Headed to this location after making our way to the top of the mountain via the cable cars. It's easy to find with plenty of good signage. Most every seat offers a great view and there is bar or table service for did and drinks. Try a rum runner! Service was quick and the prices were reasonable for being the only real food and beverage seating area. Bartender was very nice and walked us through a few of the local popular items. The only real place to eat up here on Paradise point, but the food was pretty good. We just had chips salsa queso. The chips were a bit stale, but with as humid as it's been all day, it doesn't surprise me. But they were still good. This also was a little garlic, but not bad. The queso was excellent. We also got some drinks at Bahama breeze and their specialty which was called a Bushwacker delight. Both of them are good strong enough, but not too strong. Very refreshing. The Bushwackers delight was a frozen drink with Bailey's. Nice place to sit with a beautiful view and a nice breeze. read more

This place is at the top of the Skyline tram not far from the port. And I have to say... the views alone are worth it!! It's so beautiful up here! The prices aren't terrible, given that this is clearly a tourist destination. But, it's honestly reasonable. What's more, the drinks were quite potent, so they weren't skimping on the hooch! The food was decent; we only ordered the nachos as we weren't that hungry, but they were satisfying. The real reason to visit, though, is the view. It's stunning! They have plenty of covered seating as well, so you get a respite from the sun if needed. It's one of those places you'll visit on your tropical vacation and think, "Remember that place with the drinks where we looked down on the port?" Yeah... it's quite memorable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food/drinks came quickly. It's a great destination to relax and unwind with a drink or two. read more

Update: so I have to update my review as someone, I assume the owner, came out to announce that there had been a credit card "hack" impacting all US banking, and that only cash would be taken. Obviously first thing we did was look on our phones and saw nothing. Now this is fine if you prefer cash simply pay that your credit card machine is down or otherwise but no need to make an elaborate story about it. All the other shops in the area were taking credit cards just fine. We paid cash, so no issues but again just the approach. --- Review based on drinks and atmosphere. Can't go wrong I mean we took the Skyride and it was a gorgeous view. Once up here plenty of shops, and "taste at paradise point" for drinks. Had to get the Bushwacker Delight, and it did not disappoint. Refreshing for 9 AM drink lol Beautiful views and friendly staff. We did not order food as we went elsewhere, but would definitely recommend stopping up here for drinks and the atmosphere. And plenty of seating. read more

If you're not afraid of heights this is definitely a must try when visiting the Virgin Islands. The ride up can certainly be scary but the views at the top make it all the worth while. I didn't try any food while there but the Bushwhacker drink I had was delicious. Highly recommend. read more

First things first.... You can't beat the view! A beautiful setting at the top of a skylift overlooking Charlotte Amelie and the cruise port, you can expect to pay premium prices for dining at Taste. The drinks, not terribly priced, are stout and delicious--the Bushwhacker is their specialty. The menu looks great...with nachos, blackened fries, jerk chicken, smash burgers, and more. The prospects are good, the location was great, and service (they automatically add tips, so beware) was adequate. The food.... Didn't live up. The queso is clearly out of a can, though the jerk chicken dip and sandwich were good. The fries ($5 up charge from chips...don't bother) were cold and bland. It's okay for drinks and snackage, but don't expect to get what you pay for. read more

Superbly fantastic views are the big draw here, and you will have multiple options for tasty adult beverages while enjoying that view. Some are pre-made, but that's not a bad thing. You will, however, be potentially disappointed in the food provided. At best, I would call it very average, and with an "I don't care" service level. Go for the great view and drinks. The positives - the view heading up, the view and picture opportunities once at the top, and the staff were all friendly. The OKs - a couple shops at the top where you can buy relatively generic St Thomas souvenirs (nothing specific to Paradise Point if that's what you're looking for). Also, their website says there are "many" local souvenir shops when there really are just 3-4, and they seem to actually be operated by the same people. Drinks at the bar/restaurant were decent but understandably a bit expensive. The bad - the food and drink menu on their website hasn't been updated in several years. A "local" lobster and shrimp roll on their website is advertised as costing $20 including French fries. As of December 2024, it is $28 with a $5 up charge for fries, so a 65% price increase over what's on their published menu. The quality was also terrible. It was very shredded lobster and baby/salad shrimp in a sauce that was questionable (one of us had an upset stomach for 12+ hours after eating it, and it was our only meal of the day). Overall, I'd recommend the trip up for the views and picture opportunities, but have one drink and definitely eat somewhere else. read more

Fun local spot with an amazing view. We didn't spend so much time as we were only there for a few hours on a cruise-- but the tram ride up was fun, got to get some souvenirs from the gift shops, took amazing photos because the view is spectacular up there. Colorful, vibrant, good and quick food. Our server was so sweet and provided a lot of local knowledge. We will be back to visit next year again. 10/10. read more

Very disappointed. Apparently this restaurant is only open 'Cruise Days'.The day that a cruise ship is port. Other wise it is a no go.

We arrived at 9 a.m., which is when the sky lift allows you to go up. This place is open, they take our drink order, bring us the drink, we try to order food and they say the kitchen doesn't open until 10 a.m. So we wait. After an hour, we finally get to order food. Ordered lobster fritters with NO lobster in them and a lobster shrimp roll that was cold and on a very hard bun, served with fries that obviously came from a distributor and not fresh. It was not good. Our bill was $65. Skip this. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

Please do not waste your time with this place. Went there as one of the stops in our cruise and we had the worst experience ever. I am a disabled veteran who needs a cane to walk, we never been to this place so we do not know how the process to order food is, after waiting for a while for someone to take our order at one of the tables my wife decides to go to the bar to place our order, so I stayed sitting at our table and one of the waitresses told me that I needed to get out. I explained to her what was happening and she said that whatever order was placed at the bar needed to be consumed at the bar. She didn't cared even after I told her that we waited and nobody came and that I am a disabled person. So I go to the bar to check on my wife and the bartender then tells me that I have to move out of the line, and I am just standing next to my wife and he sees me walking with a cane. These people dont care about ppl with disabilities and they sure do not know how to treat costumers and tourists. Some ppl at the cruise also had a bad experience at this place. We travel regularly and this place is definitely in our no to visit again list. This is just bad business. read more
