    Empanadas & pastries

The Wild Mug coffee bar has been open for over 2 years and I only recently started hearing about it. I was drawn to this place after seeing a few tiktoks about how good it is and realizing that it's pretty close to me. I stopped by this morning and parking was a breeze. The shopping center is under construction but it's right off of the highway and easy to find. When I arrived there were a few other customers but it was not very busy. The staff was very kind and attentive. They gave me some details about the flavors they offer for their drinks and what ingredients they use in their empanadas. They had a wide variety of empanadas to choose from and the two I chose were pretty good. The matcha was a bit too sweet so I had to ask them to remake it with less of the lavender syrup and it was perfect. Adding the additional shot of matcha was worth the $1 in my opinion. Overall I think this is a solid choice for a coffee bar in Davie and I recommend it if you're in the area and in the mood for some yummy empanadas and a tasty drink.

The wild mug is a great spot if your looking to get something different in your coffee. I had a lavender latte that was surprisingly very good. I loved the floral blend with the coffee. They have the best spinach empanada that ive had till this day so definitely order it when you visit. The spot is very cute. Love the pop of color and how warm and welcoming the staff was.

Tried The Wild Mug Coffee Bar for the first time and I already can't wait to go back. The strawberry matcha was seriously one of the best matchas I've had in a long time. It was smooth and not too sweet with the perfect strawberry flavor. I also got the French toast muffin and it was so good. The service was amazing and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Such a cute spot with great vibes.

The place was very cute however the drinks were very disappointing. I ordered the I love you a lot latte and didn't really taste the raspberry flavor. I also maybe could've gotten an extra shot because it had more of a milk taste. I threw it out halfway. My friend got the strawberry matcha and there was no strawberry in it whatsoever. It honestly was a grass clippings flavor with water. She took two sips and couldn't finish it. We ordered two empanadas (country chicken and spinach & feta) which were pretty decent. Service was fast and friendly and just makes me sad that their drinks weren't good. I was very surprised since it was packed when we arrived. I don't think I'll be back if I pass through the area again.

I don't use the word "cute" in Yelp reviews often, but this is one case where it's a particularly apt description of a coffee shop. Wild Mug is an aesthetically pleasing and well-run place, with a bit of a jungle theme (I think), serving the usual coffee beverage staples and a broad array of sweet and savory treats. I had the country chicken empanada and an americano. The coffee was great, but the empanada fell a bit short of its potential due it not being served fully warm and some of the vegetables in the filling not being completely cooked. Tasty, though, and I would order the same again, hoping for a little better luck. I hung out for a bit on my laptop, but needed to do so outdoors due to a number of noisy kids inside the premises that day (not sure whether that's typical here or not).

First stop stopping by to get an afternoon latte! Lots of delicious coffee and espresso options with even seasonal specials that look delicious! They also offer empanadas, muffins, and other small bakery treats along with Panini's. The place was completely full indoor and out on a Sunday, but they do have seating options, both indoor and outdoor. The staff was very friendly and also knowledgeable about the different flavors and coffee options. This trip I got a 12 ounce iced vanilla latte with almond milk and a double espresso. Looking forward to going back to try some empanadas and Panini soon.

A courtesy four (4) star breakfast emporium. First, existing prices support a minimum of a 20oz beverage size. Also, if you visit post 9am be prepared to wait an additional 15+ minutes for service/delivery. They need extra barista's during peak hours. Unfortunately, the flavor of my iced pumpkin spice latte coffee lacked the pumpkin punch I expected. And, although the double cheeze empanada crust was warm and flaky, the amount of its filling was insufficient. My recommendation would be to save yourself $6 and patronize Duncan Donuts for their $6 breakfast meal deal.

What a cute little gem. It's in the (old Winn Dixie plaza) towards the middle near the Carvel. Great location for coffee and some empanadas. They have an assortment of baked goods and a refrigerator in the back with different juices. I had a latte and a vegan banana coconut loaf. Both were good. Service was great and they have a few tables inside and outside.

Headed here mid day during the week and in the middle of a steadily busy plaza. There were people seated outside and inside which explains the Wild Mug's ambience is good for people who want to be in a quiet spot and enjoy coffee and is also conducive for work as some people were at that moment. I had the French toast muffin and it was delightful. I skipped using the fork they gave me and devoured it. They do have a wide variety of coffee flavors as well as signature and seasonal coffees/lattes they seem to have on rotation. The pistachio iced coffee I decided to go with and what I really like is the option to add condensed milk which you don't hear very often and really reminds me of home overseas. The staff was great in making recommendations, extremely pleasant throughout the buying process and even there after when I was leaving. I'll definitely go back especially to their other pastries!

The wild mug has a great iced matcha latte. I also ordered a ham and cheese sandwich with all the fix-ins, and it was delicious. Everyone that works here is so nice, and I can't wait to go back.

I came here because on google and tik tok it was advertised as a good place to study. I grabbed a coffee that was unfortunately a bit watered down. I got the spicy chicken empanadas and it was really delicious and it would get it again. It reminded me a bit of a samosa as it had a curried flavor and had potatoes. As for studying, I was a bit disappointed. This was probably one of the loudest cafes I have ever been in. I headphones in and couldn't even hear my video. The employees behind the counter were loud and there were people chatting. I expected this on a weekend but not at 10:30 on a Tuesday. Overall, yummy empanadas but I would not recommend this place to study in

I was in Davie for a wedding and needed a coffee shop to get some work done. This was only 4 minutes from where we stayed, so I decided to drop by. I ordered a matcha, but she accidentally made a latte, so I ended up keeping both lol. They were so sweet and friendly here! The empanada was absolutely delicious! It is such a cute coffee shop with ample seating and a perfect space to work.

Great little coffee shop in Davie on 84. Great pricing in the foofy coffee drinks which the 3 teen girls I took loved. Special note was the empanada. Fantastic. It was baked not fired and was the spicy beef. Packed with meat and nice shell. The owner were there one was from Brazil and Bolivia. What a great combination. Definitely recommend.

I had the Spicy Beef and the Lomo Al Verdejo which is their specialty. I liked the Spicy Beef a lot. I expected the Lomo Al Verdejo to be more flavorful than it actually was. They mark the Empanadas with their brand and provide the option of buying Empanadas to reheat at home. It turns out that one of my brothers found this place by accident as well. Upon entering there were a couple tables and wall bar seating. Contact was immediately made with the sole employee, Erica, who was very friendly and explained the empanada options and provided me with a togo menu. Everything sounded delish but of course I went with the spicy beef for $3.79 - which is an average price. The other menu options were Humita, Ground Beef, Chicken and Knife-Cut Beef. I paid Erica and then slight confusion and dissatisfaction set in. The all too common box pull from the giant freezer where Erica removed one empanada and placed it into the oven. Upon my interest she advised me that the frozen empanadas are sent to the store about every two days to sell. In addition, they advertise from 10 $26 to 50 $115 empanadas, "Frozen directly from the freezer to oven, without dishes, without utensils, for all tastes" for big orders parties catering ect. I get the simple concept, but do you lose the bake, oven, eat taste? They also have sweet empanadas - apple cinnamon and dulce de leche for $3.79. Breakfast too - Omelette or Guave & Cheese $3.79. Offer Vegan options too - Vegan Arab, Somozas and Spinach also $3.79. My taste decision on empanadas alone at best is average, although, the perfectly small menu and the super low prices where every item on the menu is $3.79 really entices me to rate higher than normal. This top notch bathroom (very important) was so beautiful with the quaint bench and sparkling clean. I was praying for something great to happen upon first bite into the crispy shell. Well, Erica had her sights on me after our brief frozen food conversation. The shell was very crispy and the beef was smoking hot, moist and average tasting but not very spicy. Im gonna come back with the wife for another try at this shop and try the Sweet Apple Cinnamon Empanada. A strong 3.3 star rating today and hope to update it on my next adventure here.
