The 1st thing to remember is that everyone is struggling with staff and to be kind to the staff who are there in trying to help people. I found that staff were more than willing to help me and most of the time would actually walk me to an area that I had questions about rather then just give me a general directions and send me on my way. The store was clean and well organized and some staff were wearing masks and they had taken the screens down which helped to protect their cashiers. I personally wish they still had them up. Target has all kinds of products that are appropriate for young families or people of a certain age. My particular area of interest is , their paper products and groceries. It's where I go to get my bulk paper towels and my bulk Kleenex. They also have a nice selection of organic cleaning products. This particular Target has this little smaller grocery area but they have all the items that you could ever need. They have high quality in the fresh food, frozen food and dry goods. They have a great beverage selection including water. Health drinks and wine and alcohol. I find that I can usually get in-and-out in a very timely manner. It's all relatively close to Whole foods sprouts and Costco which is convenient if you're wanting to hit all those places for different things. read more

Buyer beware!! I bought a gift card as a gift for my daughter for Mother's Day she went to target today to redeem it and it said there was a zero balance on the card? I told her no problem I have the receipt so not to worry. I take said card and receipt to Target to get the issue fixed. They basically said oh sorry to bad here's a 1- 800 number we don't deal with problems with our gift cards! So please beware of buying gift cards at Target!!! The 1-800 help said it has zero balance they can't see where or when it was ever used and they would email me a case number...sounds like a too bad for you reply. This Target is 2 miles from our home....so that is why I went. I would have gone o Walmart, but the wife HATES Walmart....lol I found what I needed....and the price OK. I did find there were a lot of employees that walked right by me and did not say a word....however I will reserve judgement until I go here a few more times. I must admit, having a Target usual, and a grocery store in the same place is handy. The grocery prices were a little cheaper, and the quality was good. I did see an employee walk by (a manager I am guessing) and he said into his two way radio "if you see a cart that has something in it, and it has been there for more than 23 minutes......put the stuff back and take the cart upfront". Upon initial interaction, Cole was dismissive and confrontational. Maybe it was an off day for him but I'm not sure this is the right fit to represent target. I... LOVE Target. But as a Mom that's been going to Target for decades, I found that their renovations and facelifts left me lost and empty inside. Target has a very comforting, homey, familiar, nostalgic feel to it, and I feel like I was robbed of that feeling now. Target isn't about the things, or the prices, it's about the feeling you get when you're grabbing your basket, or that red cart, getting your coffee or bevy from the front and mindlessly strolling through wonderland as you escape the everyday stresses of life. Going up and down each and every single isle, browsing for whatever Target thinks you need. Target was a safe haven for us Moms and now the dynamic has changed. It's borderline torturous for me more. I used to be able to tell you where everything was, what isle, what shelf.. may as well even wore a red shirt. But now.. I shop here and just do pick up orders. Inside isn't for me anymore. My heart broke. You know that saying "don't fix it if it ain't broken"? Yeah, this applies hardcore here. Not to mention this area has become so congested and populated that traffic is horrendous. It's difficult to get out of this parking lot. They need either another (old style) location, or a traffic light to help us out. read more

Terrible service, no one at customer service desk answers the phone, nor electronic department nor option #8 "all other departments" I purchased a big item online and cannot get assistance to return it in store and what I need before I drive up. When in person manager is always playing around or person running front cashier area. Such a different environment from all other Tucson locations. Not to mention this Target is my last option as its the closest to my home but I always avoid it looks like a "Factory 2 U" very unorganized inside even before remodeling started, clothes in woman's department just everywhere and sale items are never marked accurately "Ever" this is how the store is supposed to make room for new merchandise? I have a love/hate relationship with Walmart (mostly hate) but with Target, it's all love all the time! The staff at this location is always friendly and will ask if you need help if they see you in the aisles. I love that they expanded the grocery section which makes things so convenient! Last weekend I finally remembered to bring in a blank check to sign up for the Red Card - it works like your debit card but you get a discount when you use it. Their computers were down and it couldn't get processed but the sweet cashier gave me the discount anyway. Service like that from a huge chain is unexpected but very much appreciated! read more

This is my favorite Target location in Tucson. Every time I've been in here, the employees have gone out of their way to help me. They also always seem to have everything I need in stock. I haven't noticed any descrepencies in what's listed as available on the website and in store, which is great. I have run into that issue at other locations. The Starbucks in this location is also one of the better ones. Even if it weren't close to my home, I would still go out of my way to visit this Target. read more

Employees here will take the path of least resistance and will answer the phone before they will help the customer that is right in front of them. We went to the electronics department to buy a Roku stick, looked for them for about 10 minutes, finally found the guy who was "working" that department and as soon as we asked where they were, the guy, while looking us RIGHT IN THE EYE, picks us the phone and walks away. Didn't say one word to us, it was like we were invisible. Wtf. This is why no one wants to go to buy stuff any more and we buy EVERYTHING online. Target is the place to get the best price on laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, and paper products like toilet paper and paper towels. If you use Reach flossers, the replacement cartridges are about $2 cheaper here than anywhere else on the northwest side. In addition to these benefits, they also have awesome customer service. Love target and this store is wonderful. Very clean, organized, and the employees are always very nice and helpful. The ONLY thing I don't really like is the snack bar- the food isn't that great, and they don't always have quite a few things in stock. This Target has the worst most unhelpful customer service people I have ever experienced. I used to enjoy going to my local Target store. However, this store has continually disappointed me. One time I asked an associate on the floor if he knew where an item was and he said, "No I don't" and continued what he was doing. Really?! I work in customer service and I would never ever treat a customer like this. Ok you dont where an item is- use your radio and ask someone else who works there! You know it is bad when you are at the store and you have to get on your phone to locate a product in the store because the associates could care less to help. So sad read more

Started with getting wrong directions for what I needed from an associate. Then they were out of an item I needed. And finally while waiting in line TWO other people behind me were called to another register by an associate who came up to help with the backup due to one register not working well. Both of them had more items then I did. Then when I finally got to the register and paid the cashier (while just holding my money in her hand) was talking across the Isle to the other cashier that was having issues. Can't go wrong with Target! This one is a convenient location on the NW side of town. It's not as large as it's Oracle Rd counterpart, but it has all your basics and it will get the job done! Tip, if you're going for something specific (I recently went for a specific comforter set), you can call ahead of time and they'll grab it off the shelf and hold it at the front Customer Service. That way no one snags it while you're on your way there, and it's super quick and easy to pay and leave since it's already been pulled for you (no searching around trying to find it or asking employees to check in the back, etc.) read more

On Christmas Eve (12/24/16) I went into the target store on Ina and Thornydale in Tucson. I had come into the store to attempt to exchange a vacuum I had purchased some month's prior. My vacuum in tow, I approached the returns desk and was greeted by "Jasmine." I explained my situation to Jasmine, she asked for my Red Card which I provided, and she attempted to find the vacuum I purchased. She couldn't find the model number for the vacuum so she looked online to try and locate it. To no avail, she called over "Janet" who appeared to be a manager of some sort. She asked Janet for help. Janet quickly dismissed what I was trying to explain and asked me if I had the box for my vacuum. After few discerning looks, she said to me "If you don't have a receipt, we can't help you." I said, "that's unfortunate, there is nothing we can do?" She then replied "You can go to the shelf and bring me a box and we can look it up that way." Slightly annoyed, I went to the shelf. The item is out of stock. When I returned, Janet quickly said, "no box, nothing we can do" with an attitude I would liken to a two year old who hasn't gotten there way. I then said to Janet, that's fine, I was going to just buy a new one anyways, but if your attitude is going to be like this to a customer, I think I will take my business elsewhere. She then responded to me, "good, go for it." Following this exchange, I turned and said to Janet, "I'm sorry, your attitude is not appreciated, can I please have your name and store managers name? I am going to write a letter." She then replied, "Go ahead and write a letter, it won't change anything. You're just mad I told you no. You're the one with the attitude, not me." I then said, "I am really sorry you feel that way" and left the store. Now, I have worked in retail management, I currently am the director of public relations for a large insurance provider. While I am heavily tattooed and bi-racial, and today have a good deal of paint on me (I am currently remodeling my house), I wear a suit and tie on a daily basis and can't help but wonder how my experience would have been different had I been dressed differently and of a lighter completion. Janet not only made me feel unwelcome in your store, but unworthy of any sort of customer service and looked at me as though I am some sort of common vagrant trying to work the system. Never in my life have I been treated with such disdain and disrespect. Janet was disrespectful, judgmental, disparaging, and worst of all, discriminating. The lack of customer service I received tonight, on Christmas Eve of all nights, is flat out shameful and frankly, an indignation. I have never had a more unpleasant and disrespectful customer service experience in my entire life, and certainly did not expect to have that experience at a Target. A copy of this letter will also be provided to KVOA and all news channel for who have a consumer advocacy program.
