I went to the Target Optical, located inside the Target in 5100 E. Highway 100, Palm Coast, Florida, to get an eye exam to purchase a new pair of glasses. I was extremely satisfied with the staff, service and the glasses that I purchased. They have a nice selection and reasonable prices. Staff: Ms. Henny Hatherton, Mr. Jim Allen, Ms. Jennifer Hartman, and Dr. Natalie Findlater were attentive, friendly and quick. They work well together to ensure that you are in and out of the store. I love my glasses. My husband on the other hand had an issue with the transition, and was told that an exchange is not a problem. Three weeks laters he revived a new pair of glasses. Service: Excellent & professional service. Will definitely return next year, and I do recommend purchasing your glasses at the Target Optimal. read more

I had eyeglasses (only) made by the Palm Coast Optical Department in 2022, and they then initiated a claim for frames this year, 2023, even though I did not visit their Optical Department this year. I found this out when I went to order frames elsewhere, after getting a new prescription at the Eye Dr.'s Office in another state, 750 miles away. My wife had an eye exam done there (in 2022) and did not discuss, pick out, or sit down with them about purchasing frames there. When she found frames elsewhere, they were not able to fill the order, as the doctor did not sign the prescription, requiring her to return and have the form signed, not once, but twice, with days in between before the doctor would be available to sign the prescription. She then went back to the different retailer to purchase her frames only to find out that Target Optical had initiated a claim against her insurance for frames, even though she never gave them any indication that she would purchase frames from them. She was again unable to get her order filled, had to yet again, and had to contact Target Optical. Target Optical was then slow to get the claim released, requiring my wife to call he Insurance company. The insurance company explained that if she was cancelling a valid claim she would be guilty of Fraud. She explained the the FRAUD was completely on the part of Target Optical !!!!!!! It took 2 months, 3 visits to Target, 2 visits to the (new) retailer and 3 phone calls to get them to comply (2 to Target and 1 to the Ins. Co.). We will never, ever use Target Optical again and I am turning them into the fraud department of my insurance. Target offered little in the way of any apology to my wife for the months of aggravation and the many, many miles driven to correct the situation. Truly the BEST!!! My honest opinion - If you are looking for professional extra care and attention from your eye doctor, Target Optical is the place for you. Doctor is FANTASTIC!!! He is very caring and doese an amazing thorough job performing the exam. Target Optical has a great selection of designer's eyewear, not overpriced plus an awesome ongoing promotions! The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and patient. They are an absolute pleasure to work with! I could not be happier with service I and my mom received!!! Visiting Palm Coast for a few days when I tore a contact lense. Went to Target hoping to get a quick replacement. Was greeted by a super friendly employee named Jim Allen, I explained my situation and he was ready and eager to help. After getting my rx it was explained it could take up to five days to get new contacts and I'd have to get a six month supply. This wasn't going to help as I would be leaving in the next three days. Jim, super understanding and concerned went to the back to ask if he could give me "trial" lenses. Not but a couple of minutes later, a smiling Jim came from the back with two pairs of trial lenses and a bottle of contact lense solution!!! I was so grateful and my vacation was saved!!! I had never considered getting glasses at a department store like Target, but have to admit that it was worth it. They have an optometrist to do the exam who I felt was competent. At 69 I've had my share of eye exams, so know what to expect. The frame selection isn't the biggest, but I was able to find something that suited me. They delivered the glasses within the 7-10 days promised. I had to go back twice because it seemed the reading correction had a problem. Both times I was treated with courtesy and expertise. I'm told that if the problem continues, I have 90 days to make it right. So far, so good. I think we fixed it now. read more

Absolute Terrible service. I made my appointment 2 weeks ago and confirmed my insurance and everything. They had all of my information. I come in 5-10 minutes early for my appointment. They don't even acknowledge me for a long time. Then they ask me if I have an appointment, sit me down and tell me to fill out the paperwork, ok fine. Then they can't pull up my insurance information for some reason? I don't have it on me so I "phone a friend" who happens to be the insurance subscriber to give me the information. My phone is about to die so they are going to call into the eye center to give it to them. Great. They had to call 3. Times. No one would pick up the phone. I finally had to ASK them to answer their phone. They finally after some difficulty figure out how to do so. Then while on the phone for almost 10 minutes they tell them also that they cannot pull up the information and they are sorry but there's nothing they can do. When 2 weeks ago they had it? So now after an hour of being in this place I LEAVE. With no eye exam. So, thank you target optical, I missed my dinner plans and still have not had an eye exam. Will never go back. read more
