i love target but... -i hate that target is now a part of the glendale galleria..target is so not mall material -parking at the galleria makes me want to drive to eagle rock or to the empire center targets instead (less structure, more flat open parking) -starbucks is so unnecessary. instead of throwing customer service on the second floor, it would have been nicer to have it on the ground floor with the rest of the registers. -it's three levels so you gotta come back down to the first floor to pay..it'd be cool if they had some registers on each floor -it seems completely understaffed. i was in line at the returns section and there were 3 people on registers and just me in line...a few minutes later the line increased to about 10 people and open registers decreased to 1..wtf? -i didn't notice higher prices, but i wouldn't be surprised considering that the rent for the galleria is through the roof read more

Staff is infuriating because they all have the "It's not my problem." attitude. There are several employees here who are pleasant, but several you just want to go crazy on. This is the worse Target I've ever been too...it used to be Robinson's May and I wished they kept it that way..all the products are way over priced...than other Target stores..I guess they have to pay their rent asap..for trash bags, slim jims, and a 12 pack of Dasani water...it came to a total of $16.00...bigtime highway robbery..it had three stories of depts..but you can tell they have few products available because it's new and very narrow...Glendale Galleria's trying to be like Topanga Plaza..totally not worth the drive on my day off.. read more

I'm giving this target 3 stars simply because I visited it three times looking for a queen sized mattress cover, was told they were getting shipment in the next day (all three times) and still came up empty handed. This place is always really crowded so it's understandable that the workers maybe didn't have time to give me a straight answer, but after three times enough was enough. This is my closest target and I recommend going before the mall crowds hit. I go around 8-10 on the weekends and that's when parking is the easiest. Anyway the store is in a complete disarray now from renovations. No one knows where anything is in the grocery or the pharmacy section. For example I asked a stocker where an otc medication was and she had no idea. She's a stock clerk. A stocking clerk in the healthcare section didn't know. Then I was like f it I will ask the pharmacy. I asked two pharmacists and they were just like yea lady that way *pointing. Like really? God maybe I should work here, it seems really easy when you have literally no idea where anything goes where you work. And yes I confirmed online that that store carried the specific items I was seeking. This is why amazon is running everyone out of business. Amazon, who hires over seas customer service (who barely speak basic english) to do a better job than your physically available stocking clerks. read more

A stacked store does not force a customer to walk more or search harder for the desired items, it only reduces its ultimate footprint size of the building. By building taller, you reduce unnecessary sprawl and imperviousness which affects storm water. In one-level stores, if you forget something or don't know where an item is, you spend just as much time pushing your cart across the store and up and down aisles as you would by pushing your cart on the easy to load escalator. Placement of products are intended to be intuitive so companies can sell more items. Just use common sense, if you are in frozen food section and you need to find toothpaste you should probably look elsewhere. Also, the idea of driving to a Target that is further away from you is absolutely ridiculous. The prices here are not much different from other Targets and any savings you may get are lost to the cost of gas used in getting there and the aggravation of battling traffic. Be a smart consumer. I love the three story concept and wish more stores including grocery stores would pursue such a concept. read more

let me first start out by saying, "i love you, target," BUT.... why is the target closest to me not so awesome?! no one can argue with a place where you can go to buy nylons, toothbrushes, wine, and alarm clocks in one place, however, why must purchasing 3 or 4 items take 25 minutes? i was so happy 4 years ago when this location opened and was walking distance from my house, but every times i've been there since 2007, i've never had a speedy exit. when i choose to drive (to pick up heavy items i.e. cat litter) of course the parking lot is always crazy, but that's because they're located in the mall, which isn't entirely their problem. but my main question is... WHY DON'T YOU EVER OPEN MORE CHECK-OUT LINES??? i've been there on the busiest weekends AND during the holidays and for some reason they always have 4 or 5 lines opened (out of their, what... 12?) and the express lines are NEVER opened. i think i've seen them opened 2 times in 4 years. why even have them? i love the convenient location, i love target's selection of items, and i'll even put aside the fact that for some reason the second floor smelled like feet for the first 8 months of it being opened (true story, i used to refer to it as 'the foot target') but the lengthy check out is irritating every time...even when i just want to run in for zip-locs. read more

OMG I only go here because it's one of the closer ones to my house but it is always SO crowded!!!!!! It really stresses me out to try to find parking, get in and out of traffic and then fight my way through the lines. Honestly, I find better stuff at other Targets also! This actually isn't a HORRIBLE Target. But I usually only come to this one when I have some shopping to do at the Galleria or plan coming here for work. There are huge pluses and huge minuses of coming to this location. **Positives: *it's Target, obviously they have pretty much everything you need. *it can't get any better than 3 floors. 3 floors= bigger, better selection of MOST things. *I've always experienced pleasant customer service, especially in "guest services" with returns. *they're relatively clean and always organized. *they're ALWAYS cleaning their restrooms (also a negative, see below list). *hello, there's a Starbucks (but usually super long line and their employees sometimes chit chat with regulars making their drink preparation go rather slow). *it's a part of the Galleria, so it's a huge plus if you're wanting to do some shopping as well (also a negative, see list below) **Negatives: *they're ALWAYS cleaning their restrooms. Usually not a huge deal considering that restroom cleanliness is a good thing, but it's so constant that you don't have as easy of access when you need them, and they're honestly not that clean when you walk in when they're done. *another restroom complaint: it's like there's a permanent restroom stench of poop and farts. Understandably, it is a restroom, but there shouldn't be a permanent stench. *I'm not a fan of their clothing selection. It's rather scarce in both sizes and selection. The Burbank Target, although only one floor, has a much better and larger selection. *their escalators, more specifically, where you put your carts to travel with you up and down, seem to be broken quite often. *the customers here suck. They're rude people and don't supervise their kids. I'm not lying when I say that on several occasions, kids have run through me and their parents have not said a word. *it's part of the Galleria- so if all you want to do is make a quick Target run, drive the extra ways to go to the Eagle Rock (even though this one seriously sucks!) or Burbank Targets- you'll make up for time spent on driving around to find a parking spot. ... Which segues into the last negative... *the parking here blows chunks. I've sometimes spent up to 15 minutes finding parking here. Sometimes you have to literally fight for parking spots. Not to mention, people suck at parking not because they just suck at parking, but because they literally do not give a shit to park considerately. I came in to this Target today at about 9:45 AM. After I collected my items for purchase, I went to check out. To my surprise, I was told that there were no cashiers at the moment and that I would have to use the self check out. When I asked to speak to the manager to complain that I was essentially being forced to work for Target for free, I was directed to the customerservice/returns/exchanges area to check out. The stars are for the lady I spoke with who was polite, courteous and professional. The lack of any additional stars are for the management and higher ups that seem to think it's an acceptable policy to force customers to work for free and use self checkout as a means to cut jobs, saving them money. I understand some people might prefer self check out as a means to expedite things and if they choose to work for Target for free, then so be it. However, it should be a choice. I will be calling corporate to file a formal complaint as well. read more

Yep, this target kinda sucks. It has 2 (or is it 3?) floors which makes everything more complicated. It's not messy, for the most part, so props for that. But there's no attendants in sight! To make things worse, I spent 30 minutes in line because of a certain cashier who was super slow. It had to be her first day because she had no idea what the heck she was doing! By the way, there was only two other cashiers each with a line of 6+ people. Hire more people, Target. Please. [Also, this Target seems to have a different return policy. I returned an opened package of undershirts, and I only received store credit. Forget the mall and head straight to Target for all your needs. Seriously, I can never find anything when I'm shopping but once I go to Target it seems like it was tailored for me. That place has everything in one convenient store. I love this location because it's in the mall so if people want to drag me there, at least I will be reassured in knowing that it won't be a total disappointment. THREE LEVELS OF PURE GOODNESS. It's also super classy with those escalators for your shopping carts. I've always been tempted to ride in them despite the signs advising not to. Heehee. It's organized so well. It's like it was tailored for me. Once I enter from the second level the beauty products are right there so I can make a beeline for it. Starbucks inside so I can grab my coffee and sip it while heading to other shops. It's blissful, it really is. Just a forewarning, if you ask for a bag they will charge you 10 cents (I think?). Nery in the Electronics dept. claims to be a manager at Target Glendale Galleria but he is absolutely the stupidest employee there. I was paying with 2 gift cards, one for $10 and the other for $25. The $10 gift card went through but the $25 gift card was not accepted. Why, I asked. Nery said you have to use it at the store where you bought it. What?! It was bought at Ralphs and Nery says to use it there? Yeah, right, Nery, Ralphs will accept payment for groceries with a Target gift card. How brilliant (sarcasm, please) Nery! Why don't you try paying for your groceries at Ralphs with a Target gift card, Nery? After paying with my credit card, I went to Guest Services and spoke with the very smart Jennifer who should be the General Manager of all Target stores! She knew right away what Nery did incorrectly. She explained that Nery had scanned the wrong barcode (there were two barcodes on the Target gift card). How did Nery get to be a manager if he doesn't know that there are two barcodes on the gift card?! I wonder how many other customers he turned away because of his incompetence! There's something terribly wrong going on with this target store. I was at the galleria shopping for shoes for my little one and decided to head over to target for socks...it was a disaster! All the merchandise was either on the floor or tossed on top of shelves in a heap I can bet is hiding the corpse of a several months dead cat. I was amazed, I mean I shop at the target in north Hollywood and it's never looked like this one did, not even around x-mas. To make matters worse, there weren't any employees around to ask to see if they had any socks in my kids' size in the back. When I finally found someone, a very friendly but over-burdened employee by the name of patty, she was very apologetic and amazingly helpful. She was kinda sad when I asked if her target was going out of business (which I didn't think was the case since there weren't more markdowns than usual) to which she replied 'No'. I really hate this target (2195 Glendale 91210). They don't have a good customer service. I came here just to make a return of a product the doesn't work. Stupid Brenda (supervisor) told me that i can't return used stuff. I told them that this doesn't work of course i have to try it and used it so i will know if this doesn't work. How stupid is that you don't try it and tell them that it is defected. Only stupid Brenda knows that. I really like target but customer service is the big issue. This store has three levels! At first I thought it was pretty ginormous, but it's actually just because each level is pretty small, so they're able to stack them up to look large even though they seem to carry the same amount of products. Whatever, still looks cool! My favorite thing about the store, besides the fact that it's connected to the mall ;) is that they have escalators specifically for your carts. Oooh how futuristic! We don't have anything like that in Vegas, so we were so fascinated. The reason why I'm giving them 3 stars instead of 4 is because some of the employees are just weird. The store closes at 11pm, or is it 10pm? But the mall itself closes at 9pm, so when the clock strikes 9, they start putting down the fences to divide the Target from the mall. We didn't know they did that, so when we saw the lady putting down the fence on the 1st floor, we ran over and asked her if we could go out, but she continued to let the fence out and said we'd have to go out through the second floor. Okay.. So we hopped on the elevator, got to the second floor, and started to walk toward the exit and noticed that the same employee just got out of the elevator next to us and almost ran toward the exit to start letting the fence down. Wtf? That was kind of strange and annoying. I'm assuming if she got there before us she'd probably say we'd have to go out through the 3rd floor and try to race us there as well. Other than that, I like this Target. I choose to never go to this Target for the simple fact that you need to park in the parking structure and it does not have a lot. It is always a madhouse whenever I go here as well because it is in the mall. I can only see this Target as a good shopping location if you happen to be in the mall and need something last minute. But if you're making a trip to JUST go to Target, I recommend another location if you can get to it. read more

It is Target. What more can one say. It is good for toilet paper and what-not. I'm the shopper they don't like to see. I have coupons. If you are like me and use coupons here are some tips. Organize your coupons and pull them as you shop. Next, pick a seasoned cashier, aka older person, preferably a woman. Pick the cashier that looks like your grandmother. She's seen coupons before and will not look at you like you are a run-away from planet Mars. Once you have placed your items on the belt, stand ready with said coupons and monitor the whole process. Sometimes, the magical pieces of paper do not scan. The younger cashiers don't catch this, the seasoned ones do. Monitor each coupon to make sure it is counted toward the balance. Pay and leave. This Target has some great things about it...and some not so great things about it. I decided to split the difference and give it an average of 3 stars. The good: - 3 stories. It makes it nice when you just want some household stuff to only go to the second floor, and not deal with the crowds on the first and third floors. - Separate entrances for the the 1st and 2nd floors. - Pretty spread out. - Easy to navigate. - Unlike other reviewers, I have found the cashiers to be pretty friendly (but not other workers...see note in "Bad" section) - Like another reviewer, I love the escalator for the carts. It never gets old. Is it sad that my excitement as an adult is the same as a 5-year-old? Haha :-) The bad: - They don't carry certain, commonplace, things. I am not talking about unique items, I am talking about things like hair conditioner that you can find at any drug store. - Some of the aisles are super narrow (especially on the second floor). - As another reviewer noted, a lot of the items are already opened or used. What is up with people? I went last week and there was a lady actually trying the different hand sanitizers with her son. It isn't Costco people - there are NO free samples! - Hard to find employees when you need them. I wanted some shaving cartridges and they are locked up (not surprising given my previous point). It took me like 5 minutes, walking around the floor, to find someone to unlock a box for me. Same thing happened in the DVD section - it took a while to find someone to look up if they carried a certain DVD. Other things to note that did not change my rating (and other people have mentioned): - The patrons here are ridiculous! They are rude, oblivious, and lack common sense. I can list about 50 stories of ignorance...but I digress. - It is best to go on weekdays if you have that luxury. Weekends get a little crazy. - Parking is decent...on weekdays. Weekends make it harder to find parking, but hey, it's free! Definite plus! However, if you have a lot of stuff and need to use your cart to get it to your car, the areas in the garage where you can go with the cart (before the wheels lock up) is limited. My husband and I learned this the hard way! In the end, this is not the best Target I have gone too. But, it is Target and it covers most of my personal care and household needs. read more

To start, this store is located within the Glendale Galleria. As we all know, it doesn't matter what day of the week it is or what time of day or night, this mall is usually crowded. Therefore, parking here is not the best. You have to drive around trying to find a spot in the parking structure. Overall, this store had poor service, long lines, and an even longer wait when you're trying to check out. I will not be coming back to this Target location anytime soon. read more

Fantastic location, but expect parking to be a serious pain on the weekends due to everyone else at the Galleria. This company sold me bedsheets that when unfolded had a suspicious looking blood-like stain on it. When I called the store, I spoke with the manager Veronica who couldn't care less about my situation and basically acted as if it was my problem that they had sold me a potentially blood-stained item. But the lines normally are a little long, and the parking is terrible BUT its also in the mall so you have to expect that! I love Target, but this is my least favorite location and the most stressful one I've ever been to. As a mom with a young kid, I find the three levels difficult to navigate. Today marks the third time I went here, and each time I have muttered out loud "I am never coming back to this location again!" Additionally, there was no where in sight to place your carts when you're finished in the parking lot. I had to take my kid back out of the car and drag her with me just to find the cart coralle, which didn't exist. We ended up leaving the cart to the side of a yellow (no parking) zone. I hate to leave a bad review during the Christmas season, but I would seriously not recommend this target for any parents with young kids with them.
