This target has gone downhill so much. This place used to be my favorite place to go for daily needs but every time I go I get some bitch ass attitude from some employee. Earlier today just bought some cotton swabs at the self check out and the dude in charge of that area didnt let me go until he checked my receipt. Took forever checking two items. That's a first. How come you didnt check other people's receipts? Why mine specifically? I go to the self check out to get out quick. Time is valuable. Another guy gave me attitude as soon as he saw me carrying alcohol to the cashier, telling me "you know they're gonna check you for id!". Like dude what the fuck is your problem? No shit dumbass. Nice store, clean and well organize but they need to step up on those check out counter. During a busy hours (evening weekdays/ all day weekend) they need to provide more cashiers otherwise the lines would be ridiculously long. According to the mostly positive reviews here I think I must just be getting severely unlucky with this Target location. EVERY time I go it manages to consistently be a nightmare. First off, it's a mess. I will totally give credit where credit is due - It's gotten much, much better since the recent remodel. My husband and I come from Minnesota where Target corporate calls home. The Target stores there are immaculately kept and rightly so with possible surprise visits from corporate. So maybe we were spoiled but prior to remodel, we'd come to this location in the afternoon on our days off and already and the aisles were a mess! Toy aisle - dolls were knocked over, toys were actually laying in the aisle. Shoes - don't even get me started. Seasonal - Shelves were not straightened at all and were cluttered with various other items customers decided they didn't want and abandoned. Clearance ends were packed on and over flowing and if you dared to grab one item, about three others came tumbling off the shelf. This was not pleasing to the eye but it doesn't "make or break" a store for me. I think what consistently makes this store such a pain for my husband and I is the customer service. This is where this store really fails. Even with the nice, brand spanking new remodel, this store manages to only have one to two checkout lanes open with a line of about six or seven customers angrily awaiting at each. I've even been there during the morning/early afternoon hours hoping against all hope that they'd have more lanes open. Nope! I don't think I've EVER seen an express lane open in the 6 months we've shopped here. The worst was my last visit there when I went in there for a can of soup and there was only ONE lane open at 12:30 in the afternoon! Another lane I guess was open but didn't have it's light on. One customer, a lady, got pissed and openly yelled, "Could you call for back-up cashiers PLEASE?!" to the manager and sort of took charge. Lastly, the employees I have dealt with are not pleasant at all. I understand that it's probably a part-time job for them and they hear the dumbest complaints from customers but come on! I don't expect them to roll out the red carpet for me and kiss my hand but would a a simple acknowledgment or a "Hello!" and "Have a nice day" with a little smile kill anyone? When I came for that can of soup, the girl was so busy giggling and messing around with her coworker and dropping customer left items all over the floor that I stood there for about 3 minutes, patiently waiting for her to ring up ONE CAN OF SOUP! ...Really? I paid with cash so in reality it would have taken probably thirty seconds to a minute to just ring up the darn soup ! I could go on with the horrible employee interactions we've suffered at this location but I think this is long enough as it is. It's a matter of convenience for us that we keep visiting this location but with consistently bad customer service and long lines, I have to plead with my husband to go to the Whittier location. Perhaps we'll try West Covina instead. This Target got an overhaul which was good, now your employees need a serious attitude check. I wish we had better visits with this store because it's so close but as it stands now? I think I would rather enjoy beating myself in the head repeatedly with a frying pan rather than shopping here. read more

This review is based solely on the one employee that I interacted with (or didn't interact with) at the cash wrap. Her name is Ebony and she was working the express lane. I had 3 items, walked up, she scanned it, bagged my items, and handed me my receipt. No words were spoken, not even a "hi how are you today?" Or a "thanks come again." So as I turned around I said "thanks have a good day!" And that's when she decided to reply back with the same words. My "thanks have a good day" was filled with sarcasm. Our cashier was too busy talking to her coworker and could not be bothered to say hello, thank you or good-bye much less hand us our purchases. Not all Target are created equal. This Target, located in the City of Industry is, my neighborhood Target. I've definitely been to nicer, more organized TarJays, but this one is not horrible since they've remodeled the place so this store now also sells grocery, which I think brings more convenience to the consumers. A lot of the c/c machines are broken; This one cashier snapped at me once because I was confused when she asked me to sign the c/c receipt (an actual receipt on paper) w/ the pen they'd use on the cc machine...?? I hesitated and she snapped at me and said "You can use this pen to sign" Not to mention she sounded like she was really sick. I wondered if she should even be at work that day??? I am just happy she did not get me sick. The bathrooms are generally okay but never too clean. The bathroom reminds me of the bathroom you'd find at a local Walmart (not cool) Check out the one in West Covina. That one is MUCH nicer than this one. read more

I stopped by this Target while waiting for a friend to meet me for dinner on a Sunday night around 7 pm. Granted it's Sunday night, so the weekend rush has left this place a mess! Many of the shelves were there are "deals" and "mark-downs" were left in complete chaos. What really got me though, was that they were completely out of gum by the registers. It's hard for me to fathom that. But it was true. And I really wanted some gum! The clothes area was kept up nicely. I didn't go in the bathroom, but I can bet money that is was a mess. The cashier was ok, but someone came to break her - then left right when she was finished ringing me out. Which in turn made her shout to him about breaking her. read more

I would have LOVED to give this store a higher rating but there were to major flaws that any manager should be aware of. First, the bathrooms were god awful atrocious. Think rest stop bad, tissue everywhere, toilets that were not fit for anything to use, and sticky who knows what on the floor. Second, there was no on in customer service to inform that the bathroom was out of pocket and needed attention ASAP. Why bother putting a sign up pledging to keep a bathroom clean (even add a handy chart and checklist which informs you that the bathroom hadn't been checked on in over 5 hours) and then encourage a patron to visit the customer service desk and have NO ONE there? Aside from a trifling bathroom, the store was pretty neat and organized, and the attendant at the fitting room was a smiling sweet young woman who was helpful. The areas I visited had a great selection, (we were in toys, baby clothes, and maternity, areas that normally look like hell suit for murder). And when we checked out, the cashier was also friendly and helpful. I'd visit again, but I'd be VERY reluctant to use their bathroom and if I'm not 9 months pregnant proabably so indignant I'd hunt ANY manager down to let them know. And while I considered that I could have caught them at a bad time, I had to return to the store TWO HOURS later for something we forgot and had to go again, and it STILL hadn't been addressed. Methinks their janitorial staff needs to step up their A game. read more

I love their curbside free pickup service. And I get 5% off using my Target Red Card credit card. My only complaint is that there are a few items not included in their pick up service like groceries. Anyway, using their Target app, you can tell them you are coming and when you get there, you can choose "I'm Here." And they are prompt too. read more

This Target has an exceptional employee named Dominic he is the most awesome most valuable person they have working there I had contacted several Target stores looking for an item and got bad customer service and they just didn't want to waste their time helping you Dominic on the other hand provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond to help me I honestly appreciate him and I hope Target gives him a raise will be coming here more often thank you Dominic you're awesome! read more

Worst customer service and most incompetent staff. Tried to return an item I had purchased a month ago, well under the target return policy, and the woman at customer service kept trying to refund me a lower price despite what it said on the receipt. According to her Target's policy done not guarantee you will be refunded the same price you paid. Since when is that the case!?!?? I would understand if I didn't have the receipt, but I have proof of how much I paid. When I tried explaining it to her she started giving attitude, threw the items I was purchasing down on the counter, and started talking to the other staff member in Spanish. So disrespectful. 3.5 stars Pizza Rolls, Clif Bars, Gatorade, eye drops, cheap (affordable) shirts, gum, ice cream. These are literally the only things I come here to buy. This is my second Target I go to when I'm not close to home. Lines are either hit or miss. No complaints really. Parking can be hard on Sundays around lunch time. Starbucks drinks here take a good while from falling in line to when you get your drink. read more

The Skinny: It's a regular Target....well stocked, clean, not crowded and has an efficient staff. The Fat: It's better than Walmart for those that don't mind paying a dollar more. You don't get the Walmart cashiers with 6 inch finger nails that will scan all 20 individual bags of candy for you. You also won't get the daily solicitors hawking at the entrance. You also will be able to navigate the aisles without having to trip over merchandise. read more

I love Target but this branch is rather small and always PACKED. The parking situation was terrible but with the recession and closure of Mervyn's next door, it has gotten better. The place is reasonably clean but always packed. Went there in search of the Loomstate collection the staff doesn't even know what that was. Well, mostly.. this is the Target that I've gone almost all of my life- I think everything is pretty easy to find and there is ample parking spaces so it makes my visit to Target simple and fast. First off before you get mad at me for giving Target a 3-star review, it is solely based on this location. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE, LOVE Target. I could spend hours upon hours in there. Often times, I'll go in wanting one item and come out with 3-5 items! The parking lot of this location just always looks so dirty and trashy. Unkempt. Upon going into the store, most of the employees are not very friendly. No idea why but I just get quite peeved. But I do have to give a shout out to the customer service though! It was a week before Christmas around 11 am with only one person working the customer service area. Not only was she nice and helpful, she did not show any frustration being the only one there. Big change from the cashier that helped me just a few minutes before. I had gone into Target to purchase a Christmas gift and to pick up an online store-pickup order. It was my first time ordering store-pickup and the first cashier was rude and also did not know where the pickup was. The sign for online pickup was a bit tucked away in the corner, and there were a lot of people in the store due to Christmas shopping. The cashier just pointed to customer service. Throughout checkout, his rudeness threw me off so much that I forgot to ask for a gift receipt! Thank goodness the lady at customer service was able to print one out for me. Lines for checkout are always long. This is not my go to Target but if I'm in the area and need to get something, I'll relent and come here. This Target was busy in the afternoon and pretty much had everything any other Target store. The staff was friendly from the one we talked to. I went to look for a few items and was able to locate them in the store fairly easily since the layout was similar to other Target stores. I also forgot my sunglasses on my trip back to California, so I was checking out the sunglasses section. It was pretty limited as far as sunglasses choices. Overall, this Target was okay and wouldn't mind come back if I was in the area. read more

I had the worst service at this Target and I will NEVER shop here again. I stood behind one person to check out and this person had 5 transactions, coupons that wouldn't scan, and kept on leaving the line for more items. The cashier had to call a manager twice for help. All of my items were already on the belt- I had about 10 items- shampoo and what not. I asked the cashier to call someone to help check us out since we already waited for twenty minutes. She called the manager and he came over- never acknowledged us, and just helped her again with the current customer that was taking forever. I ended up walking out without any of my items. Terrible customer service- not to mention I was never even acknowledged once by any workers. To top it off- the manager I called didn't even help me. Terrible service. The store is definitely improving. Customer service is not as bad as people say. There are phones all over the store that you can pick up if there's not a team member in sight. Pick up that phone and I guarantee you someone will come help you. People complain about the store being messy but the employees can only do so much. The guest come in and think they can leave things in the middle of the aisles or letting their kids open toys. Shoppers will always misplace things all the time. Every since the remodel this place is even better than before! Yay for a food/grocery section and the Starbucks! I come to this Target for almost everything. They have affordable prices, cute clothes, home supplies for almost everything (beauty, cleaning, decor), video games, etc. Plus it's not stressful like Walmart. I've never had any problems with this Target. Maybe the line might move slow, but it's always been the fault of the customer (in my case). Whenever there have been long lines (like today's case), two more workers came and opened their registers to move people along. Their sales racks are really great too! You can find some great buys if you look. I got some athletic shorts for $2.78 and a cute black dress for $14.98. A bit sad they recently closed their gardening section. But it must be difficult to compete with a Lowe's and Home Depot less than 1/10th of a mile away. read more

Always always walk out with things I don't need....why do you do this to me target!? I like this location just cus I know where everything is at and I could essentially get in and out (I never do). It's a little on the messier side, the clothes are always hanging off the hangers and misplaced, shoes on the floor, etc. but I don't mind too much. They are usually out of stock of popular beauty products and need to restock more often! Lines are always long but I keep my ears perked for the customer service line to open up by shouting "10 items or less". Once they say that, I bee-line my way there. read more

I like this Target. It's always clean and organize and the workers helpful. Minus one star because they're pretty much always out of the Maybelline eyebrow pencil I use. But I suppose that's because it's too popular. Good job Target on your generic store brand, it's awesome and I've come to trust it more than a lot of name brands now. I had the worst experience with the photo department. In fact I don't even know if I can call it a department because it's in a dingy little corner with no one maintaining it. Everything is out of order and no one knows how to operate the machinery. I ordered photos to be printed at the store online. I did it the night before and received an email a few hours after confirming that the order is ready for pick up. The next day, I went to pick up my order. I got to the photo area and no one was there. I stood around for about 2 minutes with target staff walking by and not coming over to help. Finally, I had to ask a target staff to send someone over. She said she would but after 10 minutes, nothing. I saw that she was still going about her job stocking shelves. I had to ask her a second time to send someone over. Finally someone came over and starts looking for the photos. She can't find them. She leaves to get help. A security guard comes over to help and actually finds my photos but wait....only half of my photos are printed. Another person finally comes by and says that they ran out of paper..... At this point I'm furious. Why did I get an email stating it was ready? Their response...."we didn't send that email". Well obviously target Corp did and they only sent that to me because your store prompted them that it was ready. I ordered the prints the night before. They had a whole day to figure out that they ran out of paper. Why didn't anyone check? Why didn't anyone call me to say that they are actually not ready? This is extremely frustrating and this location needs to change the way they handle things. RIDICULOUS. read more
