I own a rental house and one of their salesman, Dalton Davis, knocked on the door and falsely told my tenants that I had sent him there to inspect the roof to see about replacing it. He wanted them to give him my phone number but they were suspicious and did not but instead contacted me. Obviously if I had sent him there he would already have my phone number. I told them it was a scam as I did not send him there and had no idea who they were. Just to let others beware of this company running scams and lying to people, would never do business with a company with these type of dishonest sales tactics. Definitely would not use again. I was able to get someone out to our house pretty quickly, but that's where the service stops. I reached out multiple times and was never contacted back by the office. Then finally, someone contacted me back, we were able to get someone out. I've been asking for an inspection report to provide for over a week now and no one's yet to email, text or call me back. 2.5 stars, for now. Our experience with Tarrant Roofing is ongoing and mixed. They had done some spot repairs about 18 months ago that seemed good, but our 30+ year old roof needed replacing entirely so we chose them. I hope and have to assume they're doing a good job with the actual work of roofing. They worked with USAA, our insurer, to file a claim that covers the job. We pay the deductible and USAA has been extremely generous with what it's funding. 100% of a $100,000+ claim is going to Tarrant. We have a large roofline and are replacing a metal roof, which is more costly than traditional shingles. It took months for the materials to arrive, and once work began the crews quickly stripped the old metal tiles. I stayed out of the way since lots of debris was coming off the roof. After a few rows of the new metal shingles were up I realized they were not the ones we selected. They're a completely different color than we chose and clash with the new exterior paint and gutters we added only 7 months ago. It totally changes the look of our house for the worse. They ascribe the error to a miscommunication involving us, the supplier who sent us samples, and their rep. In my opinion, once we both sent a photo and handed the rep the physical sample of what we wanted, it was on them to ensure it was what they ordered--they're the roofing professionals, not us. To save themselves a lot of money, Tarrant has offered to repaint our house and we've opted to accept this course of action to keep from leaving our roof unshingled for months to come while the proper shingles were ordered. I appreciate that they've offered solutions. Now we're going through choosing a new color and having more contractors on site for longer periods, all for an outcome that I'm incredibly disappointed with. We had spent a lot of energy, time, and money last year to make the color choices with our painting and gutter contractors to get our house looking really good, and this one error has changed it all. I can only hope the installation at least is solid and protects our home for decades to come--and that whenever we sell that buyers don't find the new roof and paint colors off-putting. The reps have always spoken with us professionally so we have no complaints about personal interactions. read more

I was fully prepared to give this business a five-star rating going into our roof replacement yesterday. The crew showed up on time, and they worked hard throughout the day until past dark. However, once they left (without us knowing they were leaving for the day), we went out to our third-floor balcony and were shocked to see the ladder extending from the sidewalk below with unencumbered access to our balcony and, thus, our house. We have a three-story free-standing townhome, and there was also a ladder from the balcony to the roof. That one did not concern us, but the ladder from the street was a huge security risk! For context, we live in Oak Lawn, a half-block from where someone was robbed and murdered on the street two nights prior. I called our rep, and they sent someone out late last night to remove the ladder. Unfortunately, the crew had chained the ladder to the fence, making it impossible for him to completely remove it. He was able to move it off the balcony and have it rest on the top of the fence. Any thief with ambition could have very easily pulled the ladder back to position it to land on the balcony. Needless to say, we didn't sleep very well. At 11:17pm, three policemen were captured on our doorbell camera looking around our house and checking the door to ensure it was locked. I don't know if it was related to them noting the ladder against our fence, but it was an unusual and disturbing sight! The work was completed today without further incident, and our sales rep (Mike Spain) checked afterward with us. He has been phenomenal through the process. However, we asked him to check with the management team at Tarrant Roofing to see if they could provide a discount based on our experience and the personal risk they created for us. The management team at TR offered exactly nothing, not even a token for an apology. There are many roofing companies in this area. Find one that not only does a great job at a reasonable price, but one that will own up to their shortcomings. I'd rate the rep a 5; the crew a 4 (despite that issue); and the company a zero based on how they chose to (not) handle our issue. read more

We had extremely bad experience with Tarrant Roofing, they are dishonest and corrupt in their business practices to say the least, I have been a builder and investor for the past 25 years, while we had one of our property in Irving which was under contract, we just had the roof repaired by a professional company it was perfect the next day the buyer called Tarrant Roofing company to inspect the roof, Calub Bottleberghe showed up to the property went up the roof ripped shingles off caused major damage around the chimney and dug holes many areas in the hopes of getting another roof job. we almost filed a police report, We had video and pic evidence of what he did to the roof....stay away from this company..they are corrupt and willing to damage the roof just to get another job thanks read more

I have a 2 year old roof on my house and have now had no less than 5 leaks. When you call they tell you the warranty department will get back with you and every time it has taken no less than 3 calls to get someone to call you back. I am now on 1 week in on 2 current leaks on the roof. This is if you can get the office to answer the phone rather than their answering service that can only pass a message along. My next step is to just go to their office to speak with someone. read more

they used the cheapest material and overcharged us. Contractors they sent to do the job were totally unprofessional and may have damaged our roof more than repairing it. I will follow up with insurance and research of my own to get to the bottom of this mess we are in. They have charged us with over 11k for cheapest roof material. Which should have been 6k at most. Tarrant roofing salesman Mike took advantage of my wife's trustful nature and I feel he took every measure to rip us off so they can pocket the money themselves. I am noticing that this company is having a lot of RECENT bad reviews online and complaints with the BBB....BE AWARE..... PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! do not use this company. They have gotten paid over $$$ 24K dollars to replace the roof on my home!!! however this company did not properly seal the dryer vent to the vent cap correctly which poses a fire hazard and threat AS WELL AS THEY ARE NOT TAKING OWERNSHIP for their lack of craftsmanship...as they did not fix my exhaust to the vent-a-hood properly and they will not come back and make it right. Mr. Edgar Gonzalez Sr. is EVEN BEING very ADAMANT with telling me that I am responsible for the damages that his crew made to the vent-a-hood when, in actuality, it was their lack of craftsmanship and workmanship with incorrectly connecting the exhaust vent pipe and the cap...now I am stuck with a disconnected open pipe in my attic, and at risk for a grease fire due to half of the grease and half of the heat is going into my attic and the other half is going into the pipe; not to mention...rodents and other creatures having direct access to my home. I disagree with having to pay this company any more monies and have asked Amanda, Malcolm, and Marino Cerventes to have a manager or someone over Mr. Edgar Gonzalez Sr. and over Hector Flores to contact me back; I was assured that someone would call me back, but to this date...I have yet to have a return phone call from a manager or any individual to take full ownership for this company's lack of craftsmanship and make their wrongs right. SAD, Sad, sad professionalism and a very unethical company. UPDATE: After I posted my initial review on 07/25/2023, I received a phone call the next day on 07/26/2023 from Mr. Hector Flores stating that he was coming by THE SAME day to complete the errors that they did not complete correctly to my dryer vent. I shared with Mr. Flores, that same day calls and expectations to show up are not good for me, because I have other appointments scheduled. We set an appointment for this Friday, 07/28/2023 @ 11am; I also asked Mr. Flores about repairing the vent-a-hood/capping the pipe off and he shared with me that whatever was wrong, he was willing to look at them on the date he comes out and complete the job and make the wrong issues right for me. Fast forward to today, Friday, 07/28/2023 at 11 am...Hector Flores does NOT show up...he sends over his 21 year old son who brings with him a used bent up part that has 4 drilled holes on EACH corner of the part. His son is very unprofessional, rude, arrogant, and was unwilling to even look at and address the open vent-a-hood component. I explained that his father (Hector Flores) shared with me that he was going to look at both components and not only one. The son gave me Hector's phone number and when I called Mr. Hector Flores, he stated he had to talk with Mr. Edgar Gonzalez. When I shared with Mr. Flores that he was the one who completed the work and he gave me his word on that previous Wednesday that he was going to come over and fix whatever was not correct...Mr. Flores would not give an explanation. About an hour later, Edgar Gonzalez called me and continued to obfuscate the TRUTH and the TRUE issue at hand...which is subcontracting out below par craftsmanship in Tarrant Roofing LLC work, service, and products and still refusing to acknowledge the wrongs and fix the errors. read more

TLDR; Tarrant Roofing didn't want to right their wrong. Details: During the process of selling my home, the buyers agent requested an inspection for the roof. Keep in mind, there were no leaks or other known issues. Austin with Tarrant Roofing came out and inspected the roof claiming there was hail damage everywhere and made a report including that and about insurability. Naturally, that scares the buyers into thinking the roof has to be replaced so they request that I replace it. At the word of Austin and his assessment, I agree to replace the roof because he is so confident that insurance will see his report and side with us. The next steps with the insurance company are nothing like what Austin assures me will happen. 1) Insurance denies the claim as the amount of "pings" are TWO(2) and you need a minimum of TEN(10) per square foot. So we're only at 20% of the necessary minimum. They also note there hasn't been any sizeable hail where I live within the past 3 years that would justify this claim, as well as note there are no other signs evident of hail like on fence or anything else. 2) Austin assures me this is the game the insurance company plays and we will get another adjuster to review it and Austin of Tarrant Roofing will walk with them showing them all details while making a much more in-depth report. He sends his report over, however no response. I have to get involved with insurance to escalate the call to management since they are not responsive to Tarrant Roofing. Speaking with management results in a very matter of fact "we're doing nothing because this is not from hail" and regurgitated the previous story about the details/facts - and you really can't argue with facts. Up against a time line I have no choice but to stop waiting for this pipe dream of insurance paying for a roof to take place and pay out of pocket to replace an entire roof for damages Tarrant Roofing states are on the roof yet don't exist. Well...maybe 20% of them do but not like the verbiage of what scared the buyers in the original report. I accept I got suckered into this sales tactic, however I expect(and was assured by Austin) that he and Tarrant Roofing would help me out to make it right since their deceptive report was what started this mess. That process was like buying a new car of back and forth on numbers, running it up the flagpole for management, only to find out they don't want to match the competitions cash price. I had numerous quotes, only dealing in reputable companies that have been around 15+ years, not cutting corners and comparing apples to apples to ensure we fulfill our contractual obligation and that the buyers have a warranty that is worth more than just the paper it's written on. At the end of it, we're a little less than $1000 off from making a deal because there's not enough money in it and they don't' want to have to deal with it in case there is an issue down the road, per Austin. I again asked if he was sure he and management wanted to make that decision and that little amount was worth having an unhappy customer over. So there's the review guys. I hope it's worth less than $1000 from a company that has countless crews, trucks, 100+ sales associates and more. That's what spoke volumes to me - Tarrant Roofing is such a Goliath company that they wouldn't notice losing under $1000(while still profiting) and gaining a satisfied customer at the end of the day. PS - like other reviews mention, Tarrant Roofing ignores no soliciting/no trespassing signs as I received two different soliciting attempts and/or cards on my door within the last year...and I have exact verbiage of what my city requires so it makes me wonder if they have bothered to obtain proper permitting to canvas neighborhoods? He was very knowledgeable about the process, respectful to us, and constantly wore a mask when going over the details about the roof install and insurance process. Due to the severe weather last night, I would recommend that all prospective clients seek their roofing installation and repair services elsewhere. I am an Active Duty Air Force member and I used this roofing company in July of 2019 and paid nearly $15k to have the installation completed. However, they only sealed halfway around 2 vents and caused nearly $3k worth of water damage to the interior of my home. Their technician even took pictures of the unsealed portions and I was able to get those from him prior to him finishing those areas 6 months after initial install. I contacted them personally allowing the company to do the right thing. They sent another 2 technicians who arrived approximately 1-hour late and smelling of alcohol. Furthermore these technicians proceeded to ask me for supplies to complete the repair. At that point I asked them to leave and contacted USAA to intervene on my behalf. I was forced to pay for the repairs through my insurance company and Tarrant Roofing has refused to reimburse me for their mistakes. Their failure to take ownership and responsibility of such an aggregious error speaks to the quality of people and business acumen. It has been nearly 1-year since EXL (USAA's) third-party company has been trying to recover my deductible and Tarrant Roofing has decided to no longer answer or return phone calls. As a 17-year active duty servicemember I could never, out of good faith, recommend anyone to use this company for any and all services they perform. Better options exist in Fort Worth and most likely anywhere else in the Country for that matter to conduct business with. read more

Does this company realize their wrapped trucks are rolling billboards? One of their guys (who I did a background search on and has DWI/DUIs on his record) was swerving back and forth, tailgating and cutting people off on 199 and then trying to pass another person on the on ramp to 820 where the 2 lanes merge to on. He continued this on 820 East. I called the phone number on the truck not realizing it went to the person driving the truck. He was just as rude as his driving. I called the company directly twice and was told the owner Danny would get back to me. A week later....crickets. Besides all this they put a roof on my house several years ago and it was a horrible mess. They had to come out a 2nd time and it wasn't much better. Will never use them again. If you value your life and your roof I recommend you don't use them. read more

All we asked for was for someone to communicate with us about the status of our gutters. Thank goodness it hasn't rained in the past 8 weeks since we had them work on our roof and they left us with no gutters. The site manager was contacted and to our surprise he quit. So I called the CO and he provided an excuse that had nothing to do with the unfinished work. It's been two months we still don't have gutters. Called USAA to inform them of this company's work ethic to ensure that future homeowners do not use this company. Hopefully this review will expedite our gutters so we can move on from this experience. read more

I had high hopes that Tarrant Roofing would be superior (at least better than) all the previous roofing companies I have dealt with since living in the DFW area. Tarrant Roofing fell far short of any of them. The sales rep didn't show up for the meeting to set a date for work to begin. Once a date was set, it was postponed by one week. Once work started, the workers went three hours over anticipated finish time, did a very poor job of cleaning up after themselves (nails all over the place), and caused damage to my neighbors fence, unbeknownst to me. My neighbor was under the impression I was to give him a check for the damages. This did not set well with me. Getting Tarrant Roofing to respond to my anger at this seems to have fallen on deaf ears - I am still waiting for an explanation. It has been many years since I last had my roof replaced, so I was very surprised when Tarrant Roofing required the bulk of the fees be paid up front, before work was even scheduled or begun. Is this something new, nowadays? Tarrant Roofing started out with 5 stars, went to 4 stars because they blew off the first meeting and din't inform me - I had to call them to reschedule, then went to 3 stars because the workers were three hours late finishing up and not policing the area very well afterwards, then 2 stars because of the 'neighbor issue', decreased to 1 star because of a subcontractor needed to finish some work didn't respond to fix the issue for over a week. I don't write reviews too often, but I had to share my parents' great experience with Andrew Smith and Tarrant Roofing. Tarrant fixed my folks' roof after a storm earlier this year and did a fantastic and quick job. Over the Thanksgiving holidays we noticed a small leak in one of the bedrooms, so Dad called Andrew. Andrew came out within 3 hours, identified the problem and sent someone out to fix it before the expected rains this weekend. Andrew also just called to set up a time to send someone out to touch up the paint in the bedroom. I am so impressed with the integrity and quick, courteous service of Andrew and Tarrant! As a daughter of older parents, I especially appreciate people who take care of my folks with the same care as I would if I were local. One of the company's sales associates, Matt Blunt, left a flyer on my door today right next to the No Soliciting sign that's on the door. In addition, I have a large No Soliciting sign in the ground next to the door stating the city ordinance. I called the company but the person I spoke to did not seem overly concerned. When I explained what happened, I had to ask if they wanted the name of the sales associate. That should have been the first thing asked of me. I would never hire a company whose employees so blatantly ignore the law while trying to generate business. read more
