Pleasant experience- Dr. Le is quick, efficient, and thorough with a friendly demeanor. Explains things well and takes the time to listen. The optical store is also good- small, so there aren't just a ton of choices but what they have is a great selection. The lady helping me explained my insurance well and I was thankful for her honest opinion on which glasses looked good on me. Ran into this shop one afternoon with broken glasses and near blindness. Desperately needed to pop out my lens and put them in another frame - ANY FRAME that fit at that point. Actually, this is not that easy to do, but the two ladies there worked really hard to find me something fast and get me on my way. Who would have thought you could have an outstanding experience at an eye doctor through a Target?? Dr. Cuc Kim Le is the best eye doctor I have seen in at least 12 years and I'm so glad I found her! I guess I have to thank my old eye dr for not telling me they no longer take my insurance until the last minute or I never would have considered this. To be clear, this review is for the Flower Mound location, the Denton location was quite rude and unhelpful on the phone but speaking to Lynn on the phone was easy! She immediately confirmed my insurance coverage without me having to ask and gave me some great information! The parking lot and number of entrances makes this an easier trip than the Denton location as well. The office for the exam can only be entered from the outside, between the two large entrances to the Target. Dr. Le saw us on a Saturday and she does half hour appointments so my husband and I booked time from 12:30-1:30pm. You will need the entire half hour, she is very thorough. She also respects the appointment time! We were finishing up our paper work and someone arrived 25 min late and she had them reschedule so we didn't end up waiting! Let's talk about some of the ways Dr. Le blows my last two eye doctors out of the water! The biggest plus is that she triple checks the prescription, both stronger and weaker, so you will actually leave with the right prescription! No headaches, yay! Also, my last doctor would force me to return the following week to check the fit, just to ignore any concerns I had. Dr. Le immediately spotted that my last doctor who had changed my lens size had given me the wrong size and put me in a more comfortable fit. She even offered to help remove and insert them. She has a great bedside manner! The 'better or worse' test is a lot less stressful with her soothing voice. She asks questions, she also gives a color test, she doesn't bully you into dilation if you have to drive and she discusses your options with you! Like I said, you need that half hour but it will be the best eye exam and consultation you will have. Do you know that when I talked to my last eye doctor about the new contact prescription making it difficult to focus around bright lights, he told me not to look at bright lights??? Dr. Le really was wonderful and listened to my concerns! She was also great with my husband who hadn't been to an eye exam in over a decade and was anxious about the puff of air test. Now, when you get your prescription, you will go inside to the retail optical center. I was able to get my year supply of contacts much faster and much cheaper than I had at my last 2 places I went. I was really impressed. This was my husband's first time trying glasses (lucky bastard had perfect vision for 40 years!) and Ashley was so helpful pointing out things to watch for and consulting on strong material that can keep up with his rugged lifestyle. She also patiently answered my questions comparing prescription glasses to sunglass prescriptions to transition lenses. She helped us make the right decision and I felt really confident about our purchase! I didn't end up getting glasses this time around, but when I decide I want some, I will be coming here and not just because they have my prescription on file! They are very reasonably priced in comparison to other locations and their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their selection is fairly large though I would have appreciated a few more generic brands to balance out all the designer brands they offered. Even so, several of my choices were in the $60-90 range before I even checked the prices. They have sales, promotions and items on clearance so there are ways to make the trip cheaper. I also appreciated that they threw in several free boxes of contact solution! I wouldn't recommend coming here when you have nothing else to do. Ashley and Lynn made the entire experience pleasant but they were both quite busy between the phone, the people coming in and doing the work on the glasses. When we arrived, the two women that were already there said they would do some shopping and come back before check out. That seemed pretty smart. We didn't have to wait and the weekdays may have more staff, but just be prepared. It's worth the wait anyway so you can be confident in your purchase- it's your vision! You have to be able to see properly and be comfortable with your purchase! We'll be back in a few days for my husband to try on his glasses and get them adjusted if necessary. They offer both phone calls and texting to inform you when you can come in. We may be back a few days later if my husband breaks them, lol, but for $25 they have a 15 month warranty so they'll fix it for free when he inevitably does! Then, I will be sure we come here for our eye exam next year and see Dr. Le! Thanks to Dr. Le, Ashley and Lynn for making this such a painless experience and getting us what we actually need! Didn't get my eyes checked here, but I decided to order my contacts and glasses from here. The staff was amazing, shout out to Jenny and Rebecca for all their help. As most doctors' handwriting is atrocious, Rebecca double checked my prescription with my doctor to ensure everything was in order.
