I have been going to this store every week for about three months to furnish my new place. Great selection of fine furniture but requires patience waiting for the piece you want. I worked with Dipti most of the time and she was great understanding what I was looking for. She called me when pieces that may work came in and made wonderful suggestions which helped me a lot. She was very honest and never just wanted to make a sale. She was always attentive and took time to help me. They are all great there! I had a very upsetting experience at this store. The employee Dipti S treated me coldly--speaking with a frown--while warmly greeting Indian customers with smiles. I felt clearly singled out. When I came to pick up my furniture, Dipti S suddenly yelled at me. Then a white male employee (who refused to give his name) came over and aggressively yelled at me too, even using the f-word. I felt disrespected, humiliated, and unsafe. Very disappointing behavior from a brand like RH. I hope this is taken seriously. read more

This outlet is actually a store for RH wasted items, what customer reject, most of the items are damaged or dirty. If you want to pay over $1k for a chair knowing its from RH but be dirty or $2.5k on a damaged cabinet fixed with a pen, than this is a good store for you. read more

We've visited the RH Outlet in Pleasanton multiple times over the past year, and every time we've been helped by the staff, especially Dipti, it's been a consistently great experience. She's always professional, kind, and goes out of her way to be helpful. Whether we're browsing or picking something up, she greets us with a smile and makes sure our questions are answered. Helps with measurements and great advice. Selected an excellent console with her help today that matches a really nice dining table she helped us with a few months back. It's easy to tell she takes pride in her work and genuinely wants customers to leave happy. In a busy outlet environment, her calm and respectful approach really stands out. I was curious to see how cloud couches were truly like and what they hype was all about. So I knew there was a RH Outlet relatively nearby and well, we finally took the trip out to go see what this place was all about. L O C A T I O N RH Outlet is near the Trader Joe's in East Pleasanton. There's a large amount of parking so there's no worries about finding them in front of this place. I N S I D E This feels like a place that gets all the returns and just resells them as-is. I'm not sure if that's the real case but it feels like it is. They have a good amount of cloud couches with various fillings so you know which you'd like. They also have a fair amount of other tables (dining, coffee, etc), chairs, couches, night stands, mirrors, art work, outdoor furniture, etc. But don't be expecting to see a specific item. You can probably call in to see if they have a particular item in stock before heading in. I knew they would have cloud couches so I didn't even bother to call. P R I C I N G So if you know Restoration Hardware prices, then the "sale" or "clearance" prices here are basically still SUPER expensive if you compare to Ikea (well duh.), West Elm, CB2 or Pottery Barn. But they are at least slightly more discounted and some are heavily discounted and that's probably because it's been there a while or damaged. S E R V I C E We weren't really approached by anyone, which is how I like shopping. There was staff around. I'm sure if you're really looking to buy you can approach one of them to handle the purchase. I love stumbling across discount outlets like this- where I can score on quality and high end pieces that I couldn't afford otherwise! The amount of inventory at this location was surprising- so many options to choose from for being an outlet store, and little to no damage or issues with nearly everything I looked at. I'll definitely be back when I'm on the hunt for a new couch (probably towards the end of this year) Beautiful leather couches on the floor, some discounted below the $3,000 mark. For restoration hardware pieces that's a steal. Nearly everything I looked at was discounted a minimum of 50% with some items discounted as much as 80%. If you're on the hunt for furniture, it's definitely worth stopping in here first! I take one star away for the lack of acknowledgement we received while here. Though there were many employees, not one greeted us or asked us if we needed assistance or had any questions. Hopefully next time I'm in they'll be more attentive! read more

Unimpressed tbh. Everything here is extremely overpriced even for an outlet. Some of the chairs had wobbly legs and there was not much to be desired. Expect to pay $1K+ for furniture even if it's the smallest table. Air arm chair cushion will set you back $250 alone. Who pays for this stuff? The material isn't even good. Most of the blankets were really scratchy. The leather couches were nice and stylish however I would not pay those prices. read more

This is definitely a 5 star RH outlet location. They get shipments on Wednesdays and Fridays, so depending if they have time and space, you'll see new items on these days. The store leader, Sabin, is really good with managing the location and customers. A few things I have learned from shopping here: 1) They tend to be less busy in the first hour of opening or the last hour of closing, but like any place, this just depends on the day 2) They can put items on hold for you for up to 2 hours. If you are driving up there, make sure you call first to have them hold the items you are looking for 3) Some of the time, items are cheaper than what is shown on the tag. They get so many markdowns, that they don't always have time to get them all documented. Just ask. 4) Not every item is marked 50% off from retail, and it can take 90 -180 days for some items to get put on clearance. I would say that the majority of the time, things are at least 50% off, but just know that not all are. If an item is on clearance, it can get marked down weekly or monthly, it just depends on how much space they need to make for incoming inventory 5) There are some items that tend to always be a good deal. Lighting tends to be more than 50% off most of the time, but that is usually due to them having only 1 or 2 of an item that you need 3 or 4 of. Lighting is guaranteed to work, so if you buy a sconce or other wired item, be sure to test it a few days after you buy it, and if it does not work, the store should take it back. Bed sheets and rugs are also usually discounted more than 50%. 6) They have measuring tape at the store, just ask 7) Not all items are damaged, but yes they are marks, cracks, and stains here and there. If the item is real wood, you can often fix it with a sander or a marker. If it is made with performance fabric, the stain should come out. Bring a magic eraser if you want to test how easily the stain can come out 8) You have to provide your own transportation for the items you buy. The store does a great job wrapping items in plastic wrap, and the dock is on the right side of the store. They have some delivery businesses they can refer you to. They will usually give you 2-3 days to pick up your items. The dock is on the right side of the store. 9) Don't judge the store after just one visit. I remember not liking anything the first time I was there years ago, and now I try to go every week. 10) The people who work here do get busy at times, so yes, you'll have to expect longer hold times if you are on the phone. Highly encorage everyone not to go in this specific RH outlet store! The owner is a very dishonest person. He is in his mid 50s indian or arabian looking. I asked him couple questions regarding this one furniture. He then just simply take a glance of look and just give me a price that thinking I dont know how much it cost originally from the RH website. I have to confront him and show him the regular price on the website for him to realize it. Then later he said oh sorry i havent change the price on that. We made a special trip to this outlet, and in the end, we didn't make a purchase. We were looking to see if they had any lighting or counter stool options. They had a few, but nothing that we were interested in. The selection is okay. If you're looking for Cloud couches, they definitely had several in stock. Many of the chandeliers were damaged or had missing pieces. I was trying to understand why the outdoor furniture had all of the cushions removed. You had to buy them separately. I mean, is that how you purchase them in the regular store? I'm not quite sure. If so, fine. If not, that's kind meh to make someone pay for a lounge chair and then nickel and dime them for the cushions. As far as the discount is concerned...it depends on you and your budget. Don't come here looking for Home Goods or Living Spaces prices. Trust. The items will still be pretty expensive for the average consumer. Also, I never like when people say, "I SAVED _____ DOLLARS!" We were able to find several nice pieces for our backyard as well as our bedroom, including a loveseat, chair and ottoman. We love the style/design, color scheme and quality of RH. Stephanie was absolutely wonderful to work with. Because it is an outlet, we did need extra time to inspect all merchandise for levels of defectiveness. In addition, we realized that some prices were not marked as low as we anticipated, or even marked down at all, so it would behoove one to compare the retail and outlet prices prior to purchasing. They don't provide their own delivery services and will refer you to a few trusted ones. Anytime you're in the market for new furniture, RH Outlet is definitely a place to check out. Not only can you save some money, you get your furniture right away and you need not worry about snobby service that I've encountered at the regular RH store (particularly WC). I was there about 2 min ago! The outlet leader Sabin Filip was so rude and racist with us ! He waste our time about 40 min! Hiding in the back room! It looks like you are getting a deal in this outlet but often times the main location knocks off 20% from the top as well, so pricing is similar but the outlet stuff is purchased without warranty where the main store has a great warranty. we've founds dings, scratches and other issues when their furniture arrives at our house. The furniture is expensive and not made to last forever so I'd recommend buying direct from the main store instead. Similar pricing but you at least have a lifetime warranty on mail store items that is non existent if you buy from this outlet.. read more

Disappointing. My husband and I came on a Saturday around 10:30am - barely any shoppers inside and we stayed about 10 minutes. No one ever greeted us or offered us help. There were a handful of workers in the store huddled around the cash registers deep in casual conversation and giggling with one another but not providing any customer attentiveness or care. FINALLY, a restoration hardware outlet in the East Bay... This store is great! I was one of the first few to come on opening day right when they opened. I scored some really great pieces at amazing prices. 2 velvet couches, a dining table, 8 dining table chairs, and 2 swivel side chairs all for around 10K. While that may seem like a hefty sum for an outlet, I ended up saving about 12K. Everything I purchased did end up being in great to excellent condition but they do have pieces that have flaws. Also note that they were doing 40% off the entire store.. I think their promotional sales change from time to time. Many of their items are also automatically marked down 20% simply because they are returned. Minus the one star for some of the rude staff that don't even say hello when you walk in.. there are some great associates though. David, Shahpar, and Kelly- thank you for being so so kind and helpful!!! Side note: keep in mind that they do not deliver anything you purchase so you just find your own way of transporting the merchandise yourself! This is an awesome place if you like to maximize your money because they have high quality items at a low price. I was there earlier this week and Jules and Angela where very helpful. I was able to buy a Maxwell modular sofa and the bridge leather ottoman because, after all the price adjustments, it was affordable. These pieces had a 30% off to start with. Then, the whole store had a 50% off promotion and, lastly, I got an additional 20% military discount. Transportation was a problem, but I rented a Budget Cargo Van, conveniently located half a mile a way, for $15 per day plus 65 cents a mile. I highly recommended the Pleasenton RH outlet! read more

The BEST and Friendliest staff at any retail store in the Bay Area! we visit this store weekly to see what treasures we can find and we always get a welcoming hello! They have alot of brand new items that that are straight out of the boxes and the prices are very affordable for the quality of furniture, so thank you RH corporate! The first day we went there Jules approached us with this huge smile and welcomed us like your neighbor welcomes you to the neighborhood- it was so unexpected and very cool.
