Still one of the best Jamaican bakeries in town! From patties to their baked goods, sweet potato pudding is the absolute best.

I had no idea there was a Taste Rite in Sunrise. I've been to the one in Pines. They are located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Once I walked in, it looks like your typical patty shop. The menu is on tv screens. It's not a big place at all. Once you enter the counter is in front for you to place your order. The customer service was your typical Jamaican customer service. As a woman that comes from a Jamaican background I can say the ladies working were nice. I ordered a few spicy beef patties and a callaloo loaf. Everything was fresh and tasty. No complaints.

I refuse to rate 4 Stars or more (Yelp's Amazing!) any business I leave feeling disrespected as a customer. That said... Early morning visit, short queue, beef patties were hot (temperature-wise), freshly baked, golden color, very flaky crust, filling had a little kick, but not too spicy, tasted right. Despite the attitude with which the clarification was relayed, I did learn something this visit--Taste Rite's beef patty is neither mild or spicy. My bad, those are flavor options of its competitors. The fruit punch was refreshing. Plenty of free parking spaces in plaza lot.

Really good highly flavorful Jamaican patties as well as other backed goods. I got the beef flavor, the ackee and salt fish, and a coco bread. Patties were flaky and delicious. And the coco bread was the perfect compliment.

    Callaloo Loaf

These have got to be best patties in Florida, if not the USA. The patties are good size, well stuffed and flavorful. The meatloaf is awesome, not to mention the ackee, callaloo and other flavors. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They also have wide variety of beverages. Would I recommend them to others? Heck yes!

Patty and bread was fresh. The patty itself lacked in flavor and wish it had more meat inside. The coco bread was perfectly made though. Will come back to try other patties.

Ordered: Jamaican Beef Patty & Coco Bread I usually get patties when I visit Bravo Supermarket. It depends on how you like your patties you'll either love it or not. The texture is not the typical Jamaican patty you would get in Jamaica I like that you can taste the flavor and seasoning in the meat but the crust is soft and not flaky. Love the coco bread definitely worth having. It's a hit or miss with their puddings, somethings it so good and other time...bleh. Overall, worth trying and you decide for yourself.

Love this find by accident! OMG shrimp and lobster patties? Never heard of such choices in California. I so miss Florida Jamaican eats and cheaper prices. Suggest calling ahead for which items are available. Lucky to see rum n raisin cake. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Ordered shrimp, beef and jerk patties add other items.

Flaky crust and seasoned very well. I got 2 mild beef patt and they were tasty. Also got a guava cake and another cake which I believe was vanilla and guava. Very moist and tasty. Not too sweet which was a plus because it was still very enjoyable so I didn't feel too guilty.

my favorite beef patties! they are fresh and gooey and make sure to get some coco bread too!

It only says Bakery outside. Easy to miss. So don't miss it!!!

Patties sell off! So good. Just enough filling and always hot, the crust is great and never over done. The menu of patties is a wide selection! Though they don't always have all that's on the menu but I have called ahead and they made the ackee patties for me for pickup when they didn't have them ready made! The ladies don't have a bad attitude either like other Caribbean spots lol they have an array of sweets and baked products too. Patties are fairly priced. I'll never go to golden crust again! This small shop It's hidden away a bit though in a slow strip mall, it only says bakery on the big sign, but it's there! (They take credit cards even if the purchase is under $10 too) so drop by!

Yummy flaky patties. Wasn't hard to locate and service was fast. Depending on the time of day your going you will have to wait but the ladies move fast.

There's also plenty of seating, which is a huge plus. The only downside was the ordering process. Since it was my first visit, I didn't realize you have to take a number (similar to Publix) and wait to be called. I ended up standing in line, not knowing they were serving based on numbers instead. To add to the confusion, numbers were being called out in Spanish, which I don't speak. Once you know how it works, it's probably fine--but as a first-timer, it was a bit confusing. The coffee flavors, I felt like I can find them elsewhere but the key lime pie was nice- just sweet enough and right level of tartness. The spicy beef empanada was nice too or maybe I was just hungry. You make sure to try it and let me know if it was really good or no.
