Seats and tables are comfortable and service is quick with attentive servers. All of their cocktails were unique, beautiful, and flavorful. -Gulabo (left): was a light and refreshing vodka cocktail super cute and pink -Pink Palace (right): mezcal that will make your heart melt, especially after trying the raspberry salt coated rim -Hari Pari: Reaallly good, I don't like gin so I subbed for vodka and I was very pleased -Let's Get Tammered: My husband was obsessed with the heat from this one -Punjab da sher: Husband loved this as well The dinner menu was a great sampler of what the restaurant has to offer and honestly we loved everything that we tried. Star of the show would have to be the fish basant, super crispy and with a little bit of heat. The vindaloo pork belly tonkatsu was so well cooked and crispy on the outside but light on the inside. Make sure to order garlic naan on the side, we wish we ordered a second portion to take home that's how good it was. Definitely check them out, it's being added to the rotation for us.

The lighting throughout the restaurant was warm and elegant, and both the interior and exterior created a very inviting atmosphere. From an ambiance standpoint, Basant definitely delivered. Service -- 5/5 The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. They checked on us regularly to make sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Everyone we interacted with made us feel comfortable and well taken care of, and I have nothing negative to say about the hospitality. Food -- 2/5 Unfortunately, the food is where the experience fell short for me. I frequent Indian restaurants and one of the things I love most about Indian cuisine is the incredible depth and layering of flavors. Here, I just didn't experience that. The Gobi Manchurian was especially surprising. I'm accustomed to recognizable cauliflower florets, but these were minced and formed into almost meatball-like pieces. The sauce provided plenty of heat, but to me it was mostly spice without the complexity of flavor I was expecting. I was also surprised not to see a tikka masala option. I ordered a tomato-based soup and even tried adding rice to give it a little more substance, but it still lacked the depth of flavor I've experienced at other Indian restaurants. Ironically, the highlight of the meal for me was the garlic naan it was delicious. Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, but for an Indian restaurant, the food ultimately has to be the star, and unfortunately that was the weakest part of my experience. 3/5 overall.

The food was excellent. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian, Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani, and Chana Masal. We ordered the Gobi Manchurian hot spicy and it was very spicy but great flavor. The other dishes we ordered were medium spicy and still had great spice to it. The two things I think were a BIG miss... 1) The Naan is TERRIBLE. I don't know how a place messes up naan. But reading the rest of the reviews, I'm not the only one who felt this way. It was hard and very dry. 2) The chicken pieces were HUGE. In our dish we had 3 pieces of chicken but they were big chunks and when serving to others, this doesn't go over well. Chicken should be cut into smaller pieces. Otherwise I would highly recommend this place. But please fix the Naan issue!

For mains we got an assortment or naan and Malai Kofta, Shrimp Saag, and the Lamb Rogan Josh. Everything was so yummy, and I appreciated how none of the dishes were soaked in oil. Don't skip out on dessert, too - the mango tres leches cake was perfect. Will definitely come back!! One of my new favorites.

Their sambhar is actually very good and not too watery like at some other restaurants. I also enjoy their gobi manchurian and lentils with rice. The orders are usually pretty quick on Uber Eats. The food is simple and feels like comfort food. One nice thing is that if your order has a few items, they sometimes include a free tikka pasta.

I tried the karam kick dosa, masala dosa, veg biryani, bhindi masala, kadai paneer, naan and roti. The vegetables and paneer came with sides of rice, and the biryani came with a side of raita. I liked both the dosas, but would not recommend getting them delivered because they became quite soggy. This isn't the restaurant's fault, because that does tend to happen to dosa when it's no longer piping hot. I considered putting the dosas on the stove for a few minutes or reheating them in the air fryer, but didn't end up doing it - if you do get the dosa delivered, perhaps you can try doing that to recreate the crispiness/freshness. Overall, highly recommend this place for delivery! Will definitely order again.

We keep coming back, not only for the food but also for the consistently great service. The menu is simple and thoughtfully curated--not complicated or overwhelming, which I really appreciate. They're also generous with the ingredients, which makes every visit even more satisfying. Great food, great service, and a place we're always happy to come back to.

She got the Taco Trio app which had three pieces of tacos filled with curried lamb, kerala Barbacoa and vindaloo chicken, all topped with cilantro and onions. A great dish for trying different kinds of their curry. The taco shell was not fried so it would not be too greasy. I got the Lamb Shank Vindaloo entree. The shank was medium sized, served over a rich, slightly spicy curry. My server told me the dish was already very spicy so I asked for mild. It turned out to be much less spicy than I expected so it was deserve trying even if you do not eat much spicy food. It was served with basmati rice. We also shared the Ghee Roasted Cauliflower. It was a whole cauliflower par-boiled then roasted. Topped with cheese and served with yogurt and mint chutney. The cauliflower had a distinct taste from cumin and turmeric, while the yogurt+chutney gave it some freshness and heat. Overall very interesting. However, the cauliflower could be boiled for less time so it could maintain some crispness.

Their limited menu featuring regional dishes from across India intrigued us, so we gave it a shot--and got very lucky with a late-night table that worked out perfectly for our schedule. We could tell immediately and declined to eat. Mentioned it to the manager, who waived the $50 charge for one person. I appreciate that, but it doesn't fix what happened. The better dishes (Seekh Kabob, Dal Makhani, Raagi Kunji, Mawa Cake, the naan) were solid. But if freshness is that inconsistent with the fish, what else are they cutting corners on? Here's the thing though: a restaurant doing North Indian, South Indian, street food, regional specialties all on one menu is usually a red flag. You can't do all of India well. That's like saying you mastered your grandmother's recipes from five different states. Seems like they're trying to be everything, and the fish tonight proved they're not. Even Masala can't save bad fish. And trust me, if something can't be saved by spice, it's really bad. Disappointed. Really thought this would be better.
