It tasted and felt like something out of a can. There was a smell to the stuffing that I couldn't swallow. I literally had it throw it in the trash. It felt like there's no heart in it. It's just really disappointing because they were my all-time favorite shop when I lived in Vegas. I mean they're far away from my house so I think I had to pay an extra $10 an Uber eats delivery fees, and I didn't need a single bite. It was beyond bad. First visit to this location. And I hadn't had Capriotti's in a looooong time. They have FRIES now! Woohoo! They're FLAT. Which is interesting. Capriotti's doesn't have gluten-free bread. The nice lady said that they're working on it. She offered me a choice of a cup or lettuce. I decided on the cup. And ordered fries because no carbs from bread. Win-win! She also gave me a small discount, because I wasn't getting bread. That was so nice! I decided to try the Impossible cheesesteak. Oooh. It needed more cheese, but I got mushrooms, onions, and sweet peppers. It was served in a cup. I have to admit, that was pretty funny. I doused everything with Cholula. Yum!!! I ordered a medium, and couldn't finish it. I have gluten-free baguettes and wraps at home, so that's why I got a medium instead of a small. Did finish all the fries. While they aren't my favorite, they were good. I really prefer greasy, crispy crinkle fries. But these weren't dry. Just lacked real flavor. It's a nice, clean space, much like Highlands Ranch. It's right next to Carrera's, near Pinterest. I hope that they do add a gluten-free option soon! Eating a cheesesteak from a cup just wasn't the same, lol.

Upon my arrival I was greeted by a gentleman at the counter who, I will admit, was on his phone but I'm aware in this day and age is not a big deal. Nobody's there? Text away... I gazed upon the menu to see what my whimsy would lead me to this afternoon. After about 45 seconds to MAYBE one minute I began to speak to the Sub Savant behind the counter and he merely put up a finger to finish up his last text. I try to maintain my composure in situations like this and remind myself that other people have a life of their own with their own struggles. I ordered the meatball marinara to keep me warm on a chilly afternoon, as I'm also a big fan of provolone cheese! My grandma used to make provolone cheese in her basement in Santa Fe, New Mexico until her untimely death in 2014. So needless to say I love an establishment that shows as much respect for provolone as nana did. The Sub Savant heated my sub for a mere... 8... seconds.... The provolone cheese was practically icy, which I assume was the case because they freeze their cheese? Nana would not approve! The meatballs tasted as if they were... maybe Stouffers? Did I nail that one, Port of Subs? If not then as far as I'm concerned POS (ironic acronym but I won't hold it against them). I will say that the only saving grace in this instance was the bread. Maybeee? At least it was fairly fresh but nonetheless, not enough to save this chthonic sub that was conceived on that damned day. I figured I could bring up my concerns to the Sub Savant, however I figured my day had already come to a premature end. We even ordered a slushy and had the worker keep it in the fridge so it didn't melt while waiting for the food to be made. We took our food to go. Everything was 10/10!
