this store has become so unprofessional. If there is not a lot of positive leadership, some staff members are friendly, but the majority of them have attitudes and don't even greet you. I haven't been to this target for a long time. I was there in the middle of the day and the middle of the week, so it wasn't crowded. I really like Targets products. What I found to be very annoying, but I guess it's a sign of the times is lots of products are locked up. So, if you need something, you have to push the bottom for assistance. They are supposed to come open the glass case, and you get what you need. Well! In this Target, they take their sweet time coming or the buttons don't work at all. I finally found a button (2 rows over) and told the young man about the botton not working. He could care less! No response at all. Unfortunately, I needed vitamins and toothpaste which are both locked behind glass doors. I'm seeing this more and more in different stores. I feel this is a shame that people steal so bad that everything is locked away. It makes for a bad shopping experience. I will not go to these stores for products that are locked up from now on unless I have no choice. Other than that complaint, I enjoyed my trip to Target. read more

The service in this location is deplorable. Some of the employees are disrespectful and tasteless. Everything that's important for everyday life is under lock and key. The drive up service is hit or miss could take more than 10 minutes to bring your items curbside. Went in for some pain meds, everything under lock and key. Used the provided buzzer, few minutes later an employee shows up - he doesn't have the key. Walks away, multiple requests for assistance-all ignored! Eventually tracked down another employee that has a key. Finally relief from pain! It's unfortunate that retailers have to put the majority of their merchandise under lock and key. But if you do - TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES ON WHY IT IS BEING DONE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF RESPONDING TO CUSTOMERS! In the future I'll avoid urban locations and wait to support my local store. read more

I am not in target much but since I've found a good earth friendly dish detergent and my Kleenex hand towels, I go more often. They have a food area: Pizza hut and Starbucks. The servers in Starbucks can be not so nice. The service here is good. The associates know where items are and willing to get assistance if they don't. The store is clean and well lit. There stock is low sometimes and they don't carry the things listed on the app and that is a little frustrating. Overall my experience is good and I will continue to shop here. read more

OMG, what is going on at this store???The lines are getting ridiculous. They didn't even have the self service line open (my go to) the last time I was there. They use to keep there lines moving, and I loved it because I could always use be in and out. I could make a quick Target run for whatever I needed. The last few times I was there. The lines were very long. They only had two registers open. I felt sorry for the cashiers. They were overwhelmed. Do better Target! read more

I visited this location a few days ago and it was like circa April 2020 - a few weeks into the pandemic. The shelves were absolutely bare. Apocalypse style. A trip to the hot wheels section is usually essential for my preschooler, and even that aisle was completely devoid of inventory. It felt eerie. I was so perturbed, I mentioned it to an employee as I was heading to self-checkout. What happened, I asked. His response - no one wants to work (basically, inventory is in the back, waiting to be packed out onto shelves) Another employee within earshot chimed in agreeing. SMH. This is my local Target and I'm annoyed at how poorly the store is run. Target is a trillion dollar company that can afford to invest in smarter hiring, training, and accountability systems for managers and employees. Shelves shouldn't be empty for no other reason than employees not doing their jobs. The employee at the self checkout line (short chubby white man with glasses) startles me every time I'm checking. He speaks very loud always comes up behind me and asks "DO YOU NEED HELP!!!" I understand he is just trying to do his job but I literally dropped a glass bottle of Kombucha and it shattered all over the place because of his actions. Please have a discussion with this man about boundaries and indoor auditory volume. read more

I went to the electronics section unsure about getting a tablet. The employee (damn I should've gotten his name) was super helpful and patient as I'm not as tech savvy as most. I end up getting a tablet and a few other things. Also, I accidentally left something in my cart, so I ran back into the store to look for it. I asked the security guards if they found something in a cart and they said they took it to customer service. I ran over there and my bag was right there on the counter! I was so happy! read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Wyncote, Pennsylvania

On 11/13/20 my sister and I stopped in to look for the hot new card game of the 2020 holiday season, Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. After a string of unsuccessful attempts at many other stores our search brought us to the Target of Cheltenham as a last minute resort. They had the game and that made the trip worth it! The layout is a bit different than other Targets I have been too but they had the game and that is all that matters! If I am in the area I will visit again! read more

As you know, Target has many stores throughout the area. I am partial to the Target on Shoppers Lane in Philadelphia. The staff there are very helpful and they monitor checkout lines to get you through as quickly as possible. Their prices for most things are quite reasonable (a little higher than Walmart but I pay for the convenience.) I go there on a regular basis primarily for kitty litter and packaged groceries. They help me keep my food and cleaning supply costs down. For example, distilled water at Acme costs close to three dollars and is a dollar at Target. I find that this difference is true for bread, cereal, soup and many more items. The selection is more limited, but I get most of what I want there. They also have very good customer service and returns are a breeze. My only complaint is that the cost of clothing has gone up. I used to buy cotton tops, etc. for a reasonable price; now I head to Old Navy or Walmart. That's why I took away a star. I still highly recommend them. read more

I called this Target for an hour got no answer this location never answers the phone and that's in any department. I ordered an item they supposedly had 3 of in the wee hours of the morning as in 5am and when I woke up at 9a to pick up it was all of a sudden out of stock, how does 3 items disappear before the store opens mind you when I tried to order earlier in the day they didn't have it however after closing hours the app said it was available. read more

Considering what it could be, better or worse, this Target will pass with a B+. It is organized and clean. I can easily find what I'm looking for and I almost always encountered helpful, friendly and motivated associates. However, I did notice that this Target has less clearance and sale items compared to others. Overall, i enjoy shopping there especially for its convenience of being local. read more

I really like this Target...even more than the one in Plymouth Meeting. It seems to be a newer store and is really large and spacious with a great selection of pretty much everything. It also has a Starbucks and Pizza Hut to-go which is really nice, too. I've only ever been here in the middle of the day so I can't say that I've ever experienced under-staffing that some reviews have mentioned. read more

One of the worst Targets I've ever visited. First off, it's located in a weird area where you can't see the Target from the main street and once you do see it, have to drive around it to the back to park (trust me, it's awkward). Second, the staff was completely unhelpful. Ok, maybe not completely but the ones I ran into or couldn't find were not helpful. They seemed more interested in chatting with fellow co-workers than helping me find what I was there to find. Btw, I did find what I was looking for... AT ANOTHER TARGET. Last, the items on the shelves are not nearly as well organized or stocked as the other Targets I've been to. It felt more like a Walmart. I love the fact that this Target decided to come to Cheltenham Mall area. It really built up the area. They are always normally stocked. Staff is Ok. A lot of staff are not normally on the floor but you can at least find at least 1 person to help you. They stay stocked on pet food and regular food. So no need for many complaints I will continue to come here. read more

I like the closer location. I didn't have high hopes for this Target as soon as I knew it was being built in the old Cheltenham Mall area. It was nice shopping in the beginning but the store has gone down. The workers are okay. Not many working there. On a visit in the early evening, as I walked through some guys in a cloud of marijuana smoke, I noticed I also happened to interrupt a drug meet up/exchange in the process. I hesitate to see what goes on in the later hours. I don't feel safe there. I will go in the daytime or another location. That whole shopping development in fact is not a safe place to be. read more

Terrible customer service regarding early closing of store due to storm conditions. The early closing itself was understandable, but the lack of notice two customers was inexcusable. Even after the store had already closed prior to their posted closing time, their phone answering system continued to state their standard closing time, and the menu option to speak to a store representative got neither a human answer nor a recorded one. At the store itself, with all the lights still on, the sign on the door continued to say the standard closing hour, and there was no sign telling of the early closing. The customers we're apparently not even an afterthought of the store's management. read more

This Target did a fine job with stock, cashiers and parking during the holidays. The lines weren't terrible long. I really like the self service lines they added- most people haven't caught on. I went looking for gift bags- fortunately, they had some left, but they were all over the place. I was glad though. I happily went through it looking for the right bag at the right price. read more

This Target is good. I can usually find sale items here that sell out at Plymouth Meeting and Abington stores. The only downside are the employees who are sometimes unhelpful. How a person works in electronics and mistakes game memory cards for the flash drives I requested is beyond me. And before that, when I called to ask if a sale item was in stock the rude customer service girl said "do you want to know if it's on sale or in stock." Umm... I still prefer the Abington and Plymouth Meeting stores to this one and only visit if in a hurry since it's close. read more

Worst Target I've ever been in. I went a couple of times and gave up, I won't go there anymore even though they're down the street from my place. The layout of the store is completely illogical, so you can't find what you need... the employees care more about socializing with each other and throwing attitude than actually helping customers... and the customers, when they're not cutting the line at the registers or screaming at each other across the store, are stealing off the shelves (I overheard an employee tell a co-worker that she's constantly pulling empty boxes off the cosmetic racks because people take the product out and pocket it). Dear Target: get better security, hire employees who actually care, and maybe I'll start shopping there again. read more

This store has taken a turn for the worst within the last 3-4 months. It seems like new management has this location extremely unorganized and hardly ever stocked. I rather drive a bit further to the location in Abington where they actually have product on the shelves and there are actual carts for the customers to use rather than the associates. read more

This brand new Target is big and beautiful, but I don't like it. First of all, it is so big that finding something can involve a lot of walking. The way it is set up, just to pass by every aisle in search of the item you need, you essentially need to walk the length of the store three times (add it's probably the longest store you've ever been in). During my three passes last night, I didn't come across a single employee that I could ask for directions. When I finally found what I was looking for, clothes irons, I was pleased to see over a dozen models on display. Unfortunately, 2/3 of those on display weren't in stock, and of the remaining, only half had prices. I tried to deal with this by using the price scanner, which was, of course, broken. My issue is not really with the store it's with the corporate policy on returns. I bought a bunch of ready made enfamil formula for my infant. He refused to eat it so I took back two unopened six packs. I did not have a receipt. I was expecting store credit which is fine. They told me that I can only exchange it for other formula. Clearly, they are unopened, and can be put back on the shelves. I asked well at the least can I exchange it for baby clothes, toys, etc. She said she needed her manager to approve it. So there I waited for ten minutes foR her and she said yes, other baby items. As I was standing there, 2 other guests were having the same issue but with different products. They were being told they could only exchange for items in the samd category. I am avid Target shopper despite the items being priced more than Walmart. Next time, i will seek out a Walmart because I know they take back everything, no modifications or exclusions. read more

Usually neat and tidy. I have had pleasant interactions with associates helping me locate products. I do avoid the dressing rooms, because every time I go near them, their has been workers bitching about one thing or another. My biggest peeve is their lack of cashiers at the registers. There are usually only 2-3 open with lines 3+ deep. read more

I'll admit I was hesitant to go to this Target but I was pleasantly surprised. Not one but two workers willingly helped me find the products I needed and I was in and out of the store quicker than I expected. Prices were great and lined were quick as well for a weekend! read more

Oh good grief. As Targets go... this one is pretty lame. The lines are slow and long and the cashiers are often talking to each other and goofing off. The few times I went to the customer service desk for a return, the persons behind the counter were just cold and not all that nice. I am guessing that a sale on a certain item here would be on sale at another Target down the street so I can't say that they have great sales. I never dread going to Target. Actually, it is probably one of my favorite places to shop. However, i may go out of my way to shop at another Target store just to avoid the frustration of this one. read more

I will give this target 2 stars. It's WAY better than the atrocious walmart down the street but it's like no other target I've ever been to. I've so often seen people yelling at staff and staff giving it right back yelling or being disrespectful. There is always SOME circus happening there. I just keep an open mind when I go there and hope I have a laugh. The lines ARE slow at times like others have said but actually selection and everything else is ok so it's an ok place to go. I personally live just minutes away tho and drive 15 minutes out of my way to go to another target so that does say something, right?! read more

I got gypped by this branch. Their employee flat out lied to my face about their electronic care plan. She claimed that if my headphones broke that i could walk in with my reciept and get a replacement thanks to this warranty. What a waste!! When my headphones broke no one could or would help me. I've been given the run around by the store and corporate. I just should've never bought anything of value from them. Now I'm shorted out of twenty bucks I'll never get back.
