I've needed glasses/contacts since the mid-1980's, so I've seen a lot of eye doctors. And this place is by far the best doctor and glasses service I have ever had. I stopped in Wednesday 10/7/20 to ask a question and Brooke saved the day! I hadn't worn glasses in about 15 years, but after having several allergic reactions in freakin 2020 that impacted my vision, it seemed like a good idea to have a current pair on hand. I had just received my new glasses from another location that Saturday and they were so blurry they made me nauseous. When talking to the doctor's office they told me to go back to the original location and have the prescription checked on one of their machines before scheduling another appointment. I figured it was unlikely the lab made the glasses incorrectly and more likely I wasn't accurate during the eye exam, lol. Due to a crazy schedule, I wasn't going to make it back before the weekend, but I remembered this one was super close to work and stopped in on my way to an appointment. I just wanted to ask if there was a fee for them to check the prescription and if it took long so I could figure out my game plan going forward. Brooke immediately put me at ease and said she could check on it right then and there for no charge. She checked 4 times and low and behold, the glasses were made with the wrong prescription in one eye. She was very thorough in checking the glasses and asking how they impacted each eye. I thanked her for the answers and intended on returning to the location that originally did the work. However, Brooke offered to save me time by getting the work order from the original store and then facilitating the fixes from there! This Visionworks wasn't involved in the mistake at all, but volunteered to take on the additional work! This was so convenient as I cannot make it to the one in Denton during their weekday hours, and this one is easier to stop in if I have a few spare minutes at work. Brooke was extremely sweet and helpful. She not only arranged things with the Denton store, she called me later to give me the status update and peace of mind. She told me it would be a max of 2 weeks and she was right, I got a text exactly a week later. I was unable to stop by that day and completely forgot the next so while in a rush, I picked up the glasses Friday and it was super fast. In fact, I'm still trying to pin down the right prescription with the optometrist so I have been back several more times to adjust in the last 2 months. Each time the drop off is quick and easy, they have it back a week earlier than expected and pick up is convenient. They are very consistent! While Brooke has been my favorite person to deal with, the other staff I have come into contact with have been polite. I appreciate that this company stands behind the work and your satisfaction and do not nickel and dime you. In fact, they often have sales and if you purchase glasses- the next pair within a certain time frame is half off. They have a nice cleaner pack for $7.99, a wide variety of cases and a website where you can view brands for both glasses and contacts (which I find less overwhelming than walking a huge store of selections). The store has always been very clean, including the restrooms. They do temperature checks, require masks and ask you to use their hand sanitizer. They also do a good job of keeping the consulting stations far apart. I recommend this particular location over others, and definitely recommend Brooke! read more

I always get my glasses here. Not exactly out of loyalty just a creature of habit. The place isn't too nice. Usually only 2 people so wait can be a while. Not the most friendly staff in the world but hey I am not the most friendly of customers. Have a pretty wide selection at lots of price ranges which is nice for a cheap chick like me. Could use more mirrors. My vanity was not satisfied sometimes having to walk a little ways to see how dope I looked rather than just needed to turn whichever way. read more

I've been here twice over the past three years and have always received excellent service. What is most important to me is the fit and function of my glasses. What good are glasses that look amazing if you can't see out of them? The only reason I mention it is because at the two previous establishments the glasses they created were frustrating to use. They were either off centered or had other poor optical qualities. Not so with Visionworks. The first pair they made for me is hands down the best pair of glasses I've ever owned. The only reason I replaced them was due to my eyes aging and wanting to update my 'look' as well. This place can get busy so allow a little extra time at peak hours like lunch and afternoon. read more

My husband purchased a pair of glasses online that he really liked. He called this store to see about them supplying the lenses for them. Even though we waited until the last possible day (December 31) to file a claim on our insurance before his benefits were lost for the year. The salesperson was very understanding of the situation with us purchasing the frames online and that our eye doctor was 2,200 miles away in another state. The only issue we had was the fact that our insurance is handled through medical insurance instead of a vision insurance plan and Visionworks is only able to direct file through vision plans directly. The lack of directly filing a claim on our medical insurance made it where we had to pay Visionworks upfront and seek reimbursement ourselves from our insurance company. With such a large company they should be able to file a claim in whatever way the policy is written instead of one way only. Had we not waited until the last day of our current year coverage we would have looked around for a place that was willing to file on our medical insurance directly. read more

I purchased glasses and sun glasses. The prescription of the sunglasses never got right. After 3 tries I took them back today for a return. Lucrecia is very nice and professional. When she ran the return the register froze. She had to get the manager, Matt. Two words to describe him...hot head. He was so mad, never spoke, very unprofessional. He stomped from register to register trying to get it to go through. I dealt with him one other time trying to fix my glasses and the experience was the same. That day I gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking he was having a bad day. After today's experience....he's rude! Why is he a manager??? I feel really bad for the people that work for him. absolutely the worst experience. We have had nothing but trouble with these people. We have had our glasses made at other Vision works stores with no problems. But not here. I will never step foot in this store again. The manager is arrogant and talk down to my wife. She took her glasses back 3x and they never could get them right. I took my glasses back one time. They fixed the problem with the progressive lenses but when I got them back they will not transition in the sun light like I paid for. We have lost all confidence with these people. read more

WOW! The man that helped me loved what he does, and does it well! He was very professional and patient when I was picking between 6 pairs of glasses. I didn't have my prescription with me, but he did everything they could until I did. I went in on a Friday and I called in my prescription 9:30am on Monday, and BOTH of my glasses were done by 4:00pm that same day! Great experience with great workers.
