By far, this is the best taste of Philly location in the Denver Metro area. Always friendly always nice always accommodating for any special orders. Their Philly cheesesteak is consistently consistent and taste great each and every time. The ambience is definitely Philly style. I've been to others from this chain, and it was always a mediocre experience typical of fast food joints, but this visit was exceptional. I wasn't sure which Philly to get, so I asked the guy at the counter what's the best, and he proceeded to make me something from the "build your own" menu (with my permission) and it was fantastic. We arrived around 8:30 PM on June 13 and ordered our food at the counter. The woman working the front counter was very friendly, but it took about 15-20 minutes for our food to come out. We had planned to bowl afterward, so we decided to eat there. While we were still eating, about two minutes before 9:00 PM closing time, an employee came over and informed us that they would be locking the doors when they closed. At that point, we were only halfway through our sandwiches. We weren't a group that walked in right before closing; we had arrived and ordered with enough time before 9:00 PM. What disappointed me was the lack of consideration for customers who had already purchased food and were actively eating. We had been polite, tipped 22%, and were almost finished. Shortly after, chairs started being placed on tables around us, which made us feel rushed out the door. I completely understand wanting to close on time, I work in the restaurant industry myself. However, customer service should still come first, especially for guests who arrived well before closing and are simply trying to finish the meal they paid for which honestly we would have finished maybe 5 minutes after they closed. Whatever cook worked on 5/14 treated my PREGNANT wife with utter disrespect. She asked for a regular Philly with cheese and got no cheese. We made a large family order through door dash because, although their site said you could order delivery, there was no way to do it. When the order arrived the bag was stuffed full. I couldn't believe everything could be in the bag. Well, sure enough, my sandwich was missing. When I contacted the store the manager refused to come to the phone and the young man blatantly lied saying he knew he made it. Well, I absolutely know it was not in the over stuffed bag; there was no room for it. The fact they just brushed me off to door dash and lied to me is inexcusable. I would have gladly talked to door dash, which I did, but a manager refusing to come to the phone, refusing an apology, and lying about it being included in my bag is wrong. I don't know why they have such a low review here because I love coming here. I have for years and it is always fantastic. I always get the works and again it always tastes amazing! The service is average and the guys get what you need and go about their job. Nothing over the top or anything inside either but typically we order out food to go as it is. Cleanliness, service and quality has declined significantly the past 2 years. Went in today. They gave my order to someone else. The lady drove away came all the way back and they fixed her order. My sandwhich was what they had given her. When she brought it back it was fully unwrapped so she could show them it was wrong. They took it to the back and rewrapped it and tried to give it to me. I literally saw them do this. What the heck. I got mad they tried to pawn that off on me. They made a new sandwhich supposedly. they still took it to the back a second time and I am not sure. I really used to love this place. Get better staff, clean it up and bring back Boylan's. I am so frustrated. I am seriously considering if I should ever go back. As a vegan, this certainly isn't a place I would think to try (especially with only two vegan options, if ordered w/o cheese, beside the tossed salad) but my work had it catered one day so I figured I'd give it a shot. My first thought upon looking at the menu was that the prices were quite reasonable. The veggie grinder (which I ordered) was only $8 for a foot-long and $5 for an 8 inch. The tossed salad and veggie wrap are also about $6. I expected the veggie grinder to be hot as the menu clearly says "grinder=hot" but it was cold. I didn't mind though, and I was actually very pleased by the staggering amount of mushrooms, onions, peppers, lettuce, and tomato that were packed into the sub. It made for a pleasantly filling and surprisingly flavorful sandwich. Normally, I would discuss the quality of the restaurant and the service but I did not get a chance to see either of these unfortunately. Basing this review on the food alone, I'll give it three stars. The veggie grinder was a tasty and filling option, but the misleading label of "grinder" and of course the lack of diversity in what few vegan options they have leave more to be desired. read more

Our go to Philly Cheesesteak place. Such good sandwiches and their fries are the best! I always sub provolone onto my pepper philly. You can also customize and add all the works (like my husband did with his Reuben as pictured). They do a lot of order out menus (door dash etc.). They always are very friendly, calling each order out by name but also verifying the exact order items they are giving. Be careful with your first bite, these sandwiches come fresh off the grill nice and hot! Be sure to join their rewards program at check out. They also serve some Bonnie Brae ice cream inside. I am knocking off a star, after 4 years of eating and ordering delivery here because it seems like they are getting more inconsistent. Dining in, is nothing special, just some tables and chairs. It is close to Max Taps, so if you want food to take over there it is nice (just across the parking lot). However, the wait can be long waiting in store. My biggest problem is delivery. It has always been a minimum of 1 hour delivery time. I have ordered probably a dozen times over the past 4 years and it never comes faster. However, lately it is 1.5 hour+ and where they used to make it right before it came, it is generally lukewarm or worse cold when it comes. It has happened several times. I do like their cheesesteaks. Especially the green chile philly with cheez whiz. Their fries are good too (if they are hot). Plus you can get a side of cheez whiz to dip the fries. Hopefully they work out their delivery, since it is how we mostly eat here, if not it is off the delivery rotation! read more

She just looks at me with a blank stare and continues back to doing nothing which is playing on her phone. Didn't do anything to rectify the soda machine. So I got some iced-t and that wasn't acting right either. Instead of making a scene. I just grabbed a canned soda out of the fridge and sat down. As we sat there we watched 4 other people attempt to try the soda machine and all unsuccessful. Some complained, most didn't. One of the other employees attempted to fix it. I just got back from Philadelphia on my cheesesteak tasting tour. I had 15 cheesesteaks and Italian hoagies while I was there. I don't recommend this for two reasons: 1. Constipation city, that's a lot of cheese 2. Taste of Philly is right down the street and beats everything I tried there. I'm disappointed because I'm a big fan of the sandwiches and flying thousands of miles to Philly just didn't cut it. I don't know why they're so much better in Colorado but save your money and get the best. Or spend just a couple of bucks and have Taste of Philly delivered!
