    Chicken Kabsa
    Matthew K.

No need to play coy, 5 stars says it all. What a delightful experience. My wife doesn't want to drive from Apex to Cary any more for our previous favorite middle eastern cuisine, because though the menu is limited it is perfect. My wife had the chicken kabsa. Now we're not experts on chicken kabsa, we've only had it once before . . . homemade by our daughter-in-law's mother visiting from Saudi Arabia. There is no doubt this is the same dish, the flavors brought our visit with them back directly. Family in a takeout tray. I had the chicken and meat shawarma combo platter over rice and it was equally delicious. perfectly seasoned meat and delightful rice. Not that the meat needed any help but the garlic sauce was great on the meat and the tahini equally yummy on the chicken. I'm not one to leave food over, but I added a quarter of my rice to the half of my wife's that she couldn't finish for lunch the next day. Also, we started with an order of cheese rolls. Looked like spring rolls, but filled with 3 different types of cheeses (halloumi, feta, and fresh mozzarella for the pull). Delicious and set the tone for the meal nicely We tried it at Peak of the Vine wine lounge during their Wednesday night wine tasting and food truck regular event. It may not be traditional to have with alcohol, but it went together really well. We've been driving by this truck in their normal spot on Salem St in Apex, but now we'll be making it a destination on a regular basis.

I got to try this new food truck in Apex today, and it is wonderful! The food was made fresh, very affordable, and really flavorful. There is a lot of thought even put into the small details-- there's picnic tables where you can sit and eat, and each one has a beautiful flower arrangement and candles. They also offer complimentary coffee or tea while you wait. I tried the Musakhan, shredded chicken rolls. They were so flavorful, absolutely delicious! I also really enjoyed the Fried Kibbeh sandwich-- everything was perfectly put together, and the tahini was great with the fresh lemon. This truck is right up the street from downtown Apex and is open almost every day. Go give them a try, they are a fantastic addition to the Triangle!

I went at around 3pm on a Saturday to get some pastries for a friend's gathering and chose this…read morespot due to the proximity to their place and also the reviews online. I am so glad I went! The pastries get freshly filled with filling upon your order, and they box it up so nicely! There are aeating benches for you to sit and wait for your order, which didn't take too long. I got 3 cannolis, 2 cream puffs, and 2 cookies (I got the last chocolate cookie of the day). Service was friendly and quick as well, only took about 10ish minutes! Everything tasted amazing! And best thing about them was that it was not too overly sweet! It was the perfect amount that makes me want to keep tasting more. The cookies especially were so satisfying and soft and I loved how everything was quite decent sized as well! I will definitely be coming back!

Stevie K Certified Legit AF! This place is so phenomenal. I only get down to Apex occasionally…read morefor work and even more rare to be there on a Saturday or Sunday (the only days they're open). So when I am, I always stop by. The pastries are the best I've ever had. I am a lobster tail junkie. Whenever I'm in NY or Philly, I seek out the best. I've been to several famous Italian bakeries in these cities and never found one as good as Utica Bakery in Apex. It's world class. Just look at the cannoli cream and pistachio cream stuffing those bad boys. Their savory foods are equally as impressive. This stuffed bread with meatballs and Parmesan was excellent and I love their tomato pie (not pictured), which I have had in the past. Everything here is outstanding! If you're anywhere close on a weekend, get there asap.
