Tried this place after church on recommendation of a friend . It was amazing. So cute the aura was amazing. Service was amazing and great . Staff was attentive and friendly very on point with refills. I had the orange chicken with white rice it was spicy and freshly done. A pretty good Thai place overall . Came in with a few colleagues for dinner here's some of the dishes we had ; 1) appetiser of crab rangun was just ok. The portion was very small and there was not enough crab meat (2/5) 2) appetizer of veg egg rolls was a little better , but the egg rolls were a little bit burned and over fried (2.5/5) 3) as main I took the che chee fish which was excellent with crispy coating and very rich tomato based sauce . Really good dish (4.2/5) 4) for dessert we got the mango sticky rice which was very good - not too sweet and not dry . The day is overcast and cool so I figured some savory soup would be great to have. I looked this place up and it was less than a mile from my job so it was perfect for takeout. I arrived and a couple walked in right before me and were seated by a young lady, Shofiya. When she turned to address me waiting near the door, I informed her that I wanted to place a takeout order. She pointed to a menu sitting on the counter and then walked behind the counter to the register. I assumed the menu was affixed to the counter so I walked over to view it. I selected the crispy squid appetizer and the Tom Kha soup with shrimp. She rang up my order and I handed her $21 cash. She pulled my receipt and changed and as I extended my hand she laid them on the counter in front of me. I was offended by this very disrespectful act! But I picked up my receipt and change and sat down to wait on my order, which only took a few minutes to prepare. When my order was ready she got my attention from the counter and before I got there, sat my order down and walked away. No "thank you, come again" or anything! Doesn't look like the most sought-out Thai restaurant from the outside, but once you enter your mindset will instantly change! First of all, the atmosphere is very modern and so beautifully decorated! We stopped in to order takeout and I observed the place while we waited. It's not very big inside but they still had about half the restaurant filled with guests - a good sign. They also had numerous people pop in to grab their takeout orders - also a good sign. When we got home to try our food, we were very pleased!! My boyfriend and I both orders the Tofu Lo-Mein - I got mine a 3 out of 5 on the spicy scale and he got a 5/5. It was the perfect combination of flavor and spice for both of us! For vegetarians looking for a good Thai place, I definitely recommend you check this place out. It's been a while since I've had this particular restaurant! My gf wanted curry chicken and I wanted Thai tea so it was a good choice. The wonton soup was delicious with tasty chicken broth , wontons and cabbage . It left a nice warm feeling in the body lol! The food here is VERY good. The food is flavorful, the portions are fair, and the prices are reasonable. That being said, the customer service needs work. The staff all seemed new, I had to repeat me order several times for them to confirm it, I think that is because they were struggling with the til. The overall vibe of the restaurant seemed dirty. I ordered online, like I do with most restaurants; when I drove over there to pick up, the door was locked, and there was a sign that said that they had no electricity and apologized for the inconvenience. I ordered mixed vegetables with chicken heat level 4. There is maybe a level of one for heat so if you like spicy, this is probably not for you. The sampler platter had a two pieces each of a varied selection of fried appetizers: fried tofu (very bland), corn patties (meh), friend shrimp (okay), cheese sticks (best item) and crab Rangoon (okay, but small). The noodles weren't much to write home about, but they tasted better the next day when I had the leftovers. Also, I got two free cans of soda with the meal (maybe a Tuesday night promotion?) and a discount card for future orders. Had dinner here and I ordered one of the most common Thai dishes Tofu Pad Thai with no Eggs....We also ordered the crispy spring rolls...Fish Cakes....Beef Salad....Crab Fried Rice...Crispy Duck Basil....and Sticky Mango Rice..... My friend commented first thing is these were the smallest Fish Cakes he's ever seen but okay he didn't complain about the taste.... He did complain that the taste of the Beef Salad and Crab Fried Rice didn't taste that great....Don't recall any comment about the Duck Basil or Sticky Mango Rice.... All that being put on the side....I only had the spring rolls which were small and dry.....and I had the Pad Thai....which honestly was the worst Pad Thai I've ever had.... The Tofu number one was dry as heck...I know they say their food is fresh but so I'm going to say it was overcooked? The noodles were horrible so if those are fresh as they claim they must've been overcooked......the flavor tasted like no Pad Thai I've ever had and it pretty much is what I order at most Thai places.... FYI the servers were okay not that attentive you have to check up on customers especially we tried to wave her down to get some help a couple of times.... We ordered dinner from here the other evening because I wanted Thai food, there's no lack of delicious Thai restaurants in Arlington, and Taste of Thai had the shortest wait for delivery! Not sure if it was just an off evening or what, but we didn't love our meal. Jon's Tom Kha soup tasted super off -- almost as if the mushrooms or coconut milk or something else prominent in the dish had started to go sour. We eat a lot of this soup all over the place so I'm confident in saying this particular serving was not so good. Jon ordered "special rolls" as well which were pretty soggy. My Massaman curry was pretty mediocre. There just didn't seem to be much flavor going on. I did appreciate that all the food was super hot and packed well. And the potatoes in my curry were cooked through, which I find to be rare in most curries! We'll give Taste of Thai another try in the future. read more

I went in at about 2:30pm on Saturday. It was completely empty. There was one person who had a to go order that was waiting. The waiter/hostess was very friendly and seated me right away. I ordered crab rangoons as an appetizer and chicken pad Thai for my entree. The prepare time was very speedy. It took about 5-7 minutes for the app. To come out. The crab rangoons are very overpriced for what they give. I was actually really shocked to be given 5 tiny little pieces. The taste was decent but it had this overwhelming cheesy taste. I got the pad Thai at spice level 3, just because I wasn't sure how their levels would be at this restaurant. There was no spice at all and it tasted very bland. The food portion was huge and it came out fresh and steaming. I wasn't impressed with the food but the service was really good. We were really looking to trying this place, but unfortunately, we weren't very impressed. We started with the Thai dumplings. They were cold, hard and rubbery; but the dogs loved them. I got the Peanut Favorite Chicken. It was very "wet" - It was peanut sauce, chicken and veggies. Well, a veggie: cabbage. Yes, that was the only veggie. We also got a medium spicy Yellow Curry with Shrimp. My buddy couldn't eat it because it was extra-extra spicy. He tried to choke it down with sweat pouring from his forehead and his lips turning red but eventually gave up. Lastly, we had the Paid Thai Chicken. They forgot the seasoning and could not really taste anything, which was probably a good thing. I'm adding a star for the container of white rice. We got the Tom Kha, yellow curry with rice and a noodle dish that wasn't pad Thai. They have a very big and impressive menu. They bring the Tom out in a medal bowl with a fire in the middle, very cool. I absolutely love the yellow curry here, one of my favorite things period. The noodle dish was just okay. Their hours are just an estimate. It must depend on how they feel? They are annoyed that I came early to get a table ready & appetizers goin for my group. I can hear them being condescending & complaining that I'm texting someone. I can hear them complaining my guests won't get here fast enough to close early due to graduation traffic. We chose this place because it's the graduate's fave place & they pretend to close at 10pm. I can't get appetizers going to save time though until someone comes back. That part of my bright idea is a fail. Now I've left because my group skipped and went for pho because of the ladies talking to much crap.
