Went with my wife yesterday to purchase a jacket. Never been to this location before. I usually go to the one in Berkeley. However, my wife wanted to see if this one was the same as that one. Walked in and was greeted by 2 employees. That was pretty friendly in my eyes. Found an employee, who was available, in the section I was in. He immediately asked me if i needed help with anything. I described to him what I was looking for and he showed me 2 diffrent items and walked away. However, neither was what I was looking for 100%... so I continued to look. I found a jacket that was locked up, so I went back to him to ask him to unlock. He was placing some items on a tank and said he will be there in a minute. However, when he finished, he walked past us and continued to put stock items that were not in his hand initially when I requested assistance. I continued to watch him stock, clearly ignoring my request. I went back to him and asked if he was going to help us, he looked at me and then he radioed for someone else. When that passion came, he held his hands up saying he was busy with the items he had. So, she apologized and thanked us for our patience. She unlocked the jacket, gave it to us and walked away. I tried on the jacket (Feeling a way about how we were treated by the other employee). I decided that I wanted to try on another color. Unfortunately, the employee was the only one in the area. I went to him and told him what I needed. During this time, he watched my wife struggle to zip up the 1st jacket. He finally stated he would do it. We stood there watching him fumble with the jacket close to 5 mins. We also had to stand there while he stopped to assist another customer with a question. We were in totally disbelief. After, he confirmed the size I needed, although I said it twice to him. He gave me the jacket and watched me while I sent to the mirror to look at myself. He stayed right behind us. So, I went to another mirror. He followed us. At this point, i was annoyed because the other employee did not ready us this way. I told him that we were going to buy the jacket,. He said "Are you going to buy the jacket?". I said yes. He said "Would you like me to take it to the front?". I told him that we can take it to the front ourselves. I all for the manager immediately when I got to the cashier. I spoke with Peter (Manager). I told him about the whole ordeal. I told him that I watched and heard how he interacted with other customers who were not black. I told him that we felt discriminated against. I told him that we felt disrespected. He told us that he was not excusing anything, but he wants me to know that the employee was autistic. I told him that e have people with autism in our family, I am a social worker and educator. However, how we were treated had nothing to do with autism. I told him this was ridiculous as 1st time customers. I told him that I was going to do a review on this location. He said he would coach that employee on this interaction. He asked me what he could do. I told him nothing really. We are pissed. He gave me 70% off to be used on the next visit. I told him to apply it more because I had no intentions of coming back to this location. That employee was racist. read more

They've got a ton of jackets to choose from, a good amount of vests too. They also had a little snow gear, and some sweats. The place is wall to wall with clothing when you go in. Pricing is good, but most stuff I'd guess is $200+ with a 30-40% discount on it. You'll get a nice coat/jacket if you want one when you come here, bring your wallet. read more

I've been coming to the Livermore outlets for years and yesterday was my first bad experience at this store. The whole store was basically 60% off which was a wonderful deal so the vibes were high. We roamed around and my husband tried on a lot of jackets. It was finally time to head to checkout and little did we know the cashier would be so rude to us. I didn't get his name but his salesperson ID was 979589 according to our receipt. He asked if we were a student, teacher, military or nurse. We said no, but inquired about being a healthcare worker as my husband is a doctor and I'm an imaging tech. He RUDELY said no just those four only! We asked if we could maybe talk to the manager and he said no it's just the four... We love North Face and their products, but this experience with this worker totally ruined it... One of my pet peeves is while I'm in the middle of looking through the clothes rack for my size and a staff comes up to me and says "excuse me, let me get through" (to stock up). Because instead of you offering to help me find my size, you're pretty much saying I'm in your way by shopping. You couldnt wait 1-2 mins more for me to find what I'm looking for before you ask me to move aside?! I was more than happy to move away... out of the store. The North Face outlet store in San Francisco Premium Outlets is same as lots of outlet stores. It basically has their own merchandise order for the outlet. It is completely different than the North Face brand merchandise in the retail stores. I can't even find anything from the retail store that sells here anymore in the recent years! The store is so busy on weekends. Line up in front of the store most of the time. So it is much easier if you can come here on the weekdays. The cashier counter also has a long line most of the day on weekends. Try to come here early in the morning if you have time on weekends only. The store is will organize even though it's so busy. The signs are clearly visible with all the promotional items or new merchandise in the store. They're doing a pretty good job! read more

One of my favorite stores for hoodies. Very surprised of the reviews there are on here. I was a very happy customer. Once I walked in from being out in the hot weather they had fresh cold air and very clean fresh smell. I walked threw the store and everyone was smiling, seemed a little busy but not crowded witch I liked. Then, A lady came up to me as she was fixing the shelf in the front to the right side of the store and helped me while keeping a friendly smile and conversation. She was amazingly helpful because I went to multiple stores to shop for my husband who is picky and she sold me right away. Very happy with my purchase. Aside from finding great deals on their merchandise, employees are very nice and helpful. They raised this "helpfulness" to another level by assisting in finding a missing child last 3/16/25. The guy by the door (sorry we didn't ask his name) made sure to be on the lookout for the missing child. Thankfully, the child was found (with help from the outlets' security people). Disappointing Experience at The North Face Store I recently visited The North Face store and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. The mandatory line to enter the store, coupled with the rainy weather, made the wait particularly inconvenient. the treatment from the staff made me feel like nobody. Bad customer service. The workers are not professional. I received a refund with a gift card a month ago, but I couldn't use it today. They say they can't confirm how much balance is left on the gift card and I can't use this card to pay. Therefore they tell me to call the customer service directly to fix it. And the door open late and close early than other stores around. They are running a very self-centered business. I am really upset and disappointed. read more

You can get a few of good deals here. The backpacks are around ~$30-40. There is graphic tees for like ~$13. I think they are having a 50% off right now. I just walked around some parts of the store not all of it so I'm not sure if the 50% off is for everything. One bad thing about this store was that when I went to the shoes part, it was all over the place and messy so if you are looking for shoes you might have to open every box to check what is what. read more

This one is in regards to my visit today. Because I was coming from San Jose, I wanted to make sure they had the duffel I wanted in stock. Over the phone, Tim mentioned to me that yes, they had the Base Camp Duffel in Medium and in yellow so I asked him to put it on hold for me. Over a hour in the Livermore heat to get in the store. Never again! Came a few weeks back and they had someone at the entrance making the process quicker explaining the rules and letting customers in while customers leave. Now employees wait inside and the process is much slower. While waiting to get in an employee now announces that they will be a time limit as some customers have been in the store for over an hour. They just figured this out you would think that all stores have a standard process to follow read more

This North Face outlet is insanely good for deals! My receipt said "You saved 315.98$" This location is inside the San Francisco Premium outlets in Livermore. I was recently there and came out with 4 pairs of shoes/boots for 100 bucks. This deal was pretty hard to believe but it's legitimate. I suppose I got such good deals because my shoe size is larger than average (rawr!) and there were lots of choices in the discounted section because of my size; but, either way, 2 for 50$ is a great deal on shoes and boots. I got two pairs of boots with Gortex for hiking and some mid running/hiking shoes. I looked around and there were other great deals too like 50% of jackets etc. I probably would have gotten more but I had several other bags I was carrying full of loot. I'm not sure why this place would have poor reviews because the staff members were helpful (e.g. they took the boxes from the shoes because I couldn't carry all the stuff I had purchased) and they had a pretty good selection. The one downside was that I originally came in looking for a new hiking hat but there were none to be found. Come during the week to avoid crowds! read more

So... I don't normally frequent North face, but when they're having a sale with up to 70% off on last season's stuff (who cares what season it is) well, you go in and look around. Got a total of $1K worth of jackets for less than $400 . The customer service was wonderful, I found everything I was looking for, and I was in and out in a decent amount of time. The store is quite big and nicely located in the Palo Alto mall. It has a variety is items besides winter clothing, it has accessories like caps, bags and shoes too. However, I felt they didn't have a good variety in winter clothing. The colors were limited, I was looking for a red or yellow jacket or sweatshirt but couldn't find any. Same with bags. Plus, they don't have any stuff for kids. Overall a good store if you are looking for basic North Face gear. read more

Be careful when you coming for thanksgiving holiday. It is understandable that there is a line waiting. You will find out there is people skip in the queues and it is allowed by the guard. That guy was asking people to pay him in person and he will let them in first.I love North Face. Found within the outlet mall this store still has a dignified nature to it. Its well run and orderly. With things getting chilly its time you find a new favorite jacket. The pieces here really are well thought out. The men's section didn't have the selection as the best department stores around but chances are if you take a look around you will find something you like. Versatility is the strongest point here. Some pieces are built such that you can zip out a lining to make one jacket give the utility of more than one. The aspect I didn't like about this place is that I found the colors to be too flashy and logos too large. I prefer something more subdued - looked like most of it was too fashionable for my taste. Colors too bright. Hard to find something all one color. If you want something to go snowboarding in don't hesitate to come on in. I would say its versatile especially in terms of function but probably not occasion. read more

Good customer service and large selection in mens and womens clothing, not X large and X small sizes. I do not like it when the clothes are only one size ...X large. Great buys and nice selection at this store. At REI and other stores, you can pay excess of $200 for certain North Face products, fleece outer jackets easily run over $100. Here are some specials... North Face Wind Wall jacket $49, fleece jackets $39. I found a North Face rain jacket for $59, good colors black, blue and gray. I noticed alot of the fleece and outer shell jackets being purchased, fall and winter is right around the corner. The backpacks were priced quite reasonable too. I shop here for my dad & the folded shirt displays at the entrance are a complete mess!!! I shop here a good 2-3 times a month and during the week not even weekends. Every time i shop here i have to dig through them!! To find a size i need or a color i need because people mix them all up but i never see it fixed :( It takes me a good 30-45min to find shirts through the mess.. i will say they do have a good variety i just wish it was more organized read more

I came here today, and although there was not an issue with my service specifically, I was saddened by the way a store clerk treated a family that was simultaneously checking out while I was also paying. There was a family who was clearly visiting from abroad, and did not understand English very well. When they were at the registers, the store employee was very rude and impatient with them, asking them aggressively whether or not "they were helped by a staff member as they were shopping". When they did not understand, the store clerk rolled her eyes, sighed very loudly to openly display her displeasure at the communication breakdown, and said "You know what? Whatever, it's not like you guys would understand anyways". When it came time to pay, this individual raised her voice and yelled: "CASH OR CARD? DO YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND OR NOT?". This is no way to treat anybody, let alone a customer, and I sincerely hope that this store clerk will try to be more accommodating to customers. read more

Great store and I had great service. I also went to the Berkeley Outlet store, and their selection was tiny and odd in comparison to the Livermore Outlet store. I've been to the Livermore store twice now and the only downside was there was a line to get into the store during the Christmas shopping season. I think I had to wait 45 minutes to get inside and shop, but I guess this is to be expected during the Christmas season. read more

I am so glad this place opened when I went to the outlet mall. I have always wanted to own some gear from The North Face but the prices are very high. This place definitely takes the price down significantly than the regular retail outlets. Make sure to go during the sale seasons. The only issue is the place is an absolute mess during those times. I've been able to get a pair of hiking shoes for $35 after tax, 3 in 1 jackets for 1/2 off, and a couple of other items that I never would have bought if I didn't get that type of a deal. read more
