I knew I would like World Market cause I love me some culture! I heard about this market through a friend and decided to check it out! World Market is somewhat like a home goods except you can get items like candles, throw pillows, picture frames, furniture and of course food items from all over the world! When I arrived, I noticed thier was plenty of parking as I entered the store, I was greeted by a friendly store attendant. I noticed all the creative furniture but what caught my eye was the international snacks! I like how each item had the location of where the food orignated. They had crazy flavor chips. I ended up buying the garlic butter steak dorritos and fried crab lays I believe from Japan. I also got some olive oil from Italy. I spent over an hour in that store and probably could have been there longer if the store wasn't closing. So I stumbled upon this place when I was searching for a stool to add to my living room decor. I ordered for store pickup and was notified once it came in. Parking: a private lot Atmosphere; bright and low noise Service;: amazing the assistant manager, I believe her name was Anesha was so helpful as well as I believe it was Mary & Kay? the cashier. They were so nice and very engaging. they went above and beyond to assist me with pulling up my order getting the proper discount and price adjustment. Not to mention this store has everything you would want to shop for HomeGoods world food that's what's the best part of it. They had indoor decor, outdoor decor, cards, patio furniture, house, furniture, this place rocks being here for a time as well as spend a lot of money! beware! lol! I ended up buying the Hawaiian pineapple, coconut pancake mix , Hawaiian coconut jelly mix And a pack of French citrus Madeleines! Yes, it's already made so I can sample it while I'm in the car ! 4/13/24 I had never been here and it was recommended as an interesting place to go. The parking lot of the shopping center wasn't busy at all and we score front row parking w ease. I like seeing I'm the interesting home decorations. Some things seemed semi reasonable other things very expensive. They did have a great clearance Easter area when we visited and there were some great deals. My favorite part of the store was the international food area. These are non perishable items similar to Marshall's and Home Goods. I liked all the variety and packaging. It would be a great store to fill a gift basket. Also a fun place if you're feeling a little adventurous. They even carry drinks. The cashier was very friendly and there was no line. I would be inclined to go here again if I was back in the area. Fun store to browse. Things are expensive if you go to other places that sell these things but otherwise it is nice to see everything organized and viewable all in one store. Foreign chocolate and other foods from various countries. What is not to love besides the price? The staff member who served me here was friendly although they had a coffee and tea sampling. I wanted to try the coffee too but since it was removed about 45 min before closing, I ended up definitely avoiding buying the tea or coffee potentially. I got foreign kit kats variety (variety is so so), two Portuguese cans, guava juice, passion fruit juice, and a Hibiscus cold pineapple lychee drink. Portugal is known for their cod and squid in a can sounded a bit different. I did like it slightly more than the fish I have had from a can for other cans, but feel the whole fish in a can thing, while cultural apparently, is a bit overly hyped in my opinion too. I don't come to this area often. So tried to get what I could etc. I would recommend only coming in-person to purchase items as too many people have encountered problems with delivery and ordering ahead of time etc. read more

One of the beauties of the World Market is compared to the other shopping in the area. It has top-tier presentation and customer service. It feels like everything is in its place, and the store is cared for which I find to be a rarity these days when purchasing in retail establishments. Also, whoever is working, there is always super helpful and attentive. Personally, I love their international food section because they carry a lot of the items that I will pick when I go overseas and it's nice to have your new favorite snacks local. I also feel that they have an excellent selection of plates, glasses and flatware. They are way more unique than things that you pick up at target or Walmart and there's a lot more personality. My girlfriend and I went to World Market today as they had a find the unicorn scavenger hunt today. If you find one of the four golden unicorn cards spread throughout the store, they will give you a prize up to $100 worth of credit to use in the store. The clue today was, "Golden unicorn, where may you be?" Near a thing that starts with "T". We did not find one of the golden unicorn cards but still had a great time perusing all the unique items in the store. Our haul today included : Hazelnut creme filled puff pastries from Italy, Gluten free marshmallows, Mustard BBQ flavored beef jerky, Australian licorice, among a few other items. How cool is it though to go into a store and come out with a new item each time?! From a different county mind you! I first visited World Market in DC. Really like shopping there. Happy to find this local version that has most of the same items with the exception that the D.C. Store has an extensive wine and beer selection. This store has a nice selection of China and glass and also an area with gourmet food selections that are difficult to find elsewhere. For example chocolate covered marzipan which I really like. Thy also have olive oils and vinegars at reasonable prices. Cookies and jelly from all over the world will tempt you. This store also sells furniture and rugs also reasonably priced. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Finally, I scored some excellent delicious chocolate covered pecans that were on deep discount for .30 a bag. Can not go wrong there. Will be back for sure. read more

This store is, similar to IKEA, is an experience all its own. Lots of weird items.. furniture, silverware, ethnic food items, clothing, jewelry, etc. Some really cool and unique finds, but the prices can be a bit steep for items that are a fraction of the price elsewhere. I like to stop in for hard to find items.. German cooking items and Clearly Canadian soft drinks. I also have purchased chocolates, tiny silverware items for my toddler, and soup spoons that are typically served with Asian soups. This store has a little bit of everything, from kids toys to expensive wall art. It's worth checking out, but just keep an eye on your spending. You might find yourself digging deep into your pockets for just a handful of items. I also feel I should mention that the employees here are really helpful and kind. One gentleman stopped to have a conversation with my toddler, which I thought was sweet. He made it a point to try and understand what she was talking about. Lol. We wanted that one particular table, and six of this particular set of chairs. When I called, they checked and let me know they could hold it until I got there. When I arrived they had everything, although to get to six they also had to have two that were out of the box and assembled. Then, they helped me save money by getting in the savings club, and applying sale prices. Saved $60 even after the sale. Then they brought it all curbside, and got every last thing into the car, which was not a piece of cake. Shout out to great service from multiple people on NYE. read more

I enjoyed my shopping experience. I love the items in this store. There are fun small gifts, stationery items and all kinds of home decor. I really love the design of the products, very colorful and eclectic. Plus, foods that are otherwise hard to find from all over the world. They were out of one of my favorite chocolates, but I am excited to have a place to buy them. When I checked out all went well. They invited me to join their World Market Explorer program. I found it to be a very interesting store. Almost a hybrid of Pier One and Trader Joe's on a smaller scale. The only one they had left was the floor model but the staff was so helpful and friendly! Was in the market for a new door mat for my home. I found a cute "evil eye" mat online for World Market. I had no idea there was an actual store and immediately made plans to check it in person. Upon walking in, I knew I found my new happy place and I could hear my bank account screech! Global chic everything and everywhere! I found things I never knew my home needed. How did I not know this place existed? I consciously practiced restraint until I found my beloved evil eye mat and rushed to the register before I could get into trouble. I really like this store and don't completely understand what people would gripe about. They have lots of cool stuff from all over the world. I like the dinnerware especially the world esthetic from Asian to European sensibilities. This is a place that you can find that things you really didn't know you were looking for and the staff are very friendly as well. NEVER ORDER FROM THIS STORE. I ordered a set of 10 side chairs, 2 arm chairs (Java Grayson) and the Grayson Extension Table on 9/8. I was initially sent the 10 side chairs- one chair was missing a piece and another had a broken piece. I called to notify them of the error and they said they would send me new parts, I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THEM. The 2 arm chairs and the table didn't come. I eventually called to find out that Seko, their delivery service apparently "tried to contact me" to deliver the table. It was a week late and I never got a call/text/email- so I eventually contacted World Market and they told me to call seko. World Market also NEVER SENT the 2 arm chairs. World Market arranged to "reship" a set of arm chairs. I then called Seko, we arranged a time to have the table delivered. Once it arrived, I opened the packaging to find that a portion of the table was BROKEN. I called their customer service (yet again) and they offered to deduct %10 off of the table or I could wait to be resent a new table. Unfortunately the portion that was broken was structurally significant so they had to resend a new table. The arm chairs did finally arrive and so did the new table, but I am still waiting on the broken and missing piece from the 2 side chairs. I will NEVER order from their store AGAIN. So I would like to say that I feel a little mixed about updating this review, as the staff member who handled my experience was very kind and followed up with me via phone today. I received a electronic gift card for Christmas from my in-laws to Cost Plus World Market. No where on the gift card does it say the product can only be used for online sales...so we thought it would make a fun trek to drive 30 minutes to redeem it. I shop, find my items and get to the check out. Cue chaos as 4 employees hunch over the register trying to figure out why my 'card' can't be used. 15 minutes later the manager takes my information, determines I will have to use another form of payment and tells me she will call me tomorrow. Today I receive a phone call saying that this format can only be used for online sales. I have quite honestly never heard of a place that sells gift cards that you can only use online or in the store but not both?! But mostly, I was disappointed that not even staff were aware of this policy. read more

I was able to return 2 online mirrors to the store instead of mailing them back even though the packaging slip stated that online only orders could not be returned to their store. I'm trying to "Konmari" my life and let me tell you, World Market is NOT helping. Forever the fan of the online store, I finally trekked out (twice) to the Lansdale outpost. It's a meca of all things cute and affordable, and they often run sales (30% off all WM-branded food when I was there last). Over and above the fabulous home decor items, they have a terrific gift section (complete with unique gift wrap and other gift-y swag), kitchen ware, jewelry (major weakness in this area!), and terrific foodie fare from around the world. Join their loyalty "Explorer" program - I already got two $10 coupons for (sadly) spending enough and for my birthday. First, let me say, the home selections in this store are fantastic, and the prices, equally great. However, attempting to purchase anything is practically impossible. Window shopping at best. On Friday, mere hours into their grand opening weekend (over 2 weeks after actual opening), I went in for a large light fixture. A great selection, yet only 5-7 boxes actually available for purchase. On day one! Of course the one I chose is out. The sales associate says, "no problem, you can order at the register." Ok, thinking like most stores, I'll pay for it and it comes to my house, worst case I pick up. Sure. I get to the line wrapped around, TWO out of six registers open. Opening day. Finally get to the register and they say I have to do a rain-check; a deposit instead of paying, wait until it comes in stock rather than them actually ordering it for me. Seriously? Now she can't figure out the register. 20 minutes in, she tells me it won't arrive until mid-March. Losing patience. 30 minutes pass, two managers and a CSR still can't do it, they send me to another "maybe she can figure it out." Didn't brief her, and literally ran away. Professional. Luckily, she figured it out, first try. I come back early Sunday morning (hoping it would be less mobbed), take my time, and decide I wanted to exchange the style. "Oh we can't do that, it's non-refundable, it's already in process." 36 hours later, isn't due to arrive for almost 2 months, yet I lose my deposit and must make a new one? Her extremely cold response "ok, we'll refund this one time because we're new." I get to the register to do the 'new' rain-check, and yep, they couldn't work the register, again. I attempted to tell them this occurred Friday night, but they didn't want to hear it. 15 minutes in, they finally push the right buttons, and blame MY card. After all of that did they seriously just point their poor training at the customer?! My card works just fine, thanks. And, funny, when I purchased items in-store, the cards worked perfectly. The ONE time they could have appropriately said "sorry, we're new," they blame the customer. Let me be clear, contrary to the manager's statement, the above deposit issue had nothing to do with being "new.' When you shop at this store, only go with the intentions of window shopping, then go home to order online. read more

Found the store quite by accident, but what a hidden gem. That is, if you can consider having The Home Depot as your neighbor being hidden! Lots of unique food and oddball items you're not likely to find elsewhere. Very friendly, helpful staff. read more
