I really appreciate my optometrist in Placerville but the cost of his frames and lens are more than I can afford. I took my prescription here and they were able to provide frames and lens at a very reasonable cost. I received my class for everyday use last friday and the progressions are amazing as well as the fit of the lens for me. The technicians are very nice and they do a great job offering you several options. You do need to call for when your orders are avaiable because they do ship your frames out to get the new lenses fitted. The selection is very good and what I really appreciate is that they are willing to take the time to answer any questions that you may have concerning your order. I will return here again. read more

I had never gotten prescription sunglasses before and I decided it was time to take the plunge. I'd always gone to Independant optometrist offices in the past to get an exam and a prescription, but have always been disappointed with the glasses selection. I found out that Target Optical has a doctor on site to do exams which I never knew. Dr. Wu gave me an eye exam and gave me my prescription, and then Christine and Kathy helped me pick out some Ray Bans. They were both so friendly and helpful, and made sure I got the biggest discount from my insurance. Definitely recommend!! read more

WOW!! All I can say is WOW!! I walked into EDH Target Optical after having a negative visit at a nearby unnamed franchise eyeglass store. I was immediately greeted by Christine and Jake and made to feel so comfortable and at ease. I've been wearing glasses my whole life and have a new prescription that includes bifocals! Christine was so thorough in explaining to me the transition process and the best ways to handle the adjustment to the progressive lenses. I've been very apprehensive about this new prescription and she put my fears at ease! Then she helped me in picking new frames both eyeglasses and sunglasses because I needed new prescription sunglasses as well. Her expertise in the frame department is phenomenal, I've never experienced such a great eyeglass buying experience and I've been wearing glasses for over 30 years. She was patient with me as I snapped a bunch of pictures to go home and show friends and family. I came back for a second visit to finalize my decision and again Christine guided me through the process. This time Cisco was working as well as Christine and he was so friendly and helpful with valuable input regarding the finalized frame selections as well as explaining the adjustment to the transition lenses. Then Cisco cleaned my existing glasses and tightened them up, when I walked out I felt like I actually had "new" glasses while I waited for my brand new glasses how cool is that?! I have optical insurance and opticians through my employer, but I prefer using Target optical, mainly due to their wonderful customer service. They even made suggestions to me about some sweet Versace frames which I didnt even know Target carried. I was super stoked to find out that they had a new Eye Doctor starting at their store on Thursday May 3rd and that they took my insurance. I made an appointment and gave all my information, including insurance. Then, I showed up for the appointment and had to give all my information again on a form. 30 minutes after my appointment time, I was finally seen. Upon choosing frames, I was asked all my information again, and then once more when I paid my insurance deductible. I waited three weeks and went to see if they were available. They were... they got my phone number wrong and left a message at the wrong number. I tried the glasses on and let the cashier know I couldn't see well out of them. She told me to just take them and go drive around. I have an old pair from before LASIK that I can see better out of. They're just ugly because they're from Basic Military Training. Guess I'll be wearing those until I can go some else for another eye exam next year. I have no interest in going back here and wasting my time again. Also, when I paid, they offered me the extra protection and said they were going to add it on at no cost. I said it wasn't necessary, but thanked them. They did it anyway, which I was grateful for BUT they charged me $35, which I didn't notice until I picked up my glasses and got home and reviews the receipt. I would have declined. read more

I've worn glasses as long as I can remember and have a very strong Rx. Dr Moos and her staff were nothing short of excellent and were easily the best vision care experience I have ever had. Despite my strong Rx I decided to take a chance and go with some fashion-forward RayBan frames. Dr Moos and her staff were candid and realistic with my expectations. The doctor was SO attentive and knowledgeable and friendly and the exam was EASY and efficient as can be. Then I went onto the glasses floor to pick my new frames and I cannot say enough about the care, consideration, friendliness, promptness, and intelligence possessed by Christine. It's been a great number of years since I purchased my last pair of eye glasses, so my expectations about buying glasses at Target, were somewhat jaded. I met with Christine at Target Optical in ElDorado Hills, and all that fear of being "up sold" into more expensive frames was tossed out the window! Christine's product knowledge, and excellent customer service were second to none. I was fortunate at the time of my visit to have her 100% attention as I was the only customer in the shop at the time, however, she fielded several phone calls and was equally as pleasant and knowledgeable on the phone with them.
