We knew we were not able to pick our flavors by ordering this way, but figured Little Cakes would send a representative sample, which I assume they did. I'm not sure which flavors were in our box because they weren't labeled. I wanted to know what we were eating, but I had to dig through many past reviews to identify most of them. The 6 flavors received in the 1/2-dozen box were: * Vanilla * Chocolate * Almond Champagne * German Chocolate * Something Marshmallow-Topped * Something Chocolate--Topped with Thin Vanilla Icing and Vanilla Buttercream All the cupcakes were of average size and were decorated nicely enough. Albeit the cake part on all the cakes were a bit dry. It was difficult to discern a specific flavor on a few, so I've come to the conclusion that garnishing must be their gift. Most of the 'vanilla' flavors, were indistinguishable in flavor from one another, except for the Almond Champagne, which had a cloying almond paste filling, and too much filling to cake ratio. Of particular concern was that the frosting on all seemed to be off in ratios of butter to shortening. I suspect there was an over abundance of shortening in all the cupcakes, which to me, is not palatable, nor is it delicious or anything resembling what a good cupcake should be. They miss the mark in my opinion. Due to the high prices and the fact that the frosting on all the cupcakes was cloying and poorly prepared with what I suspect was too much shortening, and not enough icing sugar, I would likely not buy cupcakes from Little Cakes Kitchen again.

I ended up having to run to Costco at 12pm on the day of my shower to pick up just a regular cake because this cake was just THAT BAD we had to throw it away. The cake was leaning on one side, which eventually fell over. She said the cake would be 3D! HA! Not even close! It was suppose to have strawberries and raspberries with Custer filling and there was NOT ONE Strawberry or Raspberry or Custer and it was all just the breading. To top it off she blamed her delivery guy and said the reason it was all messed up on the bottom was because her delivery guy said he hit a pot hole on the way there. Yet still charged us full price! I don't who made those cakes on her website but our cake was nothing like the one we picked on her site. You will loose your first payment of $75.00 as the initial deposit for her work. Then she will demand the remaining amount and not even show up to deliver her "Masterpiece". I wish I was able to post pictures so you all could see what her real work looks like!
