Stayed here for 2 months. Their PT and OT were exceptional. Nursing was excellent. CNAs and RAs were kind, helpful and did their job. As in the health field, staffing is a huge concern. Be kind and patient. The place was clean and smelled good. The food could've been better; but you could order out if needed. I met many nice people and have kept in touch. read more

My wife's mom stayed for 4 months at Tarrytown Hall for rehab. Unfortunately, the stay was a disaster from beginning to end. She was admitted in mid-September '21 and the first problem was she got no rehab whatsoever for the first 10 days until we complained. The rehabilitation room was "Under renovation", but no work was being done, so patients were being treated bedside or at an alternate site, but she still had no PT. The lead social worker was the one we dealt with and she was great (Unfortunately, she had to be the point person cleaning up all other departments messes with patients' families). Next, My mother-in-law was given roommate after roommate that had absolutely nothing wrong with them physically, but clearly were mentally ill homeless women who were being warehoused at Tarrytown Hall ( This is a horrid violation - They were clearly admitting these women to keep the beds full). The final straw was when we were visiting, her roommate barricaded herself into the room and wouldn't let anyone back in. Security had to come and bust in. This same patient was removed to a room on the second floor and after an assault incident the following week, she was taken away by Tarrytown Police. On multiple occasions, the nursing staff would not change her leg dressings every day, multiple times they plain didn't show up and again we had to complain to get anything done. I was there several times and actually had to ask nursing staff to "Keep it down" as My wife's mom's room was near the nursing station and second shift would have these insanely loud conversations - Hooting and laughing and even shouting at times. When I asked them to be quiet the third time, I got a nasty response that was completely inappropriate from a female staff member. I asked her for her name (She was not wearing ID, and she refused to tell me her name!). Finally, We had my wife's mom moved to The Kensington in White Plains in January. After she left, there was an outstanding bill for $25,000 - $14K was to be paid by the private insurance carrier and 11K was out of pocket. Tarrytown Hall called repeatedly and asked my wife to "Please pay the whole thing "And we'll reimburse you the 14 K after private insurance pays us" Again, WILDLY inappropriate, and I'm so glad we refused, because my wife paid the $11k 2 months ago and they still haven't cashed the check - Had we paid that $25K, we NEVER would have been reimbursed, I an 100% certain. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, It was a 3 month nightmare that I regret to this day. There are terrible things happening medically, financially, and ethically at Tarrytown Hall on a daily basis. I cannot recommend that anyone send their loved ones to this facility. read more

I stayed in the Tarrytown Rehabilitation for 3 months from April -July 2023 after severe spine surgery...The staff , nurses and all the therapists were always very kind , compassionate and friendly...They had activities always planned for the residents in the rec rooms so that was nice and enjoyable...The food was my only real issue during my stay, I did not enjoy it , it could've been better...lol..I will really miss all the staff there and I made some great friends with other residents as well who I will also miss and might even come by every now and then to visit everyone there..Thank you for helping me recover and get home to my family who I missed as quick as possible read more

This Workplace is truly a nightmare. There are so many Lazy employees to count, always understaffed, understaffed and understaffed, Let me mention a few. Housekeeping who can't seem to keep facility clean, despite the irony of the title. Employees that you need to watch your back on for, I call her little Ms. Bullilly from admissions. She's known for her reputation of brown nosing or a kiss ass to her boss who's Belly is bigger than her ideas. Bulilly fancies herself regal, the unmatched queen of domain. Keep an eye on her, she thinks highly of herself despite her diminutive stature, she has a knack for making you feel foolish while presenting herself best. She works closely with the head who bore a striking physical resemblance to Fiona, but possessed an attitude as fierce as Ursula - She's the donkey of Fiona who faithfully walked by her side wherever she went - this 2 loves the idea of power. If this 2 Disney cast members believes that sitting in a cushy office chair, sipping their overpriced coffee, and brown-nosing the bosses could equate to intelligence and can qualify to get a position in this facility, then we could certainly qualify as a genius. So before you bring your precious fam here think more than twice, because if they are able to retain employees who prioritize their own ego over genuinely caring for others, it raises concerns about their ability to support and prioritize the well-being of your love ones, Just saying! read more

Enter At Your Own Risk!! READ ARTICLE in Paper HUDSON INDEP. Nov 2012 ------------------------------------------------ An 86 year old resident DIED at this Tarrytown N.Y. nursing home. On 10/24/2012, two certified nurse's aides were arrested for allegedly causing the death of this resident. While the aid was transferring the resident from the bed to the wheelchair the resident fell to the floor - she was left there bleeding, with broken bones. The aid who left the resident on the floor bleeding asked another aid to cover up her tracks. And in doing so the resident passed away 2 hours later at Westchester Medical Center, NY. (Ref. The Hudson Independent, Nov 2012) Now is this the sort of place you want to have your parents live in? This nursing home should be shut down or the head of the nursing home should be let go for not running a facility that does not protect it residents safety. read more

Traveled from Dallas Ga. to visit with resident under very difficult circumstances. Encountered a well informed, sympathetic, compassionate, caring and professional staff on all levels. Facility is well kept and the residents are cared for and treated with the upmost respect and privacy. As a health care provider my self, the professionalism and candor of the medical, nursing, cna, rehab and social workers was refreshing and very helpful. They certainly made a very sad and difficult period of time for our family almost, bearable. read more

My Mother had a 2 week stay after surgery in early summer. I found staff to be accommodating and pleasant to our needs and requests. The rehab department had my mother home much quicker than anticipated when she was at the hospital. read more

My Mother in Law and Mom and Dad are at Tarry-Hall Rehab. My mother in law has been there for 3 years and it is for that reason I chose to have Mom and Dad go there as well 4 weeks ago!!. The staff there is so caring and so helpful and not once in 3 years have I ever been disappointed in any actions they have taken. I find that whenever I have a puzzled look on my face a nurse is sure to stop and ask if you could help. When Mom and Dad arrived Dad said if I knew it were this nice I would have come here months ago! Mom and Dad have been married 73 years so the staff has been so wonderful in making sure they were always given little extra's like moving to two beds closer , or taking the serving tables and putting them together in the front of the room so they could sit together and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, just as though they were at home. Dad has been doing double duty since Mom broke her hip 10 years ago and he sure loves the service and food. When I am there when they have dinner Mom always asks how can I ask them to get less food I cannot eat this much. Last Saturday they had chicken legs and I could not let them be wasted...my hats off to the chef. There are many needs when one has to make such emotional changes in their life and I can say besides care I was gentled guided by the financial office who to get help from to fill out all those Medicade forms. I can also say that the social workers have been to my aid every time I have questions and even answered my questions written after hours... All in all a wonderful place to go and be with WONDERFUL STAFF. I plan to volunteer my time when visiting my family to visit others that haven't any family anymore. By gosh and by golly a win win...Thank YOU EVERYBODY AT TARRY HALL!! read more
