I wasn't expecting to buy a pair of glasses on this day and was just plan on getting an appointment. I walked in without an appointment and was accommodated without any hesitant. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly and professional. The staff understood exactly what I was looking for and the first pair of glasses was spot on. She definitely understood the assignment. I love my Celine . I highly recommend this place for your next pair of glasses. I definitely expect exceptional customer service and this place brings it Thank you guys for getting my Rx correct the first time around.

To my surprise, Dr. Mazaheri called me and spoke to me for about 30 minutes. THE ACTUAL SURGEON CALLED ME!!! I went in for my initial consultation. Everyone was so friendly. The office manager spent about 20 minutes with me and explained everything. Dr. Mazaheri then came in and spoke with me for quite a while. The customer service was amazing. Every member of the staff was so informative. I had called around to many LASIK practitioners. I did my research. I decided to go with the flapless LASIK. My appointment was scheduled for 11/8/19. The procedure was painless and quick! The doctor checked , double checked, and triple checked everything. At no time did I experience any pain or anxiety. The doctor worked on my right eye first. He moved me from under the laser, and I could see!!!!! For the first time since I'm 41 years, I could see with out corrective lenses!!!! I immediately told him to do the left eye!!! It was AMAZING! I went home with extremely detailed instructions for after-care. Nothing was overlooked. I went in the next day for a quick check. I had followed directions explicitly. I experience NO PAIN! My vision improved more each day. I was watching TV without glasses!!!! I am in heaven. 5 days after surgery, I went to my appointment where the doctor removed the protective contact lenses. It was quick, simple, and painless. I have told all of my friends that they MUST go see Dr. Mazaheri for this surgery. Modern medicine is amazing. More importantly, Dr. Mazaheri and his staff are superb at their jobs and take such good care of their patients. I am forever in Dr. Mazaheri's debt.

It has been over four months since my surgery, and I could not be more pleased with the results…read more Dr. M and his staff made this a great experience for me. I would like to share my story and background if my history relates to other prospects considering the PRK procedure. I am a 40-year-old male, and before my surgery, my prescription was -4.25/-4.50 with a slight/mild astigmatism in both eyes. I started needing glasses at the age of 12 and I was in contacts by 13. About 5 years ago, I started noticing the discomfort of wearing contacts on a daily basis. I would come home from work, and immediately take them out, if I had no plans that evening. I also have extremely dry eyes, and usually use re-wetting drops frequently. I have always found glasses to be a nuisance, and wearing them for long periods of time gave me a headache. My goal was to get Lasik by the time I turned 40. I priced out the surgery with several surgeons in the D/FW metro-plex, including my optometrist, and I found the PRK procedure to be rather competitive to the traditional Lasik procedure, so I decided to make an appointment with Dr. M./M Lasik Center since there was no fee for the consultation. (I ended up paying about $200 more than what my eye doctor quoted me, based on my prescription, and considering my astigmatisms.) Halfway through the consultation, I already knew I had decided that this is the route I wanted to go. Dr. M. encouraged me to do my research first before making a solid decision, but I was already sold. During the consultation, Dr. M. has you watch a video of his competitor (a local Lasik surgeon) that had Dr. M. perform the PRK procedure on all 5 of her children. There's really not much more that needed to be said at that point. I have heard stories about how many Lasik patients feel like cattle during their procedure, as other institutions perform this procedure in droves. At M Lasik Center, there's only one procedure at a time, and Dr. M. performed it himself, with his nurse in the room to assist him. After the procedure, I was taken into a post-recovery room, where I was the only one in there. I felt like I was the only patient that day, and cannot relate to other stories that I have heard. Post-surgery: I did have a lot of headaches and I was overly fatigued, but that was due to the fact that my eyes were sensitive to the steroid drops given, which is rare, but in my case, it happened. I do keep my eyes moistened throughout the day, as post-PRK patients need to since the eyes can be dry for 6-12 months after surgery. The headaches are due to your eyes trying to adjust to their new setting, and that does not recalibrate overnight. Just be patient and understand that it is part of the process. If you don't choose M Lasik Center, you should at least consider the free consultation. If you do choose Dr. M., just remember that the PRK procedure is different than the traditional Lasik procedure. Do NOT listen to your friends or others that have had the traditional Lasik procedure, because you might hear some conflicting information. Pay attention to Dr. M. and follow every instruction he gives. It can be scary and you probably will be nervous, but you are in great hands and within a couple of months after the surgery, your only regrets will be that you didn't do this sooner.

The real issue was optical prescription. I took it to Costco to make lens. Upon receiving the new lens, my vision became a lot worse because my left eye could barely see anything. Opticians at Costco suggested me to go back to Key Whitman for an re-exam. The second time I had the same lady (not sure if she was a licensed optometrist). The exam equipment was ill prepared. The chart was not even in the center of my view. We struggled a lot with the machine to get through the exam. I took the new prescription to Costco. The optician saw the results and told me that it was impossible that two exams would yield such different results within 10 days timeframe. They strongly suggested me to get a second opinion from another optometrist. I later went to a new independent optometrist office, paid exam fee to get a new exam. This time, I noticed that in this other optometrist office, the service and equipment were day and night comparing to those at Key Whitman Allen office. Now I am wearing the new lens from the latest eye prescription and cannot be more happy with it.

I was given the option of getting the SMILE procedure where both eyes…read morewould be equal even though I might require "readers" sooner or later or have the procedure of getting one eye set for far away and the other for near. I opted for SMILE because I didn't care if I needed readers eventually or even from day 1. For 49 years I've never been able to see far away, That's literally all I wanted. Combine that with the fact I'm left handed/dominate, I knew doing 1 eye far/1 close was simply not going to work. If that was my only option, I would have stayed with glasses/contacts. When I went through the exam and they dialed in what my eyes should be after the procedure, I could have cried. Not only could I see/read the bottom line of the chart, I could make out the lines around the letters. Both eyes. The best I've ever seen in my life. To be honest, they could have doubled the price and I would have figured out a way to pay for it. Now the bad. Every post-op exam they would ask what procedure was I having. I would say the SMILE procedure, which would illicit a pause until I would add, both eyes the same. I should have questioned things then but I did not. They are professionals and if their chart is different, they would ask or talk to the doctor, things would be clarified? Right? I guess not. Day of procedure, they put the drops in my eyes so I couldn't see and the person leading me to the op room asked what procedure I was having. I said SMILE, there was yet another pause (couldn't see it but could hear it) so I added, both eyes the same. Something was written on a tag and stuck to my shirt (ask for that BEFORE the drops so you know for sure they write the correct procedure). Because I didn't speak up, I take partial responsibility, hence 2 stars and not 1. The actual procedure was smooth, relaxing and I didn't feel a thing. Aside from my vision, the only drawback on the whole procedure was my massive dry eyes (not their fault at all as they said it could happen) and gall of the makers of xiidra for selling the most expensive liquid in the world ($700 for 30 small vials). That stuff burned my eyes like I was swimming in a massively chlorine dosed pool. I only used it for a few days before I went back to the regular drops. $700 wasted but nothing to do with the 2 stars. Every post-op exam, I would explain my left eye is seriously lagging and is it possible they didn't perform the SMILE procedure? It was always brushed off as "it's still healing and might catch up". At this point, my left eye (the one they made see close) feels heavy because it's fighting to be the dominate eye, my right/far vision eye isn't as clear as the pre-op exam. During my last exam, I explained the most unsettling part is when driving at night, I can't read street signs until I'm right up on the sign. I told them I really needed a glasses prescription because I can't live this way. They never admitted I didn't receive the SMILE procedure and was happy to give me a glasses prescription. Ultimately I was told because my left eye "didn't heal as they would liked", I was eligible to have that eye corrected for the discounted price of $999. In my mind, I was thinking, an extra grand to get the procedure I thought I was getting from the start? Why not just do what everyone agreed upon and raise the price a grand? Before the DR left the room, I knew I would be going elsewhere eventually and was starting to work out how long it would take me to pay for another procedure (I'm not rich and my eye insurances pays $0.00. My heath insurance did pay all but $60 of the most expensive liquid in the world, so that was nice). The reason why I decided to write a review, is the glasses prescription. I use that to buy glasses at 2 different online stores. One regular pair and 1 sunglasses. Both are off. Mind you, I've worn glasses/contacts my whole life and have ordered both off the internet since that was a thing. Glasses prescriptions are easy to enter. My vision in both is pretty good as long as I'm looking directly out of the middle of the lens or upward. Looking down/down left/right and not so great. If both glasses came from the same company, maybe their fault. Coming from 2 different companies and well... That is what has prompted this long review. I have since known a two people who had lasik after me, both asked about my experience and if I would recommend where I went. I told them the procedure is no big deal. As far as where to have it done, I don't know, let me know. I'll be going to one of their DR's to get my left eye fixed. Sad I'll miss that massive "discount" rate of an extra $999 but oh well.

Just had my SMILE laser eye surgery, everything went really well. I'm really happy with the staff…read moreand doctors they are very l knowledgeable. I did my research and asked questions and everyone was very helpful and I'm glad to have done the procedure.
