Parking here is often hard to find because it's located in a mall. Customer service kind of sucks during Christmas time. I had to ask 3 people about a Pokemon book and my problem still wasn't solved. Online it said they had 3 left and a worker told me that their online inventory isn't always right after telling me that their online inventory is probably right. He then proceeded to not help me find out if there were indeed 3 left or not. I had one girl offer to help me so long as I went downstairs to the customer service line because that's where she had the technology to check. Upstairs you can find the kids toys, electronics and men + kids clothes. Downstairs there is the food, makeup, purses and cards. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I placed an order online around 2pm and then went there to pick it up around 5.30pm. The register told me the item was not ready and will be ready within an hour. I came back an hour later only to find it's not ready yet. So she told me to grab my item from the floor and to cancel my online order. I did found the item and she did help me to find it but for some weird reason I couldn't cancel my order. I tried different reasons but still... Overall I'd say the lady helping me was really helpful but she was not the friendliest person. I was just very disappointed with the slow service and the fact that I couldn't cancel the order even though it took so long. In the end I was able to cancel it only after I called the guest relations - such a hassle. read more

While shopping, a Target employee was building an end cap and had metal shelves leaning near the walk way. As my 6 year old daughter walked down the isle, the employee accidentally knock the shelf over, hitting my daughter on the top of her head, creating a 1 inch gash. Fast forward 6 months, they have yet to refund us our medical expenses. This is ridiculous! I will NEVER shop at a Target (especially this one) again!! This is the Target at the Oakridge Mall. It's two stories with a cool escalator for your cart! Ohhhhh ahhhhhh! Seriously, try it out. The selection here is Target-like and includes groceries. The people who work here are well-trained and very nice. One time I was carrying a bunch of stuff and walked by an employee who ran and got a basket for me. I bought a rolling hamper today along with other items and placed them inside as I shopped around. When I got to the register with Clif (look up his name on these reviews, he's great!), he was able to fashion my hamper in a way so that my other items slid down gently and it just really made it efficient?????? I love Target but not two story versions because I hate escalators. I always take the elevators here. I had hoped those in Pasadena were my last but this one is close to my home. Great service, lots of clerks and has a few groceries to save money. If you don't want to shop elsewhere in the mall just park outside around the right of the complex behind the Target instead of taking the endless loop up the parking garage like I did the first and second times in pouring rain. read more

I was searching for aviator sunglasses that I've been meaning to replace for over a year. Now, my search has come to an end. I was with my friend and we went to Oakridge to find some aviators. Every sunglasses I found were either way too expensive or the shape were more of a teardrop shape which was how my friend described it. I don't think those look as good as the ones I bought but then again it's personal preference. Yep so I bought my aviator sunglasses for around $16. Too bad they're not mirrored ones like my old ones but they're still good. Gotta change it up from time to time! As for this Target location, it's pretty much like the other Target locations I've been to. Yay! San Jose! I've arrived! Oh wait... Where's my hairbrush? Ugh! Back in Lake Forest. Conveniently, there's a Target near where I'm staying with my BF. We made a quick dash to this mall and got what I needed. This is a cool two story Target and the escalator also has a spot for carts so that you don't have to take the elevator. That was pretty neat. And you can access the Target from the parking lot and avoid the rest of the mall if you want to. The store was pretty clean and well maintained. It was helpful to see the signs high up above and quickly spot what we needed. We were in and out in 10 minutes. Good times. read more

Trust me I LOVE the convenience of being able to stop here for household errands while I shop. But I have to warn others that because it is not a full Target store, common items are not always carried and if they are, the selection is low. Still love it though, don't get the wrong idea. I just wish they carried more selection. EX 1- They only have a small side stand of condoms and lube. Seriously. This Target is an inviting place for shoppers. It is located at the east end of the Oakridge Mall on Blossom Hill Road. Parking is plentiful, although the spaces can be filled real fast on weekends and busy sale days. So time your shopping to avoid the jam at the parking garage. Target is easily accessible by public transportation. You can take the VTA Almaden light rail spur to the west side of Oakridge Mall after transferring from the Alum Rock - Santa Teresa Line. You can also take the VTA 13 bus if you live along this route in Almaden. The bus drops you off by the stop near the old Sears. This bus only runs on weekdays and infrequently. You don't get that hemmed-in feeling at Target because it is bright and spacious. The aisles are generally clean and shelves are well-organized. Most of the team members are courteous and friendly. Occasionally we'd encounter a sales person who has no clue when we need help locating an item, but on the whole, they are helpful and informative. Checkout personnel are fast and efficient. And the prices are good, too. Their toilet paper, for example, is no more expensive than Costco's. And you get a lot of choices with respect to how big a roll you want. I like the super-sized Charmin, which is almost twice as big per roll as Costco's only size. You can get smaller rolls, too. Then there is Campbell soup. You can get the variety similar to Safeway's at a lower price than Safeway's (regular) price. And you can get canola oil without waiting for the sale price at the grocery store. Are we leaning towards a 5 star? Unfortunately, no. Occasionally, I want to double-check a price. The price scanner along the paper/personal hygiene aisle was broken for months before finally being repaired. I believe there was one all the way on the other side of the store. But that's a long walk for us older folks. Makes no sense to check if it turns out I have to put it back on the shelf. Before it was fixed, I had personally reported this malfunction to the Customer Service personnel at least 2 times to no avail. And failure to repair is also evident in the ladies bathrooms on both the ground floor and the second floor. I had reported the non-functioning locks on the doors at least 3 times. As of the first of this month, not all were repaired. Back near Christmas, I was really exasperated by their failure to update their in-store posted ads. Ready to pay for an item I thought was on sale (according to posted ads) only to be told by the cashier that it wasn't. When I asked the manager about the misleading posted ads, she had this attitude of a diva. She treated me, a customer of this location since 2005, poorly. After more of that nonsense, I now only check the Sunday Mercury News to see what is really on sale before heading out. Sorry, this Target is really pretty close to a 2. The 3-Star rating is generous. read more

This Target is like any other, really, but what stands out is their customer service, one especially: Clif. I've seen Clif before, he's helped me at the register a few times, but I finally got his name today when he so nicely talked to my two sons and went out of his way, searching from register to register for stickers. He's also super friendly, always asks if you need a target card haha, and asks how our experience was. If everyone treated customers like Clif, everyone would enjoy going to target more. I've been to only one other 2 story location (outside Philadelphia) and I'm not sure they've thought too much about what to put where in these stores. As it is connected to the parking garage, it's a prime location. Elevators are available to get to the parking garage, and escalators are available between the store's 2 floors, including a cart escalator. It seems as though the more expensive items are put on the top floor to avoid shoplifting. People working in the store were somewhat friendly, although many seemed more social than work-oriented. As it was Saturday evening, the cash registers were busy and those employees didn't have a choice but to be efficient. read more

If it wasn't for the parking, I would give this Target 5 stars. This two story Target is great. It is definitely one of the cleaner locations and everything is nicely organized. It is also pretty easy to navigate (unless it's Black Friday) since each aisle or section of the store is clearly marked. In addition to the store itself being clean, the restrooms are also nice and tidy. Another plus to this location, is the Starbucks located within the store on the first floor. While there is also a Starbucks located in the food court, the one is Target rarely ever has a line and the prices are the same. Why wait in a longer line in the food court when you could quickly grab a drink at this location and then shop around Target? You can also grab some food at the little eating area in this Target too. The service is also great at this location. I've been here many times and there is always someone I can find walking around that I can ask for help if needed. The cashiers are friendly and maintain a quickly moving line. Even the security guards at the store who stand by the parking lot and all entrances are nice! The only downside to this store, is the parking. Unless you come early in the morning before the mall opens (Target opens before the mall does), it is pretty difficult to find parking nearby. I usually go straight to the second or third floor but even then parking can be difficult on the weekends. I recommend parking in the outside parking spaces available instead of the structure OR parking over in the Sears parking structure and walking over (if you're planning to shop around the mall too). read more

First of all, we got there right when the cart-pusher-boys were loading/wheeling them into the store... they push them through the metal doors on the side of the entrance... we waited, and there was still no carts coming out of it. Why were we waiting for a cart? Because there were no carts in sight! And I needed to buy dog food... I am not gonna lug around a bag of dog food in Target, especially if it's a 2 story store. Where were all the other carts? I found some in the shoe department with what looks like the employees re-doing the shoes or go-backs from the fitting room. We found a cart in the grocery aisles with boxes of snacks that looks ready to be put away... Yeah, it was basically everywhere for employees to use to load one or two items, and the customers had their arms. My friend and I were talking about it out loud, a few of the employees heard, and a few of the employees laughed... yeah, you guys are real great with customer service. One even placed one item in the cart so that we wouldn't take the cart. RME. I usually think that this Target was more polite than the one I normally go to near my house, but today? I felt like high schoolers were being lazy at work. read more

I've come to this Target so much that I never thought I would have to write a bad review. I would give this manager who works at guest service -1 because of how she was speaking to me. A little backstory, I recently checked my bank and I got frauded $139 from a different state and they had tried the best they can to help me with to try to reverse the money back to my card and they couldn't. So they told me to head over target to dispute it with them. So after I went to this specific target and planned to do some Christmas shopping after. This one manager, I explained to her that I'm getting a new card very soon and that I got frauded from a different state at a different target. And when she was talking to me, she had her arms crossed and gave me an excuse to not give me a customer service number nor was she nice about it. I was told by my bank to head over to target so they could help me, but it seems that I went this worse target that I will not be bringing my husband nor my son to go shopping at. She had a really bad attitude and arms cross, you don't talk to customers like that when they are trying to get anything resolved. I really hope that she doesn't talk to anybody else that way. Because she does a really bad customer service and the fact that is how she talks to. Don't know how many people she has already spoken to. By the way, her name is Caroline, has brown/black long hair w/ a plain/graphic sweater and works at guest services as a manager. I used to work at retail and I don't speak with my customers like that nor do I cross my arms w/ an attitude. I will call someone else to assist me. But if she continues to work there, I will not be there. If I could give 0 stars, I would give her -1 for speaking to me like that with several customers there. I was a value customer whenever I shop with my husband and son whenever we're done shopping at the mall. But now, I don't care if you're stressed out from retail but you can't speak to anybody with crossed arms and an attitude. good luck getting help from anyone, the isles are usually sold out of everything & for months I occasionally go to the dog area for wipes, eye drops or some puppy teething toys and they never carry any of it even though they offer a wide selection of items. press the get help button in isle and no one shows up, I go home and call the store to voice my concerns and I do not get an answer from a single department, they have plenty of staff to answer phones, help, or order items. it's like no one runs the inventory. where are the managers? read more

I am super pleased with this Target. Not only is it attached to Oakridge Mall but it's two stories! That's pretty cool. I give it 5 stars because I had excellent customer service with their phone operator. I was looking to see if they had a particular item in stock, and she went above and beyond to help. She even had people look in the stock room! She ensured that it would be waiting for me when I got to the store, and it was at guest services with my name attached. I've never had such a positive experience from a Target let alone any where else. So if you need help looking for an item call this store! The staff are friendly and helpful, and that's what I appreciate when shopping at a store. I love Target, and supported the store tremendously until my son got a job here. BEWARE of this store, even if you're desperate for money. You'll be treated like a low class citizen, and live in fear that you'll be fired everyday. My son has a good work ethic, he arrived early, never called out sick and never complained. He said people left in droves, never stuck around or just never showed up for their shifts. You would think: oh, that's just retail. Wrong. These were huge red flags being waved at us. My son said management was rude, condescending and unhappy. Let's not forget UNPROFESSIONAL. They stopped scheduling my son and never told him why. No decency to give him a call. How do I know my son didn't deserve this? He had a 4.17 GPA coming out of high school, his teachers praised him, this was his first job, he was excited -- and this company just treated him like he was worthless. He found another job with a competing company, and they are happy to have him and appreciate his work. He tells me everyday how his current company compared to Target are night and day. I'm hoping it's just THIS Target that is horrible. If so, management needs to be retrained and told to be grateful they have a job and employees during a pandemic. read more

I love love love Target but this location sucks if you just need to go to Target. Since its in Oakridge mall you have to deal with the mall crowd so parking can be a pain unless you park further. By the way I still think its odd that Targets are in malls now.. it brings down the mall for me some how. Plus when I see people in the mall with their shopping carts that's weird! Still this is in the mall it gets tons of traffic so this Target is always messy. I go to Target every week pretty much for this or that but if I can avoid it I'll go to another one. Plus this is two stories and its annoying when I go upstairs to get something, realize its downstairs but really upstairs again. You get what I'm saying. read more

Let me begin this review by saying that I absolutely LOVE Target! However, this review will be for this Target location. And this location sucks. It's like a low budget Target, or semi-Target. But definitely not as joyful to shop as the other Targets. First of all, if you don't go before the mall opens or on an "off" hour, then parking will be a hassle. Typically, a trip to Target does not include battling for spaces with shopping mall patrons. On the weekends it's even more frustrating. You would think that two stories means big. Not really. It's odd to shop here and have to go upstairs, then back downstairs because you forgot something there, then you forget something else that happens to be upstairs. You can't just drift and meander freely without being slightly inconvenienced by the upstairs-downstairs thing. And if the cart mover is broken and you have overshopped like I do when I go to Target, it's even more annoying. Not only that, but they seem to carry a smaller stock of items. I guess they should get points for making less look like more than it is. And specialty items like Rodarte and McQueen for Target weren't featured like at other stores (or if they were, it was weeks after they were debuted elsewhere). Oh, and seeing people pushing their lazy kids in Target shopping carts in the mall is kinda weird. Shouldn't Target contain their shopping carts to the store and parking lot? I guess if you have to go to the mall for something, and you need something basic from Target, then this may work. And it's kinda nice to have cashiers on both floors. Other than that, I will happily go out of my way to shop at a *real* Target store. read more

I went here shopping for christmas gifts for my family. When I found everything i was looking for, i told the workers to hold it (which they did) and I left with my mother to shop in the mall. When we came back, our cart was not there considering the fact that our name was labeled on the cart. Turns out one of the workers had put our name tag for our cart on another cart. I'm very upset about this since we had a lot in our cart and now we are shopping for all our things AGAIN. Some of what we originally had in our cart aren't on the shelf's anymore. For anyone using the drive up service, it worked out pretty good. It's right in front of the entrance facing the parking lot and there's 3 designated parking spots that have a drive up sign. Mind you this was my first time using the drive up service so maybe I got lucky? Super convenient if you don't want to go inside the store! All of this is done through the target app. read more

Target is THE best place for everything. However, the Oakridge Mall location is the most unkept, unpleasant, and unruly one. Mostly dirty with things piled in random places, shopping carts filled with re-stock items left unattended along the aisles, some areas not fully stocked, curb appeal/ entrance from exterior is extremely dirty and lined with trash, trash bins overflowing, etc.. Yes, it is attached to the mall which offer great convenience for a one stop shop for the day. But between Target and Westfield management, they should be able to keep Target carts from being pushed around through the mall and outside Target itself. Perhaps having an invisible line before entering into the mall that locks the carts. There's nothing more disturbing than trying to shop at the smaller stores within the mall with the large red cart being pushed around that just doesn't belong. For Westfield, this certainly degrades the shopping experience altogether. Retailers should care and not allow the carts beyond target (Nordstrom Rack figured it out). Parking is a tough one for this location. Going to Target is an after thought for this location. It's like an intention to go to the mall AND convenience that Target is there vs. "I need to go on Target run". Hardly will you find a space right around it. The exterior entrance faces the lower level of a garage that has limited (immediate)parking. Seems that it would have been more beneficial and a better storefront appeal to have the entrances facing the parking lot along Santa Teresa. This is the closest Target location within the Blossom/Almaden Valley. For a better Target shopping experience (clean, bright, pleasant), Hillsdale & Cottle aren't too far away. I still make the extra few miles trip to Coleman. Target Oakridge- please raise the standard for the experiences of your customers. read more
