This review is actually for the next door eye doctor office: Dr. Kristine-Hue Van and Associates,…read moreInc. I am actually on much better insurance this year and made it a priority to get my health and eyes checked. I'm also in desperate need of getting new glasses since it has been about a good 2-3 years since my last eye check up. I actually had a free lunch period and decided to see if they were accepting walk-ins. Parking can be a pain, especially during the crazy lunch rush (it's by Chopt Salad). - The website is pretty easy to use as well, but I wasn't sure of my available time for the week so just walked in. It was pretty quick doing the paperwork and I waited for about 30 mins before getting my eyes checked. Afterwards, I went to the exam room with Dr. Robert Galban to complete my glasses/contacts prescription. I really like how this office is handled. Dr. Galban was very informative on how he was examining my eyes and even showed me my results of my eyes. (It's times like this when you're glad that it's a "boring" exam - I only just meant that I was in the clear! haha). Overall, the experience was pretty good for a walk-in appointment. I only have to do a week follow up on my contacts to make sure that it feels like the right prescription. I really like how the office worked and how they want to make sure that the client is happy with their prescriptions. All the staffs were friendly and very helpful with any questions that I had. I will be definitely staying with them! Thanks for helping me see clear!

Great work environment. I came in on a Saturday & was greeted by every Associate working this day…read more They were funny, welcoming, and friendly. The service was quick and the Doctor was very informative with my eye exam update. I always liked this location due to the area (tons of shopping) and the service. They have a huge parking lot. This area is very clean and well organized. I love they have the buy 2 for $89 deal. Very good option since I get 2 pair a year!!! I had no issues with my appointment and or pick up even with the delay due to snow storm. Very good store overall. The ladies were very great!

I scheduled an eye exam for contacts and that process was really easy. When I showed up, everything…read morewent really smoothly. Unfortunately, they didn't have contacts in my prescription in the store, so they ordered some trials for me. The doctor decided to order me two trial pairs of contacts: one that was cheaper but was only close to my actual prescription, and one that is much more expensive but would be my actual prescription. Strangely, at the time of my appointment, they gave me a pair of contacts, each from different brands, neither of which was my correct prescription. Both of my trial pairs arrived around the same time, so I picked them up together. It turned out that one of the contacts ordered for me (the left contact from the more expensive brand) was entirely the wrong prescription and didn't work for me at all. I ended up having to wear the left contact from the cheaper brand and the right contact from the more expensive brand. The next week, they called me to let me know that another pur of trial contacts had arrived, which surprised me. I went in and it was a new pair of the expensive brand, both different prescriptions (power AND astigmatism correction) than the other pair from that brand. None of the trials worked particularly well, so I called them again to make another appt. Again, that process was super quick and easy and everyone I talked to throughout the process was super helpful. I haven't had that follow-up appointment yet, so I may update this later. But for now, I'm mostly happily with my experience here and would recommend them to other people. Edit: I had my follow-up appointment for my contacts. The doctor cleared up the mistake with my trial contacts and ordered a couple more to try to find something that works well for me (because my astigmatism is super high and my eyes are picky, not because she did anything wrong the first time). I was not charged for the follow-up contact lens appointment. Overall still very happy with this place.

I had one of the most frustrating experiences ever with this store…read more Two months ago, I brought in my own eyeglass frame (barely worn) to have lenses fitted. After waiting more than two weeks with no update, I called to check, and only then did they tell me my glasses were ready. When I picked them up, the prescription was completely wrong, so I had to redo the exam and order again. This second attempt was even worse. After another month of waiting--and multiple calls where the staff gave me confusing or evasive answers--they finally admitted that my glasses had been lost in transit. When I went to the store for a solution, here were my options: 1. Choose a replacement frame. At first, one staff member told me I could pick any frame from the wall. Then another restricted me to only the $129 section, and if I wanted something better, I'd have to pay extra. This made no sense--my original frame was higher quality and definitely not plastic, and it was their fault it got lost. Why should my choice be limited because of their mistake? 2. Request a refund. But not immediately. I'd have to wait until the manager came back from vacation to approve it. And given they already lost my glasses, I had no confidence they wouldn't "lose" the refund check too. The excuse was that it wasn't the store's fault but "the lab's" fault--as if that makes a difference to the customer. 3. Wait for the manager. The staff said they couldn't make decisions without her, and they refused to call her because she was on vacation. A store of this size with no backup system or delegated authority? Completely unprofessional. Bottom line: They took my money upfront, wasted months of my time, lost my property, and then made me wait even longer for a half-baked solution. Customers should not have to sacrifice their time because of the store's mistakes. If you want fast, reliable service, and accountability when things go wrong--this is not the place.

I've been wearing glasses for 20 years and the for the time ever, my glasses broke! Luckily, when I…read morevisited there was only one other customer in the store. Mr. Harold quickly offered to assist me, assessed whether my glasses could be repaired (they could not), and let me know my payment options. He was extremely patient and thorough when explaining the benefits of paying out of pocket rather than using my insurance since I was due for another eye exam in a few months. Luckily, I was able to get the exact same style of glasses and use my same lenses. I am only docking one star because of the cumbersome checkout process where, with their new payment system, Mr. Harold and his coworker tried over 4 times to remove the taxes from my purchase, to no avail. Nevertheless, I appreciate the customer service I received and the frequent updates from Mr. Harold since my glasses was taking longer than he intended to repair.

Tbis was my second,, and "second chance" isn't for my annual eye exam…read more. My appointment was for 4:30pm. I was at my appointment on time, before 4:30pm actually.  I waited no less that 25 minutes before I was acknowledged.  No one was at the reception desk, but I could hear two people talking. I sat and waited. Two people entered the office, both worked there. One sat at the front desk and the other was apparantly a tech of some sort. After completing paperwork, I was escorted to a small room for pre-screening. My screening exam was interrupted so that an exam room for a different patient could be set up. Once that resumed and then was complete, I was again made to wait in the hallway. By now it was 5:30pm. I was given an excuse that some little children were there and that is what was taking time. Those little children arrived well after I was there, during my screeningexam, in fact.  Because of time constraints I had no choice but to leave early. When I left I said I was leaving and neither of the two employees up front said 1 word to me. I know Dr Tabe is a capable doctor, but the last time I was there, I was there for over 3 hours! That was unacceptable.  I also understand during these covid times that staffing is a problem for many establishments.  I have NEVER had this type of experience at any provider.  I will not be returning or rescheduling anything there.
