Had to get some wrapping paper for a gift. There is a fair selection of wrapping paper and bags. Normally (being a guy) I would probably get a bag, but this gift was too big. I decided on the paper and then found a birthday card. Lines were long from a Saturday afternoon... there were 5 lanes open but many people in each line. I ended up checking out at guest services. Went home, wrapped the present, wrote out the card, and made it to the party on time. Plenty of parking at this location. read more

Edgar in security is the perfect package. He's always courteous really makes you feel safe. Everyone at the cashiers is generally kind and fun to exchange banter with when you're checking out. Convenient Starbucks towards the front of the store as well. My only gripe is their inventory is always very low here on most popular items. It's small and convenient for me. Because of it's size, it doesn't feel as overwhelming as the other Target off of Balboa or the two story on in Mission Valley. I also appreciate how nice the staff are here. I've come here for Black Friday and they are so patient. I've had staff members say hi to me because they notice I come here quite often. The only thing I don't like about this Target.... they got rid of the cafe with the popcorn! ARGH! I would come in here all the time for the popcorn and drink combo. I'm more of a Walmart shopper rather than a Target shopper, but from time to time I frequent here when I need certain items, plus its right next to Costco too. They both share a huge parking lot that never gets too full. This Target is pretty decent. Smaller than other locations it might seem like. But still holds all the basic necessities. And they also always have their dollar deals section in the front. They're pretty well stocked on items, and there's something there for everyone. I feel like not many people know this Target exists. It's right next to the Costco off of Convoy it's on the side right next to the freeway. It's not as big as the Balboa Target but it carries all your basic needs. If you don't like running into people like me then this is the Target for you! I remember coming here one time to check out their stock of NYX cosmetics and they were out of a ton of items. Target on Balboa is still my first choice but if you're in the Convoy area already it's not that bad to come here. read more

I'll begin with the cliche "one star because I'm required to rate" statement. This store is unorganized and lacked customer service at the customer service station. My sister ordered a variety of Christmas gifts online (from Ohio) for in store pick up in San Diego, which would have been a nice hassle free perk to holiday shopping if Target employees were doing their job instead of blaming my terrible experience on their "new system". All items were listed available for in store pick up and we awaited the confirmation on when the order way ready to head down to this location. I was greeted with a representative that first told me only one item was in stock and that my sister would only be charged for the merchandise I would take home, fine - not sure why they were listed in stock and I'm hearing differently but, oh well, mistakes happen. They bring out 4 of the 6 items as opposed to the 1 I was told I was allows to take. All were labeled with my name and order number and just when things were taking a turn for the better the associate tells me, "You can't have these things unless you pay for them..." To which I understood that my sister HAD payed for them or from her receipt would be charged UPON pick up. Instead of following directions they apparently charged before pick up for a total of ONE item and proceeded to tell me that the other items cannot be charged to her credit card because they were out of stock therefore they cancelled the order. She wondered why I was giving her a dumbfounded look when I'm literally touching all these so called out of stock gifts. She then turned the error onto us saying that "we waited too long" to collect the order when I literally drove down the second we got confirmation. The only option given to me was to pay for for the items myself or have her submit another order and wait. No apologies, no interest in trying to get me the items literally in my hands, just repeatedly asking, "are you going to pay for those items?" Moral of this rant: do not waste your time with ordering online and entrusting staff to do their due diligence. It was a waste of our time, and now some peoples gifts will be late unless we are willing to purchase these gifts twice while we wait for them to reverse the charge. Ugh! read more

Target online is engaging in fraudulent business practices. I use same day delivery several times a year. The last order offered a $10 discount for spending a given amount. The discount was never applied to the order. The order arrived minus two orders that were included in the price that was less than I was charged. Consequently, I was charged more for less, and no discount was applied. Please beware of Target's fraudulent business practices. Not only are the items grossly overcharged due to "inflation" but Target is also finding ways to charge even more. The credit card is placed in the system and they can charge whatever they like. Do not shop on Target. Certainly do not shop at Target Online. I have used Vons Online, and Walgreen Online with no issues. read more

She spent over an hour assisting me in setting up my new Consumer Cellular (CC) e-mail account and answering all my questions about my new phones. Alexis reset all my passwords, contacted an advanced level of CC support, and even called my internet provider to obtain pertinent information. I love this location as its right off the freeway and never ever busy! It's located next to a Costco but that doesn't hurt its business. What's great is there's everything you want in a small store. Compared to a Wal-Mart, it's more organized and seems less packed in. Parking is easy and getting in and out of here is a cinch. I end up here after visiting Fashion Valley Mall a few exits away. The associates are friendly and eager to help. I never feel that this location is understaffed. If you're looking for something in particular that isn't at other locations, this one usually has it! I'll be back again, as I always tend to need something and always visit Fashion Valley or dine nearby on Clairemont Street. We used to go to this Target all the time when I was younger and now it's kind of lost its luster. Part of that is because the closest Target to my house is the one in Mission Valley. Compared to other Targets around the county, this one is small. I do remember two specific shopping instances the last few years from this place: One was where I went to get a sesaon of Gilmore Girls on DVD. Yes, I'm a guy and I like Gilmore Girls. I don't think I should be eviscerated for such a thing but the cashier who rang me up for the DVD set gave me this look that made me feel all dirty, then had the gall to ask, "Really? Gilmore Girls?" "Why yes, strange woman, I like Gilmore Girls. Have a f****** problem with that?" Honestly, that's what I should've said, but I said nothing, gave her money, took the receipt, and left the store. I bought a George Michael greatest hits CD almost ten years ago and the only thing I remember about it was that the first time I bought it, it had two copies of the same CD (it was a two-CD set) and I had to exchange it for the correct one. I also really remember having numerous parking problems with this place, especially when there was a Home Depot Expo place next to it (which I think is gone now). People seemed unable to park in the tiny spaces provided and there was a tendency for the people crossing from the lot to the entrances in front of the store to want to get hit by cars. Parking was easy and there were no lines to make your purchase. The selection is limited in comparison to the other Targets I frequent in my area. I purchased a card and gift card during this visit. Love the dollar spot and browsed through it when I first walked in (so smart of Target to put that darn Dollar Spot section in the front of the store, I am such an impulse buyer at times, lol). This store is neat and tidy and orderly like all the other locations that I have been to. Clearance items are at the end caps of aisles and throughout. Employees were friendly. What a scam. I purchased 3 Visa gift cards as presents for Christmas from this Target. After they were given out I got calls from each family member that received them telling me they don't work. Contacted the visa company, they can't do anything. I go to the website and it tells me that money was added but also removed on Target purchases. One was literally used today at their north Hollywood location at 1:06pm.I take them to the Target I purchased them from at 12:30pm, 36 minutes before this "charge" supposedly even happened. They can't do anything. Hum??? Now, the card wasn't good on 1/1/23 when my son tried to use it. But today it was good to steal from at the North Hollywood location. Target tells me I need to file a dispute with the visa company. Which I did. They emailed me a dispute form to fill out. Which I did. Then that email sat in pending for the next 20 mins trying to send. Warning family and friends, I will NEVER give another gift card. You'll be getting cash. Visa company says a dispute takes 45-90 days. Plus I have to wait two weeks before I can dispute the pending purchase. Never again! read more

This is kind of a small Target store, and the parking lot is jankety. The store's not very clean overall, and when we were there on Sunday afternoon, there were a ton of empty shelves and sections of the store. I guess they were in the middle of a restock (maybe seasonal items only?), but seeing an entire section of the store devoid of product was kind of jarring. The selection otherwise is about what you'd expect from Target. I thought that the layout at this location is a bit confusing, but mostly because I couldn't find the things I was looking for within a couple of minutes of trying. But really, should it take longer than half a minute to find plastic bowls and a cake-service? What I still don't understand is the fact that they only had two registers open during the middle of the day. There were lines, so the need for more checkers was there, but they just flat-out ignored that need. We were fortunate in that our cashier was efficient (almost *too* efficient - she was trying to scan our items through before the previous shopper's receipt had even finished printing), so we got through the line relatively quickly. Still - you've got a ton of red shirts hanging around not doing a whole lot (that I saw, anyway) - is it such a bad idea to open up more lines to get your customers out the door faster? read more

This Target is not the best Target but it is located near my work and has essential items. It is great when you need to run in and out. This Target is small! It is a no frills Target. It is a little darker feeling than most and does not have a lot of items that you would find at other Targets such as on Balboa or Mission Valley. The plus side is that it's not usually busy so it's easy to get in and out in under 5 minutes when you just need an item or two. Just don't plan on coming to this location when you need to do a household Target run. read more

I came in today to get a "fake" Christmas tree with my mom and daughter . My wife and I decided to go with this alternative to not only save money with a one time purchase but also to go about doing our part to reduce the loss of trees. I dont know about you guys but I like oxygen. The tree we wanted was not on the sales floor, so we asked an employee that was in a nearby section. The employee didnt work this section but since no one was around she was more than happy to assist us. She looked in the system and thought she saw what we were looking for in the back stock. She went to go look, but unfortunately it was a different model. The employee then offered to look in other stores stock, and helped my mom locate the tree and put it on hold in Mission Valley. I decided to get a like model and not deal with the hassle. My mom wanted some decorative Christmas towels, we asked what we thought was an employee putting stock away. It happened to be an employee off the clock buying stuff, but she was still very courteous and directed us where we were going. Overall a very pleasant experience. My only complaint is that the store is definitely on the smaller side, but it is still has all the essentials you would need. The location is in the commercial area of convoy, and next to one of the smaller Costco warehouses as well. So I will not and cannot give fault for this. read more

This target is a little smaller than most target stores yet they remain constantly stocked and incredibly organized. They offer superb deals!! Absolutely download the cart wheel app. I also have a target red card which offers an additional 5% off all purchases. I also adore their little girl section (6-14). The cat and jack clothing line is extremely reasonable. The quality of this clothing line is exceptional.They offer cute, trendy modern girls clothing. The Victoria Beckman line for girl is remarkable. Superior quality. Extraordinary prices. Superb design and style.This brand is excellent very durable and quality. Outstanding prices!!! Every time I go to this store I am reminded of why I only go a couple of times a year. It is understocked, a lot of empty aisles and most employees are grumpy and/or oblivious. Upon asking an information, I was told that they ran out of one of the items I needed, just for me to find a whole section full of it just around the corner.
