Came into the store Saturday morning around 8 am. The MOD was not very helpful at all. She refused to give me a $10 gift card because the product was overpriced by Instacart. The cashier made frequent mistakes during the process. Another employee had to void the entire purchase and re-start it again. The simple buying experience turned into a 35 to 45 minute ordeal with the 2nd female employee being mean and aggressive at me, the customer. She was cruel and had many micro aggressions (mean girl energy while chewing gum violently). It was a horrid shopping experience at Target on January 8, 2026 at 9:11pm in Livermore, California. This is nonsense. Earlier this year, they made their Target Circle deals easier, so you didn't need to select each item individually, to get whatever discount is available. Just enter your phone number at checkout, how nice! Welp, that's gone. You're back to using the app again, but it gets even worse. If you qualify for a "$10 gift card" by purchasing $50 worth of groceries or whatever, you no longer get that applied at checkout, nor do they give you a physical gift card any more. Instead, you're supposed to get a credit to your account, which will show up a couple days later. That's CRAP. If you don't know about a checkout error, you can't get it fixed on the spot any more. And a couple of days later is just enough to forget that you were supposed to get a credit, when it never shows up. They are screwing their customers AGAIN! Yes, we were supposed to get a $10 credit from our shopping 4 days ago, and gosh, we just remembered it! We checked, and nope, it's not there! So what do we do about it? I'm sick of how this place takes advantage of customers who aren't paying close attention to price tags, and the deals they're supposed to get, but never do. Safeway just reached a deal with the Alameda County DA office for much less serious offenses. I can't wait until they turn their attention to Target. read more

Needless to say I will not be back at store 0828 . I do appreciate Kimberly from the back coming to support when she could. My family of 6 came here and of course the check lanes were full , we decided to go to self checkout out. Long story short .... We were waiting at self checkout for over 30 min with the need support message on our screen. No one came ! I called cooperate after speaking with multiple team members because I simply explained my issues and concerns and no one offered their support. Ironically they supported two other people while skipping over us ( my four young children were confused as well as my husband and I) when I asked for a l.o.d (leader on duty) no one knew what that was. When I asked for a TL (team lead) I was given an attitude with the walkie calling for someone to support. An additional 12 min (I was on the phone with corporate ) go by before anyone came and thankful it was someone (Kimberly) understanding and apologetic of the situation. Long story short my family and I were looked over , mistreated by team members and that was super uncomfortable , embarrassing and ruthless. Many of you may question why not walk out ? Debbie saved my 5 year old's day. We ordered a highly sought after Lego set for pickup at two different stores which both sold out before they fulfilled our order. We eventually ended up at the Livermore Target where we were initially told they were also sold out but Debbie went searching. She asked around to other employees until they finally tracked down the Lego set in the back of the store. We are so thankful for Debbie! read more

I had an uncomfortable encounter with the super rude and unfriendly checker, Christine. She was very friendly to the Caucasian customers before and after me but her demeanor completely switched and was absolutely cold and she clearly felt no obligation to greet a non-white customer such as me. She was peering over her check stand in a very obvious way to see if I was perhaps concealing something under my cart - which is odd because the carts have no lower rack... she said absolutely nothing to me during the whole encounter and she scanned my items with obvious disdain - until I spoke up and brought it to her attention that she has not greeted me. I've worked in customer service and retail and every customer I've encountered received the same treatment and service regardless of race, age, ability, etc. I don't understand how people can feel okay about treating people poorly because they don't look like the kind of person they think deserves kindness or respect. I love Target, but just not this one. They always seem to be out of the items I want to buy. No matter what day/time I stop by, the checkout lines are long and inefficient. The customer service is pretty good considering the store is run by teenagers! There is construction currently going on, so the parking lot is even more of a mess than usual. Plenty of parking outside as well so no problems there. They have a ton of different items to choose from when I need something too. I was just there few mins ago decided to use the restroom first but on the hallway to the restroom this one employee shoulder bumped me. I said excuse me but she didn't even say anything. I mean it's a common courtesy to say something, whoever that target employee was rude not to say anything. I noticed some of their employees are like that. Last time I was there, this girl pushing the cart so fast and i was walking towards her she didn't even say excuse me or stop. I love this Target. It's by my house. It has great specials. It seems to be the ONLY place that carries peach pop tarts (how could this be? They're amazing. Why aren't they everywhere?) I can also buy my coconut LaCriox here. I have a lot of fun in the seasonal section up front- today I came home with about 20 pairs of seasonal socks (guess what the family are getting in their xmas stockings?) Starting to really hate this target. Everything is locked up and you'll end up standing around for 30 minutes as dozens of employees pass you with no intention of helping. I always feel unwelcome here except for a few people who are fantastic. I don't know if every single employee recently is on replen but if they are this store severely needs more staff. Worst store ever. Store was good back when David was in charge. Since he left this store fell apart. I mean it's a target like any other only it sucks. The people are all unhelpful kids or older people many speak broken English. People are always stealing I've seen people run out several times. So when you look for items in the app and then show up to the store the item is almost never there. I WOULD LEGIT GO OUT OF MY WAY TO FIND A BETTER STORE BECAUSE THIS STORE IS SO BAD. Dublin has better stores. Management here is hideous specifically day time management. The night people are so nice but the store still sucks I feel so bad for them because I can tell the day shift leaves a mess for them. I have mixed emotions about this location. I don't have to get on the freeway to get there.... good. Empty shelves and massive carts of merchandise to be shelved blocking entire isles when I shop ... bad. I never know if the things I regularly buy will be there. East Dublin has wider isles, and is far better stocked. I do like pricing on basic items, but at this store it is a chore to shop. Not a bad Target as far as Target stores go. Still finding it hard to believe I have not yelped this location either! As far as prices go, it's not too bad. They have amazing clearance deals that are hard to compete with at any other store! I'm a huge fan of: +Clothing (Clearance only, though) +Makeup +Men's novelty tees +Movies (dirt cheap!!) I always get my makeup here. Ever since I first started buying makeup, it's always been here. Even if the makeup itself wasn't that good, I could always try something else for no more than like $11. Customer service is always good, I particularly remember one employee (yesterday) by the name of "Sterling". Very helpful and very friendly! I just finished a Target run and I'm sitting in my car as I write this. One of the items I purchased scanned cheaper on the Target app than what was listed on the shelf. I've gotten price adjustments before at Target, no problem. There's even a sign at each register that says that if an item is advertised for less than what the time scans for, let your cashier know and they'll adjust the price. Well, I held my phone with the Target app open with the item, and without even greeting me first, the cashier (her name was Shahla) rudely said "put that away I'm not going to scan that right now. Show me at the end." When she scanned the item in question, I told her that it scanned cheaper on the app. To which she replied "well you have to show me"... Well, if you let me get my two cents in initially, you would've understood why I had my phone and app open. But it doesn't end there. When she checks the price on my app, she adjusted the price and straight up said "are you happy now?" It took everything for me to not go off on her as there was a line behind me. I work in health care, but a lot of what I do is customer service. So I understand how challenging customers can be, but I don't think I was being difficult or rude by any means or asking for anything out of the ordinary. I can honestly say I've NEVER treated or spoken to a patient like that. Oh, and I've also worked retail in the past--and at Target. So disgusted at this experience and interaction. read more

Now that I am living back in Livermore, I had to check out my local Target. It was recently remodeled and much better than it was before. It's clean and the staff seem to be very helpful which is always a plus in my book. I do have to say that I am a little put off by how they have some stock issues on the items I regularly buy. I also have been noticing that each time I am in there, they're either resetting the store or just are catching up on inventory. Recently aired my opinion on that in one of their surveys they send after I visit. Over all it's a solid store with some great potential to improve at least to my high standards. Did something happen in planning all of the parking lots along this road because they all seem to be a mess? The store itself seemed well-organized and employees were friendly. We headed here from Circle K because the snack selection was slim and the prices were high. The prices here seemed kind of high for Target (for non-Target brands) but at least, they had a big selection. Thankfully, they had sales on some Lays products. I always find something at Target. Is that a crime? The checkout area was somewhat overwhelmed, but this is the holiday season giving the gift that never ends. The cashier was friendly anyway.
