Hotchix offers all kinds of food, and you get it in a cup. It's an interesting way of serving food, but it works. They layer stuff in really well, so that every bite is full of flavor. I bought the Frito boat totchos, which is more or less tater tots with Fritos and chili and cheese mixed in. They use a cheese sauce, instead of shredded cheese. But that's what makes it like nachos. The tots are not necessarily crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside; they're more just soft. But you get the crunch from the Fritos, and the chili was not bad. It was all beef, no beans. I feel like this is almost too much information for a simple dish like this, but it sure did hit the spot, and there was enough to share. My only complaint was the price. Went to the food truck rodeo today and this truck was there. We were so excited to try as we have heard so many things. My son got the chicken tacos wrapped in hot cakes. He was able to choose two sauces so he got Buffalo and honey mustard. The hot cake was soooooo soft! And the tots were very crispy and my son had to share as well allll loooove tots! My sister had been talking about the Mac and cheese so we got it with chicken and Buffalo sauce. It was so creamy and covered in great chicken! Super friendly, which you have to give them credit for given that it's Durham 98 degree weather. Food-wise, a yummy hand held version of chicken and waffles - with chicken tenders in a mini pancake. You can either get a combo with two or three "tacos" with tater tots, or order one as a snack for $4. Chicken was fried nicely and chicken pieces not too thick, so you get a crunch in every bite. Awesome food and great service!!! Wife, who usually not into food trucks, fell in love with their hot cakes "taco" as she calls them. Specifically she had their Hot Chix snack and I had the B.A.D. Chix. BAD Chix has scrambled egg and bacon bits. As for service, I have to give props to person who can happily greet us while it's 40 degrees out side.
