Tonight I had the rare privilege of encountering what may be the single rudest Target employee on planet Earth. Imagine walking up, ready to buy a simple item, and being told -- with a straight face -- that I was not allowed to purchase it because she needed to take a photo of the section before anyone was allowed to touch anything. Yes. A photo. Of the shelf. Before customers are allowed to, you know, buy things. Wild concept for a retail store, I know. I stood there trying to wrap my head around the policy. Stores have inventory systems. They scan items. They track SKUs. That's how retail has worked since roughly the invention of barcodes. But apparently this Target now runs on forensic shelf photography and vibes. When I politely questioned the logic, I got attitude -- not an explanation. No "sorry," no "give me one minute," just pure hostility and the sense that I had somehow committed a crime by attempting to spend money. So here's the takeaway: if you come to this Target expecting to purchase products, brace yourself. You may instead be inducted into a bizarre ritual where the shelves are sacred, the camera roll is king, and paying customers are treated like they're interrupting a museum exhibit. read more

I give the target off of North Scottsdale rd a one star review because they had horrible customer service and teenage staff who were very unprofessional. I am very upset with my experience I had today with them. I took my daughter there for here birthday and because she had a gift card and she saw what she wanted was there online. So I was like "Okay let's get it then!", then we went to checkout and the teenage girl who was there was obviously new to the job and had no idea what to do with a gift card. So she asked these group of teenage boys that also worked there for help. They did help, but with a horrible attitude while they snickered at my daughter's digital circus shirt and were obviously making fun of my sweet baby. It is her 9th birthday and they were treating her so rudely. After they finally got the card to work they claimed it had zero dollars on it, which is impossible because we had the receipt that had the actual amount on it (which was $50) but when I tried to show them they just shut it down saying I must have used it already. But I truly have a feeling that they either screwed up the card number or scratched off a number, Both opinions are not good. They even had the nerve to kick me out when I asked to speak with a manager to get this all sorted out, which is unbelievable since I just wanted to get things all sorted out. So no, I would NOT recommend this Target to anyone because of these immature teenagers that they allow in to just bully a nine year old on her birthday just because of her interests. This is completely insane. Thanks for ruining my daughters day target. read more

The nice thing about this one is that it is not in a very populated area so it's really calm and quiet when shopping in there. Everything looks neat and clean. Staff is smiling. Great clearance pricing. Lots of options for cute clothes and toys. read more

This Target is a hidden gem! It's a bit of a drive from where I live now, but an item I wanted could only be bought at this location. It was the last one left, so I made the 39 minute trek over with my wife. This location was DEAD. And I mean that as a compliment. Mind you, this was at seven on a Monday, but still. It was the quietest Target I've ever shopped in. Except for maybe a handful of others, it was like having an entire Target to ourselves. The staff was very friendly as well. I'm used to Target employees quickly moving from station to station, but they actually spoke to us and asked if we needed help. I'll also say that this location has one of the best clearance selection in town. I came in for the item I had on hold and left with new swim trunks, a $4 shirt and some new drinking glasses. Despite the drive, this would be my go to if I ever need a peaceful, less crowded Target run in the future. Not sure if this was out of the norm, but it was lovely compared to a typical Target run by me. read more

This is a very nice Target location...until you have to check out. Shopping was a breeze, wide aisles,and plenty of product in stock. We shopped here before and during the holidays, and had great experiences until check out. Each time we went through check out we have had long lines, and very slow cashiers. Not a big deal, but even during relative lulls in business our check out speeds were long. Kudos to management during the holidays, the long lines were managed well then, serpentining customers through the pet food aisles before check out. A touch of training goes a long way, we enjoy shopping here and will update this review as we know things will improve. read more

I've pretty much stopped shopping at Target for a few reasons. But, today I went in for something that it said they had when I checked online but they didn't have it when I got there. (Big shock...) Anyway, we were trying to buy something else and went to the self checkout (only be my husband will do that...I won't.) We were trying to pay cash and it said we needed to see an associate. (If I need to see an associate, try opening more lanes with cashiers!!!) I will admit at this point I was pretty steamed but the "associate" was EXTREMELY rude. I told her that if she needed to come over to ok a cash transaction, maybe they need to have more cashiers. Again, she was extremely rude. We left the item there and I will NEVER shop there again. read more

So you have a choice between Target and Walmarts, which one do you stop at? For me it would be Target, but the mega-Walmarts down near the 101 is real nice, too. This Target store is one of their newer upscale versions with limited cold food items. They put the slowest people and only 2 maybe 1 on to check you out. I don't want to do self check out? No one does. And then they just talk and talk and make the line take forever. It's not a good time to shop here. The store is well stocked but you guys have to hire quicker check out people. It's embarrassing. read more

A lot of stuff was out of stock on the counter. Long lines at check out. Should open more to speed up the process. None of the express lines were open. One opened after I asked, and I was told she was closed, then when other people got in her "closed" line, she started checking them out. Target usually has much better customer service. read more

This is for the CVS Paharmacy inside. I had forgotten a couple meds on my recent to Scottsdale & needed them transfered. The pharmacist was very nice & made sure everything went smoothly; I am sure also being a CVS patient as it was made it even easier. Innitially, I was going to have to pick up the meds on two separate days, but, it worked out so I only had to go once. We also bought a few items which she let us pay for right then & there with no separate trip to the main checkstands. I would wholeheartedly recommend this location wheather you visiting from out of state or live locally. Keep up the good work. read more

I shopped at this Target location for the first time today. I came there specifically to purchase a new TV, Blu-Ray/DVD Player and a HDMI cable. The service I received in the electronics department was excellent. Gus was very helpful in answering my questions, completing the transaction and then rolling the TV out to my car. Such a smooth process. I got my TV all set up and just love it. Very happy with my purchase and the customer service I received. I will definitely be returning to this Target location in the future. I would like to take a moment to heartily thank MICHAEL, the Target store manager at The Summit. He has been so brilliant, uplifting, hardworking, and honest each and every morning during the coronavirus outbreak. While people are in dire need of supplies, Michael has been on the front line! I had to go two mornings in a row to get some supplies for myself one day and my parents the next day. I don't want to take more than I need. Each morning I got there an hour before opening and was never in the top 10 in line. Each morning, Michael came outside the store a few minutes before opening with a big smile on his face. He was so informative about what the truck had brought for that particular morning - specifying products and quantities and always assuring us there was plenty for all. Target also placed limits on what people could buy and I certainly appreciate that so more people could get the items they needed. Michael would also let us know what days trucks would be bringing items that were needed and sometimes the food items would be available in the afternoon and not in the morning. At times like these, it's invaluable to have a partner like Michael and the neighborhood Target store. This Target needs a remodel so badly. The entire store smells like a litter box and the bathrooms are pretty gross. The teenage boy who checked us out today had no name tag but didn't even say hello to us, just started scanning our items. Then, two other teenage boys, who were obviously his friends, came behind us in line and started snickering at every action their friend did. It made the transaction even more awkward. Nice organized store with very good sales! I found a lunch bag for work for $4, pretty decent size and nice design. I bought an NBA basketball for $20 and it was convenient to go there vs. like a Dick's Sporting Goods. I also got a case of water for $3, 24 bottles. It's clean and the cashier was super friendly as well. I give it 4 stars because I couldn't find a good football that I can deflate easily for travels. Still, a good store to hit up. read more

I buy my iced coffee here and the customer service is excellent. I use a wheelchair and need help getting things off the shelves. The employees are always friendly and willing to help. I'm able to hang a basket on the arm of my wheelchair and an employee will put the coffee in it for me. When I get to the register, they are willing to put my card in the scanner for me and hang my bags on the back of my chair . This means I can shop independently. read more

Finally updated this Target. Like the Starbucks- not crazy about the new setup. Everything is kind of in a new place that doesn't quite make sense. As always if you don't watch what you spend it will always be the 100 dollar store. I primarily check out the dollar zone then make the runabout then end up at the starbucks before taking off. Just left this location. Just went in to look and found something interesting for 49.99 (yes i did read the whole label to make sure it was right), but when i got to checkout it rang up as 59.99. Target used to be more professional about what they did, compared to other retailers like Wal-Mart. Guess this is no longer the case. read more

So much to like about this Target - it is quiet, no Wal-Mart riff-raff type of customers, nice parking, and has nice staff that may actually talk to you. Most seem to be half-retired folks, teens, etc. instead of the career minimum wage type of people. Selection here isn't as big as other Target stores I've visited, but for the other factors I'll gladly give up on that. read more

I have to say that I am disappointed that at this Target they are not changing their gloves between customers. I noticed all these people in line in front of me and then when I got to the cashier I noticed he had the same gloves on as those that he rang up before me. I asked him how often they change their gloves and he said 1 to 2 times per hour. I pointed out that every item that each person has touched in front of them is now contaminated on other's items. He explained they won't have enough gloves if they all changed for every customer. I also informed him there is not a current shortage of gloves! I hope they change their practice, I won't be going back there unless absolutely necessary, or maybe I'll bring them a new pair of gloves from my own supply and they can change it for my items. SO DISAPPOINTING--if grocery stores (Safeway does) can do this, so can Target. Get with it Target, this is common practice that should be occurring right now with what is going on in our society with this virus. read more

I will start off by saying that I love Target - I hate THIS Target. The staff here is so unfriendly, things are way overpriced and the patrons are pushing their carts around like they are in a shopping race -- slow it down folks! I (never thought I'd say this in my life) but I really prefer to go to the Walmart across the way. It's clean, clerks are friendly, prices are competitive and the vibe is more positive.
