One of my favorite things to do is find new matcha places, and this one is definitely a gem! It's located in the Carvel shopping center on Hiatus and easy to miss, but definitely more than worth a stop. I came in on a Sunday morning around 10am and it was super crowded, which was a good sign. Despite the crowd, the line moved fast and my order came out really quickly. They have more matcha flavors than anywhere else I've seen, so it was a hard choice. I ended up going with the marshmallow, and I'm super happy with my choice. The matcha and marshmallow flavors were both strong and complemented each other well. They have a pastry case that I completely missed because it's around the corner, or I might have tried something there too. I love the cute animal decor as well, and I don't believe they charged extra for alternative milks, which is always huge bonus points for me. Decided to stop by Wild Mug since it was on the way and was very pleasantly surprised. The interior is definitely small and while I was there it was a bit busy so it felt crowded. I would recommend this as a good place to chat with a friend over a space for studying or working. Especially because I found the staff lovely and conversational. Their prices are far more reasonable than many other local coffee shops nearby which was definitely a major plus. I enjoyed the lavender latte, but would probably only get it hot in the future, and would try a different iced latte flavor. Today, we ordered the Iced Caramel Macchiato, Iced Cinnamon Roll Latte, Spicy Beef Empanada, and their Key lime Pie. The coffees were good, but in my opinion, their pastries and snacks tasted better and left a bigger impression on me. The coffee flavors, I felt like I can find them elsewhere but the key lime pie was nice- just sweet enough and right level of tartness. The spicy beef empanada was nice too or maybe I was just hungry. You make sure to try it and let me know if it was really good or no. They offer indoor and outdoor seating but are both limited so get there at the right time or be ready for Togo. The Wild Mug coffee bar has been open for over 2 years and I only recently started hearing about it. I was drawn to this place after seeing a few tiktoks about how good it is and realizing that it's pretty close to me. I stopped by this morning and parking was a breeze. The shopping center is under construction but it's right off of the highway and easy to find. When I arrived there were a few other customers but it was not very busy. The staff was very kind and attentive. They gave me some details about the flavors they offer for their drinks and what ingredients they use in their empanadas. They had a wide variety of empanadas to choose from and the two I chose were pretty good. The matcha was a bit too sweet so I had to ask them to remake it with less of the lavender syrup and it was perfect. Adding the additional shot of matcha was worth the $1 in my opinion. Overall I think this is a solid choice for a coffee bar in Davie and I recommend it if you're in the area and in the mood for some yummy empanadas and a tasty drink. read more

The place was very cute however the drinks were very disappointing. I ordered the I love you a lot latte and didn't really taste the raspberry flavor. I also maybe could've gotten an extra shot because it had more of a milk taste. I threw it out halfway. My friend got the strawberry matcha and there was no strawberry in it whatsoever. It honestly was a grass clippings flavor with water. She took two sips and couldn't finish it. We ordered two empanadas (country chicken and spinach & feta) which were pretty decent. I don't use the word "cute" in Yelp reviews often, but this is one case where it's a particularly apt description of a coffee shop. Wild Mug is an aesthetically pleasing and well-run place, with a bit of a jungle theme (I think), serving the usual coffee beverage staples and a broad array of sweet and savory treats. I had the country chicken empanada and an americano. The coffee was great, but the empanada fell a bit short of its potential due it not being served fully warm and some of the vegetables in the filling not being completely cooked. Tasty, though, and I would order the same again, hoping for a little better luck. Also, if you visit post 9am be prepared to wait an additional 15+ minutes for service/delivery. They need extra barista's during peak hours. And, although the double cheeze empanada crust was warm and flaky, the amount of its filling was insufficient. There were people seated outside and inside which explains the Wild Mug's ambience is good for people who want to be in a quiet spot and enjoy coffee and is also conducive for work as some people were at that moment. They do have a wide variety of coffee flavors as well as signature and seasonal coffees/lattes they seem to have on rotation. Whenever I'm in the area, the Wild Mug is my go-to for a delicious coffee, flavorful empanada, and flavor bursting muffin/dessert. The minute you open the front door, you are welcomed with a colorful wall representing the Wild Mugs and a beautiful glass display of their treats. If you are lucky, there won't be line of people waiting to place an order as this as you can just walk up and order right away. I usually order a Lavender Latte with either almond or oat milk as it would taste like fruit loops (recommendation of milk was from one of the workers). This is usually my go to drink from here but I changed it up and ordered the Butter Beer Latte with is delicious. Sadly, this on their "Holiday Menu" chalk board by the register but I hope it's one that will stick around for a while. If I'm coming to order some lunch with some co-workers or something for home, their empanadas are a must try. There are so many different options to choose from and each one has a different flavor profile. Highly recommend the Spicy Chicken and Beef as those are my fiancé favorites! When it comes to choosing from the glass display from muffin to tarts, you need to really take the minute and read everything that is displayed. There's so many to choose from that you might want more than one thing. I always get one their muffins as you taste and see the fruit ingredient(s) used, fluffy and moist. Fairly new spot in Plantation. SO glad we found it though cause this place rocks! Came in to try the coffee cause I'm always looking for a good coffee shop. While there for coffee, I see they have a huge selection of empanadas. I will say, I'm a bit of a coffee purist so I don't do all the diff flavors you can add, however the coffee can be hit or miss sometimes for me. The empanadas are another story though. Very glad I decided to make a quick pit stop on the way home from the movies to this place! It is very easy to find and there is ample amount of parking out front. I got a vanilla caramel macchiato and let me say oh my gosh it was divine! The caramel drizzle on the side gave it a very sweet flavor without being overpowering. I will say I wish there was a little more vanilla flavoring in it but it was a very subtle flavor with the drink I was currently having and it Blended perfectly with the caramel. The espresso was brewed wonderfully and had a nice strength to it without being overpowering. I tried so hard not to inhale this drink and finish it in two big gulps because of how amazing it was! The price was reasonable at about $6 including a tip for a small and I will definitely come back here again in the future! There's easy parking since its in a plaza and the signage makes it easy to spot right next to the F45. A cute lil spot, they have a good amount of seating and easy accessible outlets, ideal for folks looking for a spot to work from. They have coffee (of course), matcha, some baked good, and event paninis. During this visit, I got the seasonal pumpkin matcha because I was curious. I'm not really a pumpkin fan but it piqued my interest and it was pretty good considering I don't tend towards pumpkin flavored things. We also got one of their mini cakes and it was pretty good. UNBELIEVABLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Avoid this place!! This past week I've been going to this coffee bar and I am absolutely appalled by the lack of customer service at The Wild Mug Coffee Bar. I walked in expecting a premium experience, but instead, I was treated like a complete inconvenience. A barista named Vida was on her personal phone the entire time I was standing there. I was left waiting for my order forever while she scrolled through social media right in front of my face! When she finally decided to do her job and hand me my drink, it was completely undrinkable. The coffee was sickeningly, cavity-inducingly sweet, and the milk tasted completely off like it was either expired or sitting out on the counter all day. Gross! To make matters worse, the coffee here is totally inconsistent. Depending on whether Vida or Abby makes it, you get a completely different drink every single time. There is zero quality control. When I politely tried to point out that my drink tasted bad, both of them were incredibly dismissive, rolled their eyes, and basically ignored me. Save your time and your money. Came here twice and it's been consistently good. The first time I came to get work done, and there were already others working on their laptops, plug ins and wifi available. Tried my friend's iced caramel macchiato and it was good, especially if you have a sweet tooth. If you like teas that aren't too sweet, this is the place for you. I heard about The Wild Mug opening from a friend and we were so excited to see owners Fausto and Leia open up a new restaurant! We've been patronizing their dining establishments for years and we are HUGE fans of their homemade saltenas! (Very comparable to an empanada) Their location is in David, right off S.R. 84 in the Winn Dixie/F45 shopping center. The Wild Mug is located next door to the F45 with plenty of free parking in the shopping center. I went in the morning before work and was greeted by one of their employees and ordered a variety of the saltenas ($5.95 each).
