around and left. And a gigantic red tape blockade at front of store also made me think it was closed. To the GM: An up to date hours of operation sign would informative rather than potentially misleading. Also, 90/10 ground beef: no price marked on shelf. 85/15 ground beef: no price marked on shelf. 80/20 ground beef: no price on shelf. Vital Farms Pastured Eggs: no price on shelf. This store is a pit of hell. Its GREAT FOR STEALING. NO WORKING CAMERAS NOR SECURITY ANYWHERE, STEAL INSIDE AND BREAK IN ON THE PARKING LOT!!! My jacket was STOLEN right outside of fitting room while i was in the fitting room for 15 minutes at 11:30p.m. on Sun nite. The store was empty. my jacket is huge fluffy fake leopard fur, VERY visible and very bulky. There is a camera just above where i left my jacket! Ki Target security says he can NOT see it on camera bc no camera points at that direction.so what are cameras for? Target security has no idea where the workers are, there is nobody working around the fitting rooms anymore. Guy who is vacuuming doesnt speak english. Outdoor security says she doesnt work for Target and doesnt even know where the employee room is.she just asked me to leave and call in the morning. She was useless. I'm a bit biased against this Target due to the fact that I'm SO close to the far superior Target in Albany... This Target's parking lot is pretty much packed at ALL times (so I'm always stressed finding parking). The parking lot is pretty filthy as well. Then, when you walk in, it seems like most everything is always picked-over in the dollar bin, which is my favorite spot to make spontaneous, though I'll admit unnecessary, purchases. It's a bit disorganized as well, with merchandise frequently moved around on he shelves. Additionally, I feel like the workers are so busy at this Target, I'm unable to find them when I need to ask questions. Finally, due to the amount of people here at all times, you can imagine that the lines are always ridiculously long when you're waiting to check out.... Bottom line, I'll almost always take the time to go to the Albany Target if given the choice. read more

It's sad. A few years ago, this was our "go to" Target. Lately, we overlooked the store getting dirtier and the crappy parking. We can't overlook: * the store's armed robbery last month * the 500 person side show a couple weeks ago, or * the two people shot tonight. I can't think of a reason we'd ever go back there now. This is one of their nicer single level locations in the area, everything is arranged in an easy to navigate set up where signs always point you in the right direction of your items, but they don't always do the greatest job in stocking their shelves properly as there many open gaps and dead spots on display. They usually have a decent clearance section here after holidays, with many of their items being marked down more than 50%, but their everyday items seem to be higher priced than other than stores like Wal-Mart. read more

Alameda is Super efficient n Bayfair but Emery ville if its emergency the caller is already dead before they answer the phone. Its 1:15 and been calling for almost 10 mins. This review is for online order pickup at this location. I placed a large order for household and baby items and had a terrible in store experience. Make sure to check your orders very carefully. 1. Target employees left a razor blade loose in a plastic hamper that I purchased. It wasn't discovered until I returned home, and I am very thankful that my toddler did not get to it first. 2. They put one item that was not in my order with my bags, and one item was missing. I returned the item that I had not purchased. When I told them an item was missing they said "it's in one of the bags." They made me look through everything again while they watched before trying (and finding) my missing order. 3. All the employees I interacted with were very rude. This alone would not usually elicit a review for me, but the razor blade and missing item certainly did. read more

Sadly this is the closest Target to my house but I am now going to drive to the Albany Target as I can't take the lack of customer service anymore. There were a lot of great customer service oriented sales associates but whomever is currently doing the recent hires in the last two months is either just hiring unfriendly non-customer oriented people. Equally sad because the new renovations of the store are great. Specific Examples that can hopefully help management: 1) Black Friday Electronics Dept around 3pm: waited patiently in line for my turn as I knew it was Black Friday. I was in line to purchase a new IWatch 4 at $450. When I was next to be helped a Target employee wearing a red shirt goes up to the next available cashier (that I was suppose to go to) and purchases some batteries and or a charger. The cashier gladly helps her fellow associate even though it's obvious there is a designated Black Friday line that was about 5 customers deep. When the cashier again ignores the designated Black Friday line that they set up and begins to help a gentleman that just walks up wanting a new Cellphone and start service...i then asked to all of the cashiers, "am I in the right line? Or do I just walk up to the cashiers like everyone else? All of us waiting patiently in line are just watching employees and other customers walk up to be helped?" 2). Starbucks: Always great and friendly service from the Starbucks team and seems they are managed separately as you can notice the difference. After the nice gentleman barista took my order I waited for my drink behind two "on break" Target Red Shirt female employees...when they called my name for my drink I could not get to to my drink because the two employees were blocking the pick up area (just standing there) asking for some "ice water" from the baristas. Again the red shirt employees lack the customer service skills to realize a customers name was just called so maybe they should step aside. Also it was a pretty busy time so asking for your "iced water" for your break can probably wait. Again, there have been some great employees I have come in contact with at this store over the years. These encounters have been recent so I hope management would consider turning up the customer service training. Maybe these are "seasonal employees" so if I do see a "return to great customer service" I will revise my review as I do want my local Target to succeed. For now though I will be visiting The Albany Target.... read more

I shop here all the time. Love the store because it offers many selections & styles, in addition to great prices. As such, I just had the a great shopping experience. I needed to make an on-line purchase. After making my selection Zoe, my cashier, handed me a hand-held device and asked me to enter contact information. This device is not only too small, but it's difficult to enter the proper information accurately. SPECIAL THANKS TO ZOE who took the time to enter my information so that all I needed to do was enter my credit card! I was pretty impressed by this Target being a first time patron to this location. It's either new or looks to be recently remodeled. Everything seemed fully stocked, it was spotless, and they even had a fancy queue for the checkout line. I did spot a security guard who was making routine rounds around the parking lot. The most memorable thing about this Target? Its employees. Everyone I came across greeted me or I noticed they were greeting other customers. It's a Target, what is there to say, really? It's new and pretty clean. I find that the environment is more pleasing to shop at than Wal-Mart. Very easy to get in and out relatively quickly, which I love. I don't find the customers or employees to be especially annoying, classless, or whatever negative adjective others have used in their reviews. The cashiers are generally friendly enough, bathrooms feel relatively clean (bonus points for setup where I can exit without having to touch anything with my clean hands), and there is usually plenty of parking, unless you go on a day that everyone is shopping (i.e. around holidays). My biggest complaint with this particular Target is that their selection of things is pretty small (why oh why couldn't Emeryville have gotten a two-story Target like Albany?), like sometimes they don't have what I'm looking for. Also, I am occasionally frustrated that they have almost no men's shoes. They DO have a shoe care section, however, which makes me very happy! Kiwi polishes, brushes, laces, and so on at very good prices. read more

This Target location is always busy! I prefer this location to the Albany location because it has a better layout and bigger parking lot. I believe that this Target has largely improved in the past three years I've lived in West Oakland. Three years ago, my husband and I found the workers unhappy, slow, and not useful. Management must have made some effective changes because every time we come here, we encounter much more competent workers. It helps that they have late hours because sometimes we need to make last-minute runs and Target almost always has what we need. read more

After them staring at me shopping for a few minutes I leave my cart to grab some stuff and come back to see a few of them giggling .... and one of them took my Cart. Duh, who doesn't like Target? The store is large and always clean. Sometimes very crowded, but that's because people love Target. There's a Starbucks and a snack counter as well. This Target is always well stocked and they always have employees around if you need to ask questions. I try to stick to my list when I go in because I'm always spending more than I wanted to! haha. Whenever you purchase ANYTHING from EMERYVILLE Target, ALWAYS scan using the Target app and confirm your price from what it says on the App to what they are selling it for. Screenshot the scanned price and when you are ready to check out, MAKE SURE the App price is the amthey are charging you and NOT the raised price. Today I went to Target in Emeryville, CA. I am a Consumer Cellular customer and Target provides phone sales and some in person technical support for Consumer Cellular customers. I went to the Electronics Department and worked with Jasmine who helped me resolve a problem with my phone. She knew how to resolve the problem on her own and taught me what to do if it happens again. She also took the initiative and called Consumer Cellular to see if they had any additional advice. They did. I couldn't have been happier with Jasmine's help and wonderful attitude. The fact that the Consumer Cellular person was clear and supportive facilitated an outstanding experience. Both Target and Consumer Cellular should be proud of their people and the excellent customer service they provide. read more

I'm giving this store a THREE solely because of a single worker in a single department. I lost my keys at this location and I called the number to guest services SEVEN TIMES and when it sounded like it was picked up I was disconnected each time. I finally decided to give another dept a call and I called electronics. The most helpful girl answered the phone while she said she couldn't transfer me over she got on with guest services and was able to tell me that they located my keys and they would be waiting for me. This would have been disastrous and disappointing without this one worker. What "guest services" is doing not answering their phones is BEYOND me. read more

Every time I walk into this place it is busy! Which can excuse how there is minimal clutter on the isles and walkways. Other then that the help we have received from the employees have been on point! They are always willing to help, they all know the isle numbers by heart it seams and they don't mind showing you the way. The store also has clean bathrooms, a Starbucks and a cafe. Want to shop and get a snack? They have you covered. The lines do move rather quickly here, just bring your own bags! It's now a 10 cent charge for bags in the city. I have been to this location everyday this week since I have moved into my apartment, talk about a life saver! They really do have almost everything on your list you may need. read more

I've had yelp for years and never felt the need to leave a negative review until today. I ordered for online pickup because I only had time to come on my lunch break. I purchased several items and I only received half of them. I told the clerk and she said she would have someone go get them. After waiting 30 minutes the employee returned and there were still some items missing. Now frustrated I told the clerk I can go find the same item in a different color for the same price and they can refund the rest. I love Target. So much better than Walmart. This one is just a short walk from my condo in Emeryville. It's so convenient and close. They have practically anything you need. Lines can get long during the weekdays after 5 pm and on the weekends so plan accordingly. They have a fresh food section as well and its great to be able to pick something up real quick if you're making that pot roast and run out of carrots. read more

I just wanted to give people who go to this target a warning about the parking lot. If you park in the front rows were they have a sidewalk. Be careful. There sidewalk is raised so high that it may do damage to your bumpers. I went there today, so excited that I found a front-row parking spot. I pulled in and heard a crack. I walked out of my car and the concrete from the sidewalk in the parking lot split my bumper. I was so mad I was going to go in there and talk to the manager, halfway there I turned around because I was thinking, this is a multimillion-dollar company they're not going to give a crap about my bumper. They weren't going to offer to repair it or provide any kind of assistance with fixing it. All I was going to do was get mad and ruin some manager's day and pass forward my bad day.
