We were able to pick up some bowls for our set. Prices are the same as online and regular store. The place was clean and organized. Plenty of parking on a weekday. This Crate & Barrel Outlet has a bit of a strange warehouse layout to it, but is organized very well and it definitely a step up from the Williams Sonoma outlet in Vacaville. The inventory here is seasonally dated (versus seconds or damaged) so you can expect quite a few items from the last couple holidays (think bat and candy cane drinkware) however it's all in great condition and there's large amounts of it, so it would be great for parties or weddings. The service was fairly nondescript and don't expect to see any higher quality brands like Le Creuset or Staub, but it's close to the other outlets so definitely worth a drop in if you're already in the area. read more

It's a must shop when passing through on 580 Inventory turns pretty quickly. Quality and discounts on furniture varies widely, but I like that they have enough space for a large range of furniture types. And as with most C&B outlets, plenty of plates, glasses, and other kitchenwares. read more

I was disappointed when the Crate and Barrel Outlet store on 4th St in Berkeley closed in 2018 after being there for nearly 30 years. While shopping in the Livermore area, we came across an Outlet store. This store is large with most of the floor space filled with furniture for the living room, dining room, bedroom, office and outdoor areas, rugs, wall art, mirrors and lighting. On this day, all the furniture was an additional 40 to 70% off. But most of the furniture have noticeable dings, scratches or dents. Granted they sell quality furniture, but given the condition, it is still pricey. Along the walls of the store, you can find bedding, table linen, glasses, dinnerware and small appliances. We miss the Berkeley store for the great prices they had on glassware and dinnerware. The pricing at this store does not offer the similar deals. Hence, it is not a destination place. Maybe stop by in the area and you might find something interesting. read more

I gave three stars mainly because of the rug section. They have a large selection of rugs in various sizes, including many large pieces that are unrolled and placed on the floor. some rugs appear to be dirty along the corners and edges, and a few show signs of damage. There are also rugs that are rolled, wrapped in plastic, and stored on shelves. However, if a rug is stored this way, it cannot be shown unless space allows, which makes it difficult for customers to view those pieces. I feel this limits sales, as most customers want to see a rug before purchasing it. One possible improvement would be to hang smaller, easy-to-handle rugs and create additional floor space for the larger ones, ideally placing them on wooden pallets so they remain elevated and clean. If you are willing to purchase a rug for $1,000 without checking it or a dirty one, then this is a good place for you. read more

I never knew there was Crate & Barrel outlet across from the Livermore outlets. Similar items in stock as the original store. Small discounts available. I checked out the entire store looking for nothing in particular. My sister found 2 Hunter green velvet pillows (perfect for the Holidays). I bought 1 stocking stuffer for Christmas. I found the spatula to replace the one I have lost. I also purchase 2 metal tongs to use for appetizers or what not. The one item that caught my eye was the blue velvet armchair. I wished that I could have brought the chair home with me! Suzanne was very helpful during checkout. I purchased a mug (made in Portugal). There were no signs or Indication that it was microwaveable or dishwasher safe. She offered to check their system what the specs were. I visit all lot.. it's probably more of a hobby than a necessity at this point. The staff is nothing short of wonderful. The deals seem to change seasonally and dependent on what's in stock. Now that they have social media up, it makes it a lot easier to keep up with what is available. I've gotten some pretty great deals, and always recommend this place to friends. The best deals require a bit of hunting, and waiting for the right sale, but most generally well priced after the advertised discounts. I would say the highlight is definitely the staff. They work hard and are super sweet. read more

It's a big space with the center occupied by furniture, which happened to be on sale for the week 30-40% off. I overheard that there's a new sale every Monday, announced on clapboards throughout the store. The soft furniture seem to be in better shape than dressers, consoles, and other wooden furniture. They appear pretty beat up. I dunno if anyone would pay upwards of $1.5k for. All furniture is sold as-is. You will need to coordinate your own delivery service. I would rather buy from a retail store and not have to worry about this. Along the perimeter are shelves lining the walls for Xmas decorations, textiles, and tableware. Turns out the pricing is not marked down unless indicated. Basically, they are retail prices you'll find on the website or any regular Crate & Barrel store. I've been meaning to check out this spot since the one on 4th St Berkeley closed for updated plates and bowls. I do love their style and seem to be of good quality. I got salad plates and matte low profile bowls for $5 and $8 each respectively. I guess there was a $0.34 set discount for each plate bc I purchased 8. read more

I miss the original here on fourth street in Berkeley. That was the best one. I could get stemware for 50 cents to $1.25, the other cups, bowls, etc. were equally cheap. I could also replace the missing piece instead of having to buy a box of six to eight glasses, plates, bowls, etc. But, this place isn't that. Their stemware on sale was $9.95 and while we got some stuff, a burr grinder and a kitchen aid add on, I could have found them for the same price elsewhere. This place is bigger, the people seemed nice and attentive. But it wouldn't be a destination like the fourth street store. And while they had sales of things, 20-30% off, it was still expensive so I'd rather spend that same money to get something closer to where I live. But if in the area, I may swing by. read more

Like everyone else, I miss the Berkeley Fourth St. location and prices of yesteryear, but this location retains one of the best parts of that outlet - June. A wonderful sales associate, she took the time to patiently help me yesterday, even as the Memorial Day weekend crowd had descended on the outlet in droves. She was so lovely and kind, calmly explaining and helping me apply for a store card so that I could save 20% on the day's purchase and 10% on future purchases. Five stars for June! read more

I. have shopped here many times and have always received stellar customer service. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, polite and always ready to help (especially Melody). I have read several reviews complaining about damaged furniture. My assumption is that this may be the reason those pieces are being sold at the outlet. Pieces I have bought had minimal damage, and many times damage was barely noticeable. If I liked a piece, but it was too damaged, I walked away. It is up to the customer how much damage you will accept for the savings. Don't come here thinking all pieces are perfect! It is an outlet store! And one of the best ones at which I have shopped. They don't try to pull the wool over your eyes. The customer has to know your own expectation of what you will accept. My savings have been WELL WORTH the small dings that were on the pieces I have bought. As well, I have bought pieces without any damage. Again, well worth being patient and persistent. Drove out here from the East Bay and was pretty happy. We ended up finding a desk that was discounted by just under $1,700. It has a few scratches and dings but nothing noticeable that wouldn't have happened anyway after a move or two. Customer service was excellent. It did get pretty busy as we were checking out (a long queue behind us) but overall fairly efficient. The only annoying thing was the difficulty of loading our furniture into the Lugg that we called - there were a couple of cars obviously not using the loading spots for actual loading. Other than that, worth checking out. Much better selection that the Pottery Barn outlet in Alameda. Decent set of couches, a handful of desks, and a lot of kitchenware. I can't say enough good things about this CB outlet location. Outstanding customer service from MJ and Joe. I've been to 3 of the 4 outlet locations in CA. (This one is my favorite) The Livermore location you will find more than a huge space with incredible selection. Here you'll encounter an interior design team that cares about your vision. I never once felt pressured or upsold. I felt like I could trust their professional opinion. Over the course of a few weeks I collected each piece for a fraction of the full price, be patient and diligent, they get a truckload of deals 3x week. I visited regularly and loved to share the progress of my living space with MJ, she seemed genuinely excited for how it all came together. I will say if you're making a large purchase, like we did, the credit card has really good rewards, take advantage of that value if you can. I'm not throwing shade but the Vacaville location was less than helpful, Livermore location was a breath of fresh air. Anyway, shoutout to the visionary MJ for her advice, my stylish ig worthy living room is forever indebted to her. Wow. This is definitely one of the better outlets I've been to in a very long time. After stopping at the outlets across the street for a quick purchase at Gucci, my husband and I decided to stop at Crate & Barrel. We are new homeowners (1 year), and we are slowly attempting to make our house a home. We loaded up on a few things from Crate and Barrel last year before hosting Thanksgiving, so I wanted to stop in and see what they had. What a treat! Fully stocked and great for lookers and hunters. They've got seasonal sections (fall, winter, spring, summer); if you want to stock up on holiday decor (i.e. Christmas) this would be a great place to start. Dishes, serving utensils, clocks, mirrors, lamps, furniture--OH MY. Their prices aren't THAT much cheaper, but if, for instance, you're looking for a specific lamp or knick-knack, I'd definitely come to check it out. I ended up purchasing some candles that I'd been wanting for some time, some bamboo salad utensils, and these great mugs I'd also wanted in the past. The day I visited all floral was an additional 25%. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by to see what you can find. read more

I'm going to write this review based on customer service. I see many reviewers don't like the prices of this outlet, or think the quality/cleanliness of the products are in question....but if you are in NorCal shopping outlets, I'm not sure how this one is any different than Pottery Barn Outlet in Alameda, West Elm, Crate & Barrel or Serena & Lily Outlets in Vacaville, or even RH & Williams Sonoma outlets in Pleasanton & Vacaville. I could go on and on about the prices of the RH outlets and the quality of their items....but like anywhere, there are gems to be had. You know what you're getting into with outlets. I've been here several times over the last year and I'm always greeted when I arrive, and always asked if I need help in the most appropriate, non-aggressive way possible. Then when I'm buying things, they never hesitate to help me find the least damaged (which is often not-at-all damaged) of the items I'm looking for. The manager is fantastic...he works hard to make the sale - but again not in an overly aggressive way. Yesterday (Sunday of Memorial Day weekend) we found an outdoor couch and as he was ringing us up he remembered the last time we were there (buying a dining table) and that I like to use my own credit card for points, so wasn't going to open the C&B credit card for 10%. However, this time there was a 20% promo going on to open the card, and it was a good amount of $$. I misunderstood the promo deal (ie I get the $$ for a later purchase), so after I signed up & understood, I told him I didn't want it any more. Let's just say he made it right. He still got a new credit card customer (& believe me, that's what C&B corporate wants LOL) but I got some additional value. Win-win. Excellent way to keep a customer. read more

I was looking for a good quality coffee maker and they did have great prices here compared to I think almost anywhere else. Cuisinart, Moccamaster, and Kitchen Aid all in stock... for those people where a $29 Walmart coffee maker won't due. I appreciated the flaw or reason for discount clearly on the label with the price tag. No nonsense or guessing game here. Pleasant shopping experience. As others have said, this is an outlet store but it's still pretty pricey. I drove up to see a couch and I agree that things are pretty dirty, especially any light colored furniture. Everything is sold as-is so make sure you check thoroughly for any damage. read more

I still get a little teary eyed about the closing of the 4th street location. And I have to admit that when this location opened, I did not love it. Fast forward to now and they have definitely stepped it up. There was much more furniture selection than before. Some items need cleaning but it is mainly because of customers putting their feet on lighter furniture (I watched). The sales associate was attentive (wish I would've caught her name) and stopped to answer a quick question without hesitation while helping someone else. We landed a toffee color custom leather couch that was a return. It was brand new with no imperfections. We also snagged a dining table with minimal scratches (they will be buffed out). All in all, if you know what you are looking for, are leery about purchasing sofas online and desire good quality furniture, they are worth a shot. read more

This is not an outlet. It's a Crate and Barrel store with items on sale. There's a lot of stuff that's only 10% - 15% off normal prices. Been a couple times and always underwhelmed by the prices. There's an "as is" section with visibly broken stuff for 40% - 50% off. Visibly broken like a ceramic canister that's been glued back together and you can see the glue and cracks. You can go to the West Elm or Pottery Barn outlets and get nice, unbroken stuff for 40% off. read more

I'm a huge Crate and Barrel fan and will often hit the store in Santana Row, so I was pretty excited when I heard there was going to be an outlet store. The prices aren't actually that much different from the their normal store which was a bit of a disappointment. They still have cool stuff, but a bit on the pricer side and this location is very limited in terms of what they have. It's actually a pretty large location, but it has a lot of dead space. Don't expect as much as I did and you will probably enjoy this place. read more

What a breath of fresh air! Suzanne and Dijana, the store managers, need to given the Emmys for their sheer patience and kindness. After scurrying back and forth to several Bay Area furniture stores in Walnut Creek, alameda, Pleasanton, over the last month, and having no luck, out of sheer desperation, we showed up here. We were not expecting any miracles. But the team here put there heads together to find us furniture in exemplary condition, and the whole experience was marvelous. If you are losing your mind from the lack of supply at most furniture stores, where folks on the floor couldn't be bothered to help you, come and say hello to Suzanne and Dijana. They were brilliant in their help, stopped everything else to actually listen to what we asked for and within minutes, we had firmed up the pieces we bought. I wish more retail sales folks took the time to listen and help to deliver beautiful customer experiences. Thank you for your help girls. I happened to be going into the new Ulta nearby when I noticed this store is now open. Didn't really know what to expect because I've never been to a Crate & Barrel Outlet store before. Unfortunately, I did not have my phone with me so I was unable to take any photos. I was pleasantly surprised upon walking into the store, not knowing if this was a Big Lots or flea market type of organization/placement. I found the layout nicely organized with the larger furniture to the left (sectionals/dresses/tables) and other kitchenware, dishes, etc off to the right on several rows of shelving. Pricing seems very reasonable and quality seems on par with typical C & B products. I also noticed they had many off-season items (such as Christmas & Thanksgiving stuff) too. Kari was very friendly in answering my questions and Julie at the front kindly gave me a Crate & Barrel catalog to take home. The outlet does not have printed catalogs but I'm told they have a clearance/outlet section on their website. I will certainly be back with my phone and measurements next time! read more

This store is ok - no huge discount or anything. It's ok to buy few items on sale. Pillow covers, bathroom mats etc are still very expensive. I went here couple of times to buy furniture. But, the long 1 hr drive to get here is totally not worth it. I was here yesterday after a 2 months gap and I still see the same furniture I saw last time - nothing new. Most of the sofas are dirty and very expensive ($1500 a $2000+). Chairs are not available in pairs. Sorry, I don't want to pay $1000+ for a single chair! Coffee tables are damaged & expensive! Definitely a nice place to stop by often since they seem to have new stuff come in weekly at least furniture wise. But overall a very nice place to browse or shop at. Plenty of stuff for in and around the house. The employees at least the few times here have all seem to be friendly and courteous. Inside has very very clean look to it. As stated above, the furniture close outs seems to happen weekly in terms of knocking down the price until it hits the "final" markdown price, but when the furniture comes in they knock it down half off, next week is 60% off and so on until the final markdown price. Even some of the furniture seems to have a somewhat quick turnover because the the cheap price. A very nice place to get some of your household needs from plates to furniture. read more

My husband and I found a dresser we liked so I went to ask the employee if we should pay now or pay after we finish shopping. She told us to rip off the top carbon copy of the tag and pay later since it would mean we are holding it. After we finished shopping, my husband noticed the dresser was gone. The employee told us they sold it to another customer, but that customer had shown them a screenshot of the tag instead which was not the correct protocol. What she told me to do was correct and they messed up by selling it to another customer. She even claimed she went to look for me which she didn't. The store is not that big! If you see something you want, pay first! Don't listen to the employees! read more

This store is definitely an outlet. It's all used, previously returned, dented, broken, open box, no box, over taped packages, & out of season merchandise sold at retail. Final sale stickers on everything. They obviously don't want their trash back either. read more
