I visited this restaurant on Saturday after leaving a conference in Arlington. I ordered the original funnel cake, a daiquiri and a red Jell-O shot. The funnel cake was fresh and so delicious. I didn't even realize that you can order funnel cakes outside of the fair so I was extremely excited and the funnel cake lived up to the hype. The daiquiri was delicious and strong!!! My only complaint was the Jell-O shot, it was more liquid than solid and tasted like medicine lol. I plan to come back and check out the food and order a different funnel cake! The service was amazing and it appears to be a black owned family restaurant. I love to support black owned businesses. The restaurant is small but it was tidy and the walls are decorated with HBCU flags. So glad I found this gem and I will be back! read more

This was my first visit and I was very disappointed in the food. Especially when you are specifically doing this on a daily. The bacon cheeseburger was salty and the cheese was barely melted. The funnel cake was not warm as most are when leaving the frying pan. It (the funnel cake) was over cooked and thrown together as there was no care on its appearance. The customer service was lacking the entire time I was present. People are not concerned about what the food they sell represents anymore. This was obviously the case here on today. I hade a taste for funnel cake and stopped here as the closest offering on a late Sunday afternoon. There was one other patron inside when I came in to order. I asked for two basic funnel cakes (whipped cream on one and chocolate syrup on the other) and was told they'd be ready in 15mins. Just under 15 mins later I left with my cakes. I opened one up in the car and was surprised that it wasn't hot. Just lukewarm. Like it was made earlier and had been sitting out. Taste was okay, just not nearly as good as I'd hoped because it was room temperature and spongy in texture. Probably won't be back as there are better options in the metroplex. read more

This location is currently to go only, which I totally understand due to the current situation, however I feel as though I would have enjoyed my funnel cake better fresh since I live about 20 minutes away. When I got home, the funnel cakes were still nice and warm, but my whipped cream was all melted and I wish I would've had more strawberries and bananas. I really wanted to love this place because I had been craving funnel cake for days! It wasn't bad, but it just didn't do it for me or my daughter. My daughter ordered gelato and I had a funnel cake with powdered sugar. The gelato was decent and the funnel cake was the same. It just felt like my funnel cake was cooked a few minutes too long. But it was hot and fresh, so I won't complain. There's nothing wrong with what they are serving, it just isn't anything spectacular. I do like that they are in Arlington, which is good, because there aren't a whole lot of options for junk food in the area, especially at night. read more

Eddie Murphy had a bit about being a kid and wanting McDonald's but his mother took him home and made him a "house Burger" that was better... That's what you get here! I had the bacon double cheeseburger and my wife and kids shared one as well. Phenomenal!! Thick juicy patties, fresh veggies, cooked very well and SEASONED. Don't let the name fool you. We found this place here on Yelp, and since I haven't been to a fair or festival with funnel cakes in YEARS, I decided to make an afternoon of this sweet treat I've been craving for well.. forever. Brought my fiancee here for his bday since we are always on the hunt for a good burger & well this wasn't just good it was phenomenal. I work in the restaurant industry & this without a doubt was a fresh hearty good tasting burger! It was cooked all the way through but still juicy with just the right amount of seasoning, the bread was just as good it was nice and golden & soft & big enough to support the meat (Thank you!), the bacon was cooked just right as well & the fries were delicious cooked just right & home made! Some people could say it's a bit pricey $28 for 2 Double Bacon cheese burger combos w/ drinks but honestly I'd rather spend my money on great locally owned food than give my money to a corporation that sends out frozen food. I was so stuffed but I still ordered a funnel cake & frozen Oreos because I've been craving them for so long they also exceeded my expectations & like the burgers it didn't take too long to come out either. Service was polite & friendly & they even came by to check on us to make sure it was all okay or if we needed anything. Came right before close and the guy working the counter was a very friendly dude. The place reminds me of kid friendly super hero place. I can tell they may need a face lift and the ice cream holder needs to be defrosted a bit. The funnel cakes themselves were super yummy and the perfect warm sweet crunch. Multiple reasons- but mostly because the funnel cakes were cold. Don't get me wrong, they got devoured. The actual funnel cake batter had a great flavor. Honestly I don't know if it was the toppings or if they were under a heat lamp since it was so busy. The toppings on the Smores were very disappointing. We ended up scraping everything off and just eating the funnel cake. The marshmallows were the mini ones and they hadn't torched or toasted them- it would have really put the funnel cake on the map for me. They didn't even stick to the funnel cake, which makes me think it wasn't hot in the first place. I also don't like that weird chocolate syrup they used- I would have preferred some milk chocolate chips sprinkled and torched with the marshmallows- just my person preference though. What a hidden gem! Simplicity at it's finest. Burgers are 1/2 lb patties, well seasoned and huge. Just the way I like it. Not too salty, not too bland. Completed our meal with a strawberry and cream funnel cake. It reminded me of the ones at the Texas State Fair. Perfectly cooked to golden perfection. Not too overly sweet at all. For us, they could easily be shared with our family of four (in hindsight). You order and pay at the counter. It is a simple menu. He will do half and half on a funnel cake. Then you sit at one of the few tables. The food will be brought to your table. They also bus your table. When you pay when you order, it's good to know so you can consider about the tip. They do have burgers and another customer was getting one and they looked delicious. I also asked about the gelato and it is made locally and delivered. I can't wait to head back and try the hamburgers and gelato. The space is small. I think I counted eight tables. My dad is in a motorized wheelchair. This has been our favorite spot since the pandemic. We started going there over Spring Break 2021 and we have managed to go every weekend since the beginning of March. We love the funnel cakes here. Hubby and I thought that was quite a generous offer and we went to visit the shop on Saturday. It's small - can maybe seat about 20 people max. We got our order to go and were happy to meet Alex. This time, everything was spot on. We ordered a bacon-wrapped hot link (sans bun), a bacon cheeseburger, a blue raspberry pickle, two drinks, fries and a banana-Nutella funnel cake. It took about 15 minutes to prepare everything and we had to ask Alex to let us pay for another soda, just so we could leave a gratuity! I've added a pic of the dog and the burger and the burger tasted as good as it loooked! Great customer service recovery - we'll be back! This place is located in a small shopping complex at the corner. Just a little hard to find but we all have gps lol. The interior is cute, it reminds me of a classroom with comic decorations everywhere! So I got the cheeseburger w fries and some rocky road gelato. The food was really tasty, especially for the price you pay. Think the burger was around 4 and w fries is 7ish. The gelato was ok, not as thick as what I see usually served.
