Have been here twice after reading Yelp reviews. I love the bacon cheeseburger (crispy bacon). The grilled cheese is awesome and the donuts are really tasty no matter what time you come. The breakfast burrito is so good! It is an American style breakfast burrito. I love the crispy bacon, sausage patties, hash browns, cheese and egg all wrapped up. The donuts are always perfect! They have your simple staple donuts. I ordered one and it tasted fresh and light. Absolutely perfect! The burritos are pretty good, not the best, but I still enjoy them. Ask for extra hot sauce in your burrito it makes a great difference. There are some asian ladies there that take your order and they are very nice! Cash only. read more

Waited for over half after I ordered. It seems that if one doesn't personally know one of the employees behind from behind the counter and set there and BS with them your order gets pushed back. When I first saw this place, I had my doubts about it. My coworkers recommended it so I tried their breakfast burritos and donuts. Their breakfast burritos are amazing! They put a hash brown in it, and with the sauce, it's like crack. They have bacon, sausage, ham, or plain burritos and I've tried the bacon and the sausage. Both are really good, depending on your preference, but the sausage is the processed kind. The donuts are really soft and fresh, and my coworker really likes their raisin rolls (which I will have to try one day..). It's always busy in the mornings, so orders can get backed up, and I've had to wait a while for my burrito (sometimes up to 15 minutes). I read some reviews where people complained about that, but honestly, you know you're getting a freshly made [insert whatever hot order you made], and sometimes, especially when it's busy, it may take time. If you're in a hurry, you may want to get a donut or something that doesn't require cooking in the back. read more

This place is Amazing! I worked here for 6 years and loved the food! Back in the day the owners had a place at this same spot, they deconstructed the entire block and rebuilt the place, the owners came back and opened the shop in the very same place! Everyone was happy to have Tastees back, the glaze donuts came back!!! Personally my favorite are the Chocolate bars they are AMAZING! All the donuts are made FRESH, no day olds --- the food is absolutely awesome, the breakfast burritos are very famous, the Giant Burger is sooooo good, they make they're own Thousand Island dressing, they serve Grits, American breakfasts, and Mexican Burritos , anyway (I'm getting hungry), all this you get a very good price! Only thing is that depending on the cook you get the size of your meal, also; they only take cash.. The owners are good people and it's very clean. If your in Pasadena, this place is a must go to! This place is ok, we ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches. The bacon and egg sandwiches were an ok size. We had to pay extra for cheese. The sandwiches don't come seasoned but there is salt and pepper available to add. We went around 9:30 am and it was pretty crowded and took about 15 min to receive our food,I'd return if I was in the area and try one of their burgers or donuts. read more

No different than your average Chinese owned bagel shop. The interior is really worn out and the typical crowd is very low class/ghetto, but the donuts are certainly above-average when compared to similar shops; worth stopping for the donuts. read more

Well, this place has good, fresh donuts and its breakfasts have fluffy eggs and excellent hash browns. Its prices are dirt cheap. It does have a couple of big drawbacks though -- customer service and the long time it takes to get your food. It's quite possible to have to wait 15-20 minutes for your breakfast or lunch to arrive, and that's in addition to waiting 10 minutes in a line before your order is taken. I've even been in the place in the late afternoon when it's deserted and had to wait that long for my burger. And the customer service is perfunctory at best and rude at worst. For example, today I went in at 12:05 pm and ordered a breakfast burrito -- by far the best item on their menu -- and was told by the cashier, with a smirk on her face, that "breakfast is over." I asked what time it ended, and she, with attitude, told me 12:00 pm. Now, I am a regular customer who I know she recognizes and I also know that they will serve breakfast burritos to others at any time, even at night (it even says so in one of the reviews here). Five minutes late, when I know they have cooked hash browns and bacon ready to go, and no burrito for me??? Wtf??? Unfortunately, bad attitude is typical here unless you are able to gossip with the cashiers in Spanish, in which case they will happily keep others awaiting service as they chat away.
