Are you kidding me?!?!? We just stopped by for a cake tasting (brother-in-law getting married) and this is probably the best cake I have ever had. We tried a chocolate, a lemon, a vanilla bean, an espresso, and a marble cake. It was crazy that they were all my favorite. It was nearly impossible to choose. The buttercream frosting was incredibly smooth and the blend of the flavors were just incredible. They also make all of their own pastries and syrups and all that jazz. If you are in the mood for a coffee or tea, they also serve that. Just do yourself a favor and check this place out. Really cute, quaint, and they are just getting started too! While I was not blown away by the selection or the cupcake i got for my son here, I did really like the service and am guessing that this is more of a place to preorder a cake for a special occasion than a dine in cafe. Really not much to chose from in the small shop, I did not see anything that caught my eyes, my son wanted a cupcake so we purchased one to go. Prices are a bit high and it was tiny, but it did taste good and was very fresh. My wife and I used Taste & Sea to make our wedding cake. We were pretty nervous about the cake, as we've been to many weddings where the cake looked nice, but didn't taste great. So, we ended up sampling cakes at many, many places. We finally settled on Taste & Sea and we are SO happy we did!!! Not only did the cake look exactly how we wanted it to, but it tasted amazing! It had no fondant. Instead, it used a buttercream frosting that was tasty and creamy, but had that beautiful, smooth texture that most wedding cakes require. It also used a thick, soft, flavorful cake, that was pretty unique as far as wedding cakes go. It's been 3 weeks since the wedding and we are still getting complements on how good the cake was! If you are considering having Taste & Sea make your wedding cake, I HIGHLY recommend that you do. The cakes are beautiful and delicious, but more importantly, the service is amazing. The design process was easy, we gave them our idea and Brittany brought it to life exactly how we wanted it. The cakes delivery and handling and setup was all taken care of for us. I've only just had their macaroons so far- but if everything else is as good if not better than those macaroons- I may just try to live in this shop and eat everything instead. Had a princess cake a couple months ago that my wife ordered for our anniversary and it was the best princess cake I've ever had, everything about it was so tasty. Proportions of cake to custard and whipped cream was spot on, and marzipan was thin but not too thin. I'd get this cake again, it was one of the best I've had. It was hard to pick between the few cakes we tried because they were all great, so a good problem to have I think.
